Yeah ... but I still don't know how the probation on criminal charges affected their ability to get US contracts.

I would suspect that it made it difficult, if not impossible, to even be considered for approval until the probation was settled.

Possibly.

Especially in this administration.

Hey ... I just thought of something.

Does Obama's latest rant against "hedge fund managers" mean that he is going to go after George Soros anything soon? Maybe to confiscate his earnings ...... and property ..... since he is the biggest, richest, and most evil hedge fund investor on Earth? Or maybe it's just the managers ... but not the investors?

It would appear that the "It's all George Bush's fault" excuse is starting to wear thin with people... especially those "independents"...

More voters begin to ‘blame’ Obama for the struggling economy

President Obama's poll numbers have taken a hit in recent months amid voter discontent over how his administration has handled the dismal economy. But for the first time, a new poll finds that a majority of Americans are beginning to actually blame Obama for the nation's economic problems.

According to Gallup, 53 percent of those surveyed say Obama bears some of the blame for the struggling economy—the highest number recorded on the question since he took office in 2009. Twenty-nine percent of those polled say Obama bears "some blame" while 24 percent say Obama deserves "a great deal of blame."

Yet more Americans still put most of the responsibility on former President George W. Bush for the nation's current economic predicament. According to Gallup, 69 percent of those polled say Bush bears the blame. (Obama and Bush weren't matched head to head.)

Heading into 2012, Obama has repeatedly argued that he inherited the struggling economy, pointing the finger back at Bush's policies. But the Gallup poll finds Americans less and less willing to get him the benefit of the doubt--doubtless a worrying sign for the strategists spearheading the president's re-election efforts.

Among the most skeptical: self-described independent voters, who are sure to be a critical constituency in next year's presidential election. Sixty percent of independent voters say Obama bears the blame for the dismal economy—a 32 point increase since Gallup first posed the question in July 2009.

Well, as that video points out Obama promised to turn things around and that we're headed in the right direction. We're on the downside of his first term and there's absolutely no indication that we've even come close to hitting bottom, let alone begun the climb out.

Kind of hard for the guy to continue blaming Bush for our problems when he's pretty much just picked up Bush's torch and ran with it.

His popularity problem lies in the fact that those who would traditionally oppose him, of course, do, and think that he's some sort of firebrand progressive bent on reshaping the nation. And those who would traditionally support him view his tenure as one laden with conservative policies that were outright opposed to his campaign rhetoric. In other words, he's the status quo, after having run on the idea that he was breaking the mold.

In terms of popularity, he's becoming a man without a country. Though this doesn't always mean much, electorally speaking. You will have plenty of folks who will voice their displeasure with him, yet will still vote for him anyway.

Obama, come election time, will need to find something to stir up his base, and I think it will be something along the lines of 'they want to get rid of popular social programs'.
