That last chance drive for Penn State was horribly depressing. They made Clevelands offense look competant...

How do you beat Wisconsin and Lose to Purdue?

Ok all this PSU coverage is starting to annoy me...

Lou Hotz just said "Joe Paterno" like 37 times in the span of two minues...

Apparently today was THE WORST day to want to watch one of the 330 games...

That's what you get for making me miss my game Cincinnati booyah.

Yeah I only saw half the game but couldn't understand why we're running the wildcat when we have a qb who is just as effective as the rb's running the ball.

Yeah, maybe they were just trying to shake something up because running on first just wasn't working.

They made a nice comeback, but you simply can't make a habit of getting down double digits early.

40-45 mph winds at the Air Force game, with gusts up to 60-70. I want to see someone throw a hail mary and see where the ball ends up.

It's nice to know that I didn't miss most of the UM/ILL first quarter because WVU/Cinn went long...

But because ESPN felt the need to talk about Penn State for half an hour or so after the game...

Terrible offense was terrible as usual. No imagination whatsoever. Run up the middle-run up the middle-deep ball (incomplete), or wildcat-run up the middle-15 yard draw the entire game. They are the WORST offense I think I've ever seen. If the running game isn't going, they are absolutely worthless. Defense missed about 1,283 tackles, and the bubble screen continues to destroy them. They're terrible on misdirection plays as well. Bad game by them.

Braxton and Shazier have heart, this team doesn't.

And that's pretty much the end of WKU tonight...

Andrew Luck threw an Incomplete Pass?!?!?

He must be horrible!

I think his hype is coming full circle...

He got SO hyped, that people are starting to go against him...

And eventually people will be so against him that they start coming around to saying he's good again...

I gotta be honest. Luck looks like he can read defenses, but his decision making and accuracy leaves me wondering if he is really a sure thing like so many say he is.

Overall I am watching the Stanford - Oregon game and have not been that impressed by "Mr. Sure Thing" Luck.

No he isn't really. The offense is exactly the same. The only difference is that Luck has better TEs and Barkley has better WRs.

I've always been with the frame of mind that a QB makes the WR's look better.

Sure a great WR can make a QB look good, but at the end of the day, a QB has to get the WR the ball.

Luck has not impressed me thus far.

I've had this game on for about 15 minutes or so and Stanford's turned the ball over 3 times.

J/C ...

In the OSU game, did anyone else notice that Boom Herron, on at least 2 occasions, ran to contact instead of running to open field? In the 4th quarter yesterday, he took a handoff around left end, broke open, and had a wide open lane down the sideline, when he cut back against the grain where all the pursuit was coming from, and got stoned. I saw another play where a gaping hole was opened on the center-left of the LOS, and he ran to the pile on the right instead, got about a yard. I've been watching Herron and wondering if he might be a later-round pro prospect, but now I think he might lack the field vision to be effective in the NFL. Now that the season's a washout, I'd like to see more of Carlos Hyde. Herron, while good, should not be considered among the greats like Beanie Wells, Eddie George, Archie Griffin, et al. The Buckeyes need to find their next great running back, maybe it could be Mr Hyde.

I didn't know they did. I didn't watch the game.

If they did, it's pretty lame, because you guys suck lol.

Not as lame as Ohio State doing it lol, but still pretty lame.

Just asking...

Did anyone ever put Herron in the category of Griffin and George? He's pretty good as a RB, but I wouldn't even put him in the Wells/Clarett level and they're a BIG drop from the Griffin/George level.

No, I guess not, but he sure has gotten a lot of playing time and carries in his time at OSU, as if he were the heir-apparent to some of those guys. I'm not sure why both Tressel and Fickell thought he was their ace.

I would disagree about Wells being mentioned along with Griffin and George. He may not have been as good and he didn't win a Heisman, but he was a great college RB when healthy.

Maurice Clarett could have been the GOAT in OSU history.

The only flaw in his game was that he would get injured.

the guy could've had it all the records if he played his full years of eligibility. I didn't see archie play, but I would put Clarett slightly ahead of eddie in talent. Beanie is up there also. His running style is so physical, not sure how many years he plays in the league.

Did anybody see the Florida State defender get ejected in the final minutes of the Miami game on the worst call in the history of football? I'm not an FSU apologist but the guy made a picture perfect hit on a WR coming across the middle and not only got flagged but got ejected...

well, i was hoping to see teams like Boise, BYU, Navy, Air Force and Houston say no to the Big East for the pure hilarity of those schools telling them no.

if BYU says yes (and it already looks like Boise is leaning that way), then it could pave the way for the other schools to accept. apparently, divisions are already being bandied about:

Quote:

Here is the projected divisional alignment:

West: Air Force, Boise State, BYU, Central Florida, Houston, SMU

East: Connecticut, Cincinnati, Louisville, Navy, Rutgers, South Florida

Read more: http://voices.idahostatesman.com/2011/11...t#ixzz1dug6fUE1

I think the funny thing (other than UCF getting the shaft as a 'west team') is that the 'new Big East' teams make quite a tougher division than the 'old Big East' teams.

Has anyone else read Clarett's writing for Grantland?

He's not a very good writer, but it's worth a look (can't post it here).

He had elite speed and quickness combined with size and strength that separated him from most running backs. Would have been a monster in a ZBS.

He also made one of the greatest football plays I've ever seen.

In 9 days I may never have to watch a Jim Bollman offense again. Been waiting for this day for many years now.

noone is going to come here until they know what they are stepping in. we need things to get resolved.

Anyone else watching Okla St. vs. Iowa St? Early in the game, Iowa St. looking pretty good. Is this an upset in the making?

We'll see how it goes once Okla St.'s offense gets rolling.
