Bye, Marcus.

Hope we get your replacement in the offseason, you stupid dope.

Wasn't benard a undrafted free agent when we picked him up?

If I'm right about that, then he was lucky to be in the league in the first place. how dumb do ya gotta be to throw away a promising career.

It's one thing if you are a 1st round pick and you get a few million in your pocket.. But this is dumb..I really thought he was smarter than that.. guess not.

English is gonna come in and make us forget all about Benard

If he went flying 214 feet, that would make sense.

I can't see anyone flying 214 feet from a seated position on a 3 wheel vehicle.

From what I've heard, the car behind him stated the one of the tires came off and thats what attributed to the crash...

Thrown 241 feet and all he gets is his hand broken? wow.. talk about lucky

What's even more impressive is that a motorcycle threw Marcus Bernard farther than McCoy can throw a football.

I just read today that, even though they don't have to pay him for the rest of the year since it was a non football injury, the Browns have said they will continue to pay him.

Report: Browns will pay Marcus Benard

Browns defensive end Marcus Benard got lucky on Monday when he wrecked his three-wheel motorcycle into a guard rail, flew 241 feet through the air, and walked away with only a broken hand.

Benard has gotten even luckier, given that the Browns have decided to pay Benard the rest of his salary for the season.

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Browns will pay Benard $370,000 while he is on the reserve/non-football injury list. The team would have been within its rights to cut him off.

The decision becomes even more impressive in light of the fact that Benard potentially violated paragraph 2 of the Standard Player Contract by engaging in activities that “may involve a significant risk of personal injury.”

Per Cabot, Browns coach Pat Shurmur said Wednesday that Benard still has a future with the team, even though his contract expires after this season. Benard will surely be more inclined to stick around, given that the Browns have given him a $370,000 gift.

Pretty cheap good will if you ask me.

In both cases, there was no one there to make the catch and the ball/Bernard fell to the turf.

We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.
