If nothing else, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Hopefully it works out great.

Where are the medium passes? Where are the passes from left sideline to right sideline? Where are the deep passes (or even medium passes) that take advantage when teams cheat up to stop the short passes?
I don't know enough to argue so I won't. But as Mourg said in a post somewhere we're probably 25% into this offense. It's been what, nine weeks now of coached offense?
There's a lot of playbook installed now and as much as anything that can be overwhelming on a QB with so little game-time in it. I believe we're seeing Colt struggling to decide what to do with what he's seeing. I think that's understandable. I certainly don't hold expectations on him as though he's an experienced WCO quarterback. At this point he's anything but.
Heck, we've just seen the beginning of him trying to resist scrambling and step up in the pocket. Stay in the pocket and make the decisions from there instead of scrambling to buy time. He's not always buying time from the pass rush, he's buying himself time to think.
This offense is young. Everyone in it is young. That's where I think the whole offense is being evaluated a bit unfairly at this point in time. We should see consistent improvement and progress. But it's my estimation that we'll be 10 games in before we see a marked improvement in the offensive rhythm.
I'm not good at looking stuff up like you are. But I'm curious as to where his throws were last year compared to this year. One of the knocks on Wallace was that he seemed to only see one side of the field whereas Colt used the whole field. But I never took notice if that were true. Well, I do know the comment was true of Wallace. I could see that. But didn't notice if the comment was true of Colt 'cause I was busy loving his accuracy compared to seasons past.

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010111401...lyze=playbyplayThis is the play by play of last year's Jets' game. Look at all of the deep pass attempts by McCoy. Here is the Bengals game from late last year. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010121902...lyze=playbyplayHe appeared to use the whole field better to me. He went deep left, right, and middle in these games. That doesn't even mean that he is chucking the ball 50 yards downfield on those plays. I think that the NFL must consider anything that goes over the LB position a "deep" pass.
