Congrats to Hillis!

Very annoying listening to Colin Cowherd drool all over Michael Vick on his radio show and Sports Nation this afternoon. I'm sure he's devastated Vick didn't get the cover.

Kick ass!

Can't wait to see the cover with his guns blazing.

Congrats to not only Peyton, to all us Browns fans that got him there.

Hell ya! I voted for him every week and my wish finally came true. I know its a death wish for these guys when they get there but it sure will be nice to see orange and brown on the cover for the entire year! I really thought Vick was gonna get it.

Gratz to Peyton! You deserve it man! Don't let the curse get you thinking.

I didn't catch the show last night but they were saying on RMG this morning he got 66% of the vote. That was a pleasant surprise. Does Hillis have that many fans or was it anti-Vick sentiment, I wonder?

probably a mix of people that despise vick, and the great job by the browns to promote their guy for this contest.

i was pretty neutral on vick before all his troubles, didn't care either way, not really a fan of the style, but after what he did, i probably would have voted for anyone above him (if it were a steeler i probably would have just ignored it altogether) i've had a dog for 4 years, never had one before, and it just hit home way too hard. our dog was a rescue. my girlfriend works with cops, and they think Lucy (our pup) may have been a bait dog for that kind of thing.

i don't care what people's politics are on that stuff, or what their opinions are, i can't stand the guy. and i honestly believe he isn't even sorry for what he did.

screw him. go peyton. peyton hillis is everything that makes the nfl fun. vick is the other side.

and i'm tired of the race issue. i don't think it has as much to do with it as people think. 1. browns fans would have voted for ANY of their guys 2. if peyton hillis were black, mike vick is still a convicted felon and a dog killer

I would think there would be the same sentiment for Joe Haden. A fans' player and a hard-worker. I would of loved to see him on the cover as well. (Next year! )

Besides, if Hillis won ONLY because he was white, then Aaron Rodgers would of thrashed him in the previous round.

I watched it just to see Hillis.

He was pretty good. I bet he could do something in television after football.

He did just fine.

#8: "It gets my name out there- even I have never heard of me" was precious!! He just ducked his head and laughed.... my kind of guy!

Loved the white snakeskin cowboy boots with the suit.

#3: "I get my own catchphrase: 'What you talkin' 'bout, Hillis?' -stole my line from 4 months ago on this very forum..

#1: "Helps Cleveland forget LeBron." Dropped that line with timing- and gravitas.

Dude rocked it well.... and didn't flub a single line.

Hillis.....FTW!

Loved it!

Watched it, loved it!

Glad to see him getting this exposure- well deserved. And yeas, he did well.

"Helps Cleveland forget about Lebron!"

Well the winning of the Madden cover brings the Madden curse, which cancels the Cleveland curse. So Hillis will bring it, the Tribe will win the Series, the Browns will win the Superbowl, and Lebron will drown down in South Beach.

It's all good in the hood!!!!

I would rather see LeBron drown before seeing the other two,...besides there's a better chance of that happening first anyway.

Hillis was good, but David Letterman is insufferable. How does that guy have a TV show? I'd rather watch Sean Hannity bareback Glenn Beck

They were talking about Hillis making the cover on First Take yesterday, and between all the commentators, not one mentioned his success on the field.

Two of then pulled out the race card when asked about it, and the other talked about Lebron James decision. It was poor, poor "journalism."

Yea, Vick being a black man stopped him from getting the cover?

And of course, Cleveland is so desperate for any positive news after Lebron decisioned us, that we all banded behind this no-name running back.

It was ridiculous that not one journalist mentioned his achievements on the field, or his work ethic, or how he approaches the game.

It was utterly ridiculous.

I was laughing so hard about the #1 Perk but did notice that they could have used this as one instead of giving away the royal brides......Madden curse cancels out Cleveland Curse.

Hillis did a very nice job. Glad to see this guy get much deserved recognition.

Still think he's funny. Don't watch his show, but he seemed the same as always to me last night.
