Catoosa County GA has requested Mass Casualty Trailers to be sent to them. The storms are so severe that it is throwing 18 wheelers off of I-75. I did hear from Con~Artist and he said that the storms hit NORTH of him. Haven't heard anything bout Peen. Prayers are going out to all.

That's terrible. My prayers to all of those affected, and I hope that everyone on the board escaped any and all danger.

I watch a lot of those stormchaser shows, and I don't think I've ever seen one look this wicked:

DC if you turn on the weather channel they are showing the radar so you can see exactly which way it's heading.

Michelle - it was a 10/10 on the tor:con

Catoosa County GA is in a very bad way right now. They requested Mass Casualty trailers to be sent by EMA (GA's)

I haven't checked out any real numbers but does anyone know if any of this has rivaled the super outbreak in 1974, April 3rd and 4th, where an F5 devastated Xenia?

Well that was weird, after I typed that I turned on the weather channel and they were discussing that very thing. Not quite there, but damn close.

About an hour ago they interrupted the TV shows here with weather reports and said they had reports of a possible tornado just north of Celina, which just got hit last week.

i was watching a show about tornados and they said that tornados are not as strong as they used to be, ie the 1974 tornado which spawned 6 F5 tornados

either way, its a shame when lives are lost

Girlfriends parents and one of her sisters are in Chattanooga, she hasn't heard from them. Hopefully everything's cool but I heard on the radio just now there have been 85 death's in the south so far

Of course it was funny, as soon as I told atomic that it all was north of me, it started to downpour. However our tornado sirens never went off here which is crazy since just two hours north is devastated. We did have a couple of tornados about a week or two ago but they only caused minor damage.

That same system created a couple around Tampa where my parents live. In Indian Shores, this older lady (around 91 I think) lived on the second story (of a two story house) on the beach. I guess her son or someone called her up and told her that she should probably get downstairs because there are tornados around. Apparently the second she got to the bottom of the steps, one touched down right on the house and ripped the roof right off. That was the only major damage in that area. Talk about great timing.

I have the weather channel on now. They showed what is supposed to hit my area today. Not as bad on the tor:con but still supposed to have high/severe winds with strong and damaging hail. This line of storms covers the entire eastern seaboard.

My prayers and thoughts go out to those that are in the damage areas.

Jan & all of our East coast dawgs.....stay safe today. Be alert and have a good plan. Also please check in with us as soon as you can.

Peen....PEEEEEN!!!! Are you and your family okay??

I urge everyone to make a donation to the Red Cross. www.redcross.org Even $5 will help. My God, this is horrible and people have literally lost everything. Hard to fathom and hopefully we never find out what it's like.

It is times like these when I remember just how small and fragile we are in nature . Last night I watched a National Geographic special on the Tsunami in Japan and I was awed at the size and scope of the devestation . I get the same feeling looking at the carnage left behind by these storms . My heart goes out to the victims and the survivors.

Chelle, thank you for the thoughts. I am being diligent right now because it went from a watch to a warning. I will be going topside to check the storms and see what I can see. They are calling for the tornados to hit about 20 min drive from my house. I promise I will keep everyone posted.

PEEN, please if you can check in and let us know you are ok my friend, please do.

I was just wondering if anyone can get in touch with Peen. I know some of you have hooked up with him for various events. Does he have a cell phone? Can anyone call him?

Just remember, these storms have been destroying everything. There is a good chance that Peen doesn't have power or phone lines right now.

That's what I was thinking to Michelle. Surely someone on here has his cell number. Since he usually sells his 2nd ticket to a friend from here.

Ok, folks that have bought Peen's second seat for games...PLEASE reach out to him for us.

This might be a good time to consider a "phone tree" for those that want to be included. I can organize it and share it with a couple others in various places...in case of severe weather as we had yesterday.

What say you guys?

That sounds like a very good idea. That way if someone is in the path of the devastation we can at least contact the Red Cross.

I just checked my pm's. Don't have it there but I still have another place to check. I still have my "ohio" cell phone even if it doesn't have minutes on it, I can still access the sim card and see if his number is there. Will let you guys know what I find out after I get that damn thing charged so I can get into my numbers.

all's good...thanks for the thoughts.

That was the worst weather day in my life....4 massive storms hit the area...all around me thankfully.

Power went out Wed 9am and is still out...probably will be for several more days...really...it looks like a war zone.

Ringgold, Ga got wiped out...that is about 15 miles south.

Typing in the car ..going to seek out a place to watch the draft.

I'll check back in later with details.
