There are probably a number of RBs that would look good here.

yeah, Hunter/Todman/Murray should all be in this range. I would have Kendall Hunter first of those guys.

I like Shane Vereen better than all of those guy's. With Gore constantly being injured it might be a good idea for San Fran to pull the trigger on a rb at this point.

My opinon, SF needs to upgrade thier Guards, they had injuries and I believe had back-ups finish up the year, David Bass is known for injuries.

Hunter was picked by the packers with the last choice of the second round.

I like RB or DT for the 49ers

My thinken is 3rd round is a good time for a good young OL..There are plenty of RB on the FA market if it ever opens to sign one and plug a hole for a year, an draft a RB later, just my opinon,

I hadn't heard that. On a few sites I visit, they still have 3-4 listed for them.

Regardless, I think RB would be one of the bigger needs. Todman would be my vote (Hunter was taken in the 2nd by the Packers)

Would they take a guard this early after taking Iupati last year in 1. It seems to me that they have bigger needs (OLB, RB, DT and possibly center and FS) than OG. Just my opinion.

Good point, take my vote away from Todman then, I'm only a few picks away as well.

Yea.. i really wanted to go o-line or wr but I didnt want to reach.. Jenkins is projected to go around the 3rd, maybe 4th, so I went with him.

So so far...

Peterson - CB
Houston - DE
Jenkins - DT

Seems cool so far..

I think you could have gone Gilbert or Rackley on OL, or with Cobb or Jernigan at WR - none would be a stretch here. That being said, I like the pick and the draft so far.

after Jenkins I had:

Drake Nevis - LSU - I really REALLY like this guy, but he is a little undersized.
Jurrell Casey - USC - talented DT, but not sure if he will be a starter in the league.

I've seen Cobb being mocked in the last 1st or early 2nd round...mid third might be a steal

I don't think that Jenkins will be a big pass rushing force, but he seems to do a nice job against the run.

I like the Houston pick. He always seem to be in the backfield from what I have read.

Peterson would give us a lockdown backfield.

I still think that we need to look for a S ... unless we're going to move Sheldon Brown there. I think now we should look for speed .... speedy OLB. speedy WR, speedy RB.

I would be pretty content if the draft fell the way it has so far for you.

well, they hired Vic Fangio who ran the 3-4 with Dom Capers in the NFL, but also ran the 4-3 in a bunch of spots as well. So, they really could go either way and Vangio hasn't been forthcoming in his few interviews.

so, I would suspect that they play both (like the Ravens, Raiders and Patriots do).

Rams/Hawaii 5-0. I was hoping he'd pick last night.

In case it becomes relevant, they took a wr and a FS. If heldawg doesn't get his pick in, we can talk about what they need then.

Internet consensus seems to say DT, OG, DE. Frankly, they could use another wideout as well.

I'd add OLB to that list, but I'd say DL and OG are definite needs. I would suggest names, but I'm up in a few picks...

I think they resign Clayton (he and Bradford are friends, Mark finally started to have a good year with Sam, etc) and will be okay at WR with Amendola there as well.

We also mentioned CB and OLB as needs for the Rams 2nd pick. Not to mention they could use another RB as S-Jax looked really run down by the end of last year.

CB: Johnny Patrick
OLB: Foster, KJ Wright or McCarthy (I see McC as an ILB myself)
DE: Romeus/McPhee/Allen? (all seem like reaches here)
DT: Nevus
OG: Moffit/Morris
RB: Todman/Murray/Vereen

Time's up.

Well, if OLB is a need for them, Foster has got to be the highest-rated player on the board.

Otherwise, if DT is a greater need, I'd say this was a nice place for Drake Nevis.

those were the two I was thinking as well. they are both pretty dang big needs for them.

next to chime in gets to be the tiebreaker?

Looking to trade up into the 3rd round with the Cardinals. I am willing to trade picks #99 and 184 to get where I want to go.

Send me a PM if you're interested.
