2. Daman picked up on that quote, and said: "Diam- Is that you?" The way it was written and the approach taken remined him of Diamdawg... .

I said that. Daman quoted me on it.

I thought Bard was laughing about D-shot's comment about how "English" would "translate" on the field... seemed like something Bard would pick out to me. Maybe not.

He seems to have the size to be a good run blocker, I just wonder how his pass protection is....anybody got anything?

1. the Redskins are in the middle of a youth movement. Hicks did not fit there.

2. Hicks was due about $3 mil IMO his departure from the Redskins had as much to do with salary than anything.

My impression;

Will fill the same role as Womack, just not as well.

I think I read that Womack is already on the IR.. so i guess i'll take Hicks this season.

we are paying for our lack of activity in free agency regarding our oline.
we let Wmack go.
Got hit with a retirement,
an injury to steinbach
pashos is in a boot( he is the Donte Stallworth of durability of OTs)
and we have to get table scraps.

you are perhaps the most short sighted person I've ever met.

in all fairness how was the FO to know Yates would retire and Steinbach on IR? Pashos may be back sooner rather than later.

Any other team would be in the same situation if that happened, maybe even worse. Besides...... Hicks , Cousins and Greco may be about as good as table scraps get.

did you have anyone better in mind ?

IMO the FO did about as good a job in this situation as possibe or at least practicle.

PS imagine this OL

LT: Hicks
LG:Pinkston
C: Vallos
RG: Greco
RT: Cousins

I think we have had worse starting OLs than that

I am sure you felt compelled to say that.
I stated we needed help on the oline before the season? was that short sighted?
I stated my concerns with the injury history of pashos and he is already in a boot...was that chort sighted as well?
I stated we had no depth and are now scrambling the waive wire as we have had to add emergency oline due to the loss of steinbach..was that short sighted.

I think what IS short sighted is your reflexive need to criticize any comment that does not agree with yours...oops I just made a short sighted comment as well. hah!

I cant' help but feel that way joe.. you come here and constantly complain about everything.. If there isn't anything to complain about, you just twist the truth to fit you new complaint

Hindsight is something you use constantly to prove a point.. as if your crystal ball was working and you could see everything that has happened.. BEFORE IT HAPPENS

I think Pashos is like a dangling carrot to many GMs. That would be the only explanation that he's had a paycheck all these years.

He's pretty good, just can never stay healthy. I'm with joe on this one that I am really sick of seeing his name on the roster and his foot constantly in a boot. I think Heckert saw that dangling carrot and went for it, thinking this time 'round would be different for Pashos. Besides, we had plenty of other spots to address this offseason. You can only really address so many at a time before you have to start looking through table scraps.

Given the assumption that Colt doesn't totally implode, making us go all in for the Luck sweepstakes, we have the draft picks to be trade down machines next offseason. RT will be addressed, and you can hold me to that.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

There was no one out there that we could have gotten for a decent price that would of been better than the scraps we got now.

BTW last time we had a problem was when we signed Bentley then traded Faine because he was unhappy we got Bentley, even though Bentley could play guard as well. Bentley then gets hurt in the first practice. We get someone's scraps in Hank Fraley and we went on to win the most games in one season since coming back in 1999.

Womack is also on IR.

We did get Artis Hicks, who is probably the equivalent to Womack.

You were right about Pashos not being able to stay healthy. But that's something everyone already knew.
