Sure. You've created a one big strawman that you attack. The whole paragraph is your own interpretation of what being centrist is, not what an actual centrist believes themselves to be, which you proceed to dismantle and set fire to. Does a centrist actually favor a one party system? Do they actually want to exclude the fringes of each side? (Actually, that last question is kind of like anyone who holds to one party over another. Does someone like that actually ever want anyone from the "other side" elected?)

Actually it would serve two purposes.. one is that it would spur debate as we would likely disagree with a bunch of it so we would post why we believe that is NOT extreme... and second it would make you look less like a guy who spouted off an opinion and then realized he was backed into a corner and had no real concrete examples he could give to defend his opinion. Which is sort of how you look now.

I hate to pile on, but this is as silly as saying that the Democrats are extremist, and when asked why saying because they have Pelosi and Kucinich as their face.
If you said that you are opposed to not raising the debt ceiling, I could understand your view of the Tea Party. Your personal disdain for individuals makes you look petty. It also explains your reluctance to explain your dislike of the Tea Party in the first place. "I don't like Palin" isn't much of a reason to approve of out of control spending.
So, why bother.. I'm not interested, I made the statement and I"m sticking to it.., and I don't owe anyone an explaination..
It doesn't seem like you're sticking to it if you bail on expounding upon it.
And I really don't see how citing Bachmann or Palin explains extremity. Those two, along with the Tea Party, are pretty much status quo as far as Washington D.C. goes.

I forget who it is who keeps saying they'd like Christie to run. Well, he just came out with something that's probably put him out of the reach of the GOP.
Thoughts? While I admire him for facing facts, learning on his own and seeking out information (and this definitely makes him a candidate I'd vote for) but I wonder if him going against the grain with the republican party by admitting to anthropogenic global warming as a problem will prevent a potential bid.
