The way I play is that I strip down a whole team (I will have the worst players in the game playing at each position) and build only through the draft (no Free Agents at all). Then I will play the first game of the year and sim the rest. If I make the Super Bowl then I will play it. With this way of playing obviously I'm going to have a few rebuilding years that will cause me to pick in the top 10.
If I were to play the games myself I would be in the Super Bowl probably every year considering I've been playing the game since the mid 90s. I find it boring and time consuming unless I play the way I do.

I started the "No Free Agents" gimmick a few years ago. It was WAY to easy to make a great team.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Thats all me and my bro ever did, We'd both pick a lower level team, and either you had to build them up, or do good enough to get a better job.
NCAA 12 ruined that cause you can only do one team at a time *shakes fist*
I like the points system for recruiting though, Now i don't have to squint at an interest bar...
EDIT: The best thing that ever came out of Me and my Bro's dynasties, because we'd sim every game (unless we scheduled each other, which we always did) was I was UTEP and he had moved on to USC, we had to schedule our game for week 15, he went into the game undefeated, and I beat him, he won the Pac-10 but missed the NC game because of it... SCORE!

So you can have as many files for dynasty but in one dynasty you can only have one team?

As far as i knew, cause every time I'd start one, i'd pick to be a HC, OC or DC of a team, and that was it...

I finally got my copy of Madden the other day, I have played 2 games so far, and messed around in franchise for a bit..
It's a tad better than last year's game, but I still feel that NCAA is vastly superior. The feel, the overall experience is just better. Dynasty mode beats Franchise mode no question.
I've only been into Dynasty mode on NCAA the last few weeks but it really got me hooked.
Hoping to get in some FIFA soon as well. Still haven't even opened it.

Man I am having trouble passin the ball with Colt, lol yea I know he's not the best but he looks as bad as joe bauserman, every pass is out of bounds if i put some ass behind it, and if I touch pass it gets picked.
It's a nice game, the interface is improved. The franchise/GM mode is fun, but it's still lackluster.
I just don't get how NCAA can be vastly superior, yet both games are literally made in the same building.

Yikes, does that mean a fan in the 4th row is the team's leading receiver?

it's definitely colt mccoy b/c I have no problems throwing with other QB's... well.. Matthew Stafford who I'm doing a nfl franchise with fantasy draft.. He whips the ball out with ease. However, it's still hard to throw bullet passes without them getting tipped or intercepted with ease by a LB or Safety..

i finally started a browns 'chise determined to not homer it up and fail as a GM I had little issue w/ colt except his ceiling for me was 85OVR or so... and his deep ball was reallllllly bad lol. My first season the team made the playoffs and the second year won the superbowl , both seasons all the games were simmed. I think what happened in year 2 was i needed a QB (Colt went down for 10 weeks in week 15) so i picked up McNabb... he really lit up the place! I decided to pull a holmgren and researched QBs in rounds 4-7. I ended up drafting a 73 OVR A POT QB in round 6. He's not much of a scrambler but with 98THP and great accuracy I don't care lol. Traded Colt to the Jets so I'd avoid a QB controversy Hillis is a Bill now too after my 6th round RB somehow got into the 90s ovr... I'm doing pretty well with late round gems Two interesting things maybe people can clue me into: 1) It seems the OL either gains OVR or loses OVR as a unit. Really sucks to hae your entire OL starters lose 3 OVR... shoot Joe Thomas is 88OVR now I think I've fixed it by investing heavily into allstar lineman and they are creating nice running lanes and pockets now. 2) Phil Taylor would *NOT* resign with me. I even offered a ridiculous contract... Is Morale back in the game? I had to franchise tag him and trade him for two firsts and a second since he was highly rated

I used to do dynasties with I-AA teams like Sam Houston St or Harvard. The highest rated player would often be like a 53 or something.
They got rid of that aspect ... I'm pretty sure you can still download the teams, but once they cut out the I-AA teams, I lost interest.
