I hope people realize bledsoe sucked this year. All he did was use his speed to charge into the lane.

He didn't actually suck. His defense was very good and like you said he used his speed to get into the lane often.

Bledsoe should not have left school early, but given offensive improvement he can be a starting caliber point guard. (The Lakers could only dream of having a point guard like Bledsoe)

Mike Brown as HC rumors starting to surface. Don't know why he would go to Houston, I would think he would thrive in Indiana with their young team (and lack of superstar may be a bonus for him after the Cavs). Detroit is a mess.

Adelman in play for those too (obviously).

The word is that they've been in hot pursuit of Mike Brown. Makes sense if the Rockets feel like they need to start emphasizing defense. But Houston won't be the only guy after Brown. Detroit and Indiana will also be in play.

John Calipari is coaching all these teams.

Houston has a great GM and tons of cap flexibility. Probably one of the best openings in the league. I would hold off on everything if I thought I had even a 1% chance at that Laker job though.

a great GM who just ran off the last coach who did a heck of a job this year. Adelman is known for being prickly, but still.

Morey is a visionary for the statistics he has brought into the NBA, but he is one of the many teams stuck in the muddled middle (as are the Pacers, I just like their corps of players better).

Agree on the Laker job, but I don't see the Lakers going with a non-triangle guy for that position.

Adelman is also a offensive minded fast pace type of coach. Maybe they want a change now that the Yao Ming era is over.

When Yao was/is healthy he is a pretty dominant player. 20 points, 10 boards, 2 assists and 2 blocks per game with a care 83% free throw percentage. I'll take that everyday. He's played more than half the season every year in his career besides this past season, which is more than I thought he had played.

I I were the pacers I would keep Vogel. He seems like a breath of fresh air compared to jim obrien. They definitely have responded to the younger guy. Bird would be stupid to not hire him full-time.

they're a tough team, they're playing hard too. i've watched a bit of that series. not having collison tonight is killer though.

the first round of the nba is blah. i know it's been a little better this year, but i think round 2 is where i am realling going to be watching (plus NHL playoffs have been great so with no cavs i have been dialed into hockey)

yeah, the 1st round of non-Cavs NBA playoffs I tend to tune in for the 2nd halves of games only.

watched Spurs v. Grizz 2nd half last night and switched it over to Lakers v. Hornets until the start of the 4th (that one became obvious)

And, I can't believe Richard Jefferson made the 2 biggest clutch plays for the Spurs last night (he grabbed a rebound in heavy traffic, got the outlet pass to Tony Parker, and then nailed a spot-up 3pter from the corner to put the Spurs up 8 and basically put the nail in the coffin).

that's the spurs in a nutshell. they're a complete duplicate of the new england patriots.

they're so overrated. Oklahoma City will smoke them if they could get past the grizz.

I agree in some parts with the NE comparison. But, Richard Jefferson in his time there has been anything but clutch. Plenty of their fans do NOT want the ball in his hands the last few minutes of any game. That's why it was so surprising he made the key plays down the stretch.

as for their playoff chances, they completely went away from their championship philosophy that was built on defense. it was really a smart move for them because they didn't have the pieces to make it work this season, but I also think it will be the reason that they eventually get bounced (I don't think the Grizzlies are seasoned enough to beat them).

If OKC plays the way they did last night they will smoke every team.

I have Spurs and Celtics in the finals. History trends favors San Antonio.

OK ... is this kid now a possibility for the Cavaliers ..... who happen to desperately need a SF?

Texas' Hamilton declares; Thompson, Joseph enter minus agent

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas players Tristan Thompson, Jordan Hamilton and Cory Joseph have all declared for the NBA Draft.

Hamilton, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward who led the Longhorns in scoring last season, plans to sign with an agent, which would immediately end his college eligibility.

"My family and I really took our time with this decision and waited to get a good feel of what this year's draft class would look like and where I can be drafted. With all the information we received, it is best for me to move forward now and pursue this opportunity," Hamilton said.

Thompson, a 6-8 forward and Joseph, a 6-3 guard, both were freshman last season. They plan to submit their names but will hold off on signing with an agent, according to Texas officials. That will allow them to return to Texas if they choose to.

The NBA deadline for underclassmen to submit their names to the NBA is Sunday. The NCAA allows them to withdraw by May 8 and still maintain their college eligibility.

"I will continue to gather all the information about my draft status and use that information over the next two weeks to determine whether or not to keep my name in the draft," Thompson said.

If Thompson or Joseph -- or both -- decide to leave with Hamilton, it would drastically change the lineup next season for a Texas team that rose to No. 3 in the rankings and challenged Kansas for the Big 12 title.

They could join Kevin Durant (2007) and Avery Bradley (2010) as freshman who left the Longhorns in recent years.

Texas has one of the top-ranked recruiting classes coming in, highlighted by guard Myck Kabongo.

Texas started 11-0 in conference play before a 5-5 finish down the stretch with a second-round loss to Arizona in the NCAA tournament.

Hamilton averaged 18.6 points last season. Thompson, the Big 12 freshman of the year, averaged 13.1 points and 7.8 rebounds and blocked 86 shots. His teammates voted him the Longhorns' most valuable player. Joseph averaged 10.4 points and three assists.

The UNC kids - Barnes, Zeller, and Henson all returning to school really hurt everyone else. Those 3 returning made this draft that much weaker.

Tomorrow is the deadline for underclassmen to declare, I'd be surprised if you don't see a few more unexpected names enter.

I really don't understand why Barnes stayed at all.

Lebron is screwed either way. If the Heat do win several championships people are going to look back and say "LeBron road coatails to win his first championship". In other news, it was funny to watch LeBron get his potential game-tying layup rejected today. I'm not expecting the Sixers to make much noise, but its good to watch Miami struggle in the first round.

Unfortunately, that's true.

The only way the NBA will put an and to this stuff is to do away with the salary exemptions. If a team uses up all of their cap room on 3 players, then they have to play with 3 ...... well, then they aren't going to win anything. Ditto for the Heat. If you have to play under a hard cap, then this trend towards "mega-teams" will have to stop.

It's gonna drive fans (like me) away, as it already has. The NBA gets NONE of my time anymore.

And the only person hurt is me,...cut off the nose to spite the face. I love Tim Duncan and don't even watch the Spurs playoff games.
