First thought that came to me was,, Mike Brown is a joke. He said he wouldn't trade Carson Palmer because Palmer made a commitment and he wasn't going to reward him for welching on the commitment (paraphrasing)
But he'll trade another big mouth like Ochocinco when he whines about wanted out.
The apple fell pretty damn far from the tree with him that's for sure.
I don't mean to give Mike Brown too much credit or anything but is it possible that he thought maybe he could solve two problems at once here... get rid of Chad the loud mouth distraction and maybe that would also make Carson Palmer more willing to play?

You are giving him way too much credit. He is just stubborn, and nothing else.

Not saying that I give a hoot about Palmer, but Brown could be more consistent. I mean Chad gets his trade while he FORCES Palmer to retire?
He could get a pick or two for Palmer. And you can't say they couldn't use the picks.

Exactly, All Brown is doing is cutting off his nose to spite his face. Makes no sense to not get what you can for Palmer.

I hope he goes to the Jets.
As a logical human being, I am morally obligated to hate everything associated with the Cowboys, including Jerry Jones, Jason Garrett, and, sadly, the cheerleaders.

If he goes to the Jets, the NFL becomes a two team race for the Super Bowl. And they play in the same division

New York Giants players reported for camp Friday morning but Osi Umenyiora will likely not be joining them.
According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Giants defensive end is not expected to appear at Giants training camp on Friday. He did not show up for his 9 a.m. ET physical and the team has a meeting at 1 p.m.
Umenyiora is at odds with the Giants over getting a new contract. He has two years and a total of $8 million remaining on his contract and he wants a raise. Players who hold out of camp will be fined $30,000 a day. There is a one-day grace period. If Umenyiora doesn't show up on Saturday for the first day of practice, he is expected to be fined $30,000 a day.

The Giants are pretty deep at defensive end (Tuck, Kiwanuka, Pierre- Paul) maybe they will trade Umenyiora. He would be better than Ray Edwards, that's for sure (although Edwards is four years younger).

Ray Edwards Stats
I would be extremely excited if we somehow got this guy. But I think it is unlikely. The Giants might have to get rid of him though as they are trying to re-sign a lot their own guys.

Thet Patriots are in talks to acquire him and a 1st round pick from the Giants for a bag of commemorative golf balls and a Bill Belichick autographed picture. (Just kidding ..but the off-season the Pats are having so far, that might not be too far off)

Get your pitchforks and torches ready again...
A certain bald reporter from is reporting a certain former Viking is signing with a team not named the Cleveland Browns.
(Jay Glazer is reporting Ray Edwards signed with the Falcons)
I'm not too sad about this as I think Edwards is overrated and about to be overpaid.
