Oh goodness,,, I could drive a truck through the holes in this post...

Agreeing with anybody but your own opinion my guess manifests the same feeling. Let the Rookie Beat out Vickers, if he can. Don't shove him out the door.

See, you don't know the whole story.,., neither do I by the way.,., so it could just as easily be that there are other issues with Vickers.

This regime kicked Brady Quinn to the curb and brought in Payton Hillis.., Both moves you barked about for months until they were proven to be good.
decsions.

We will see if shoving out Shaun Rogers out the door was a good idea by what he does on the field not your opinion of a player pushing past an achilles injury.

Unless Rogers is healthy,, he's a waste of money and space.. basically, he hasn't been for 2 years. Not to mention he's starting to become a grey beard.
They drafted two very talented (unproven of course) young guys for the Dline. let's see how they work out.

I think pushing out a devastating blocker when you did very little to address offensive line issues and drafted no RB help for Hillis and are counting on perennially injured Hardesty is beyond foolish.

I'm sure they'll pick someone up in FA to back up Hillis. Getting rid of Vickers doesn't make a ton of sense to me either based on what I've seen and read. The FB they drafted seems to be just as tough as Vickers so it might be a wash.

I'm still not convinced that other problems with him didn't surface. We'll see I guess. But unlike you, I'm not really willing to throw Heckert and Holmgren under a bus until I see how it plays out.

Oh, when we pushed Edwards out the door Rookies were handed a starting position and we STILL have the worst set of WRS in the NFL

Really with the Edwards stuff again...

Two different regimes have thought better of Momass and Robo than you do.. TWO DIFFERENT SETS of leaders have decided to give them more time to develop. But you insist they are the worst in the league..

PLEASE,, call them ham sandwichs.. PLEASE

Oh, a final thought, oft repeated on the ravens board is Ozzie is dumping his FB and salivating at the prospect of Vickers. I guess someone appreciates great blocking aside from Hillis

Come on man.. how many times on this board did you hear that we are salivating over the prospect of picking up Orlando Pace or this guy or that guy..

And it never seems to come true does it.

When guys like you and me on this board make a comment like that, all we are saying is WE would like to see it.. Doesn't mean Ozzie wants it.

Seems to me that you just enjoy being a negative nancy...

Hey Rogers was one of the most valuable guys in the league. So valuable we we paid him over 400k per tackle last year.

And he won the Miami game for us pretty much by himself.

Since we are driving trucks through holes in opinions I would take my shot at the wheel.
1) Wow I agree. I don't know the "whole story" about Vickers. yet when a guy does not complain, throws crushing blocks it seems I can only go by what i see. Since the guy has NOT been a problem in the past I assume his attitude is not a problem now except him saying What? When we drafted a FB. I agree. We don't know the whole story yet a guy who has been a team player in the past i can only assume attitude is not the problem nor is performance. I will let you guess the rest.

2) ohh the Brady Quinn for hillis. yep I missed that one. you can chew on that bone forever to make you feel smug. I am glad as hell I was wrong as hillis was one of the few bright spots on the team.

3) momass and robiskie, two receivers who get no separation, and this regime is slowly, real slowly awakening that one or both may have to be relegated to the bench, unless we are delusional again to pronounce we need no wr help and poor Colt mcCoy is left running for his life left with the likes of them to get open.

4) the Quote about Ozzie wanting Vickers was oft repeated on the ravens board. Just thought I would mention it. If he jumps on Vickers and he does well I guess that is your turkey sandwich.
