LOL 7 more points per game than the Cleveland Browns. They have scored 286 points this year. Some might be defense .... don't know, and don't care. What I do know is that they are scoring far more than we can even dream of scoring. We have scored 195 points this year ..... just for comparison sake. I also have NO idea where you get your numbers ..... but you are wrong. Here is a link to the stats. It's all right there in black and white. (and blue) Miami has scored 11 rushing TD, 16 passing TD, and has 1 INT returned for a TD. That is 27 offensive TDs. The Browns have scored 4 rushing TDs, 15 passing TDs, for a total of 19 offensive TDs. Miami has scored 8 more offensive TDs than we have, through 14 games. They have also scored 28 FG to our 21. That would be 7 more, in case you were wondering. They also average 5.2 yards/offensive play to our 4.6 yards/play.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

They have 7 more rushing TD's, but only 1 more passing TD. 10 more XP's and 7 more FG's.
For the record, nobody has fewer Rushing TD's than us, and only KC is tied with us at 4. Our running game has really redefined ineptitude this year... even more than our passing game has.

well, that's not too surprising considering we haven't had Hillis most of the year, Hardesty has gotten injury, we lost Brandon Jackson (our RB3) in the preseason, along with Steinbach, Yates retired, and we have essentially rookie starting OGs.

I don't like Shurmur as HC. I did not like the way Mangini was fired. I did not agree with the whole situation. I have never thought that Holmgren was going to be Cleveland's savior.
With that said, I think Shurmur should have another year with a complete off season, draft and FA period to retool. I would very much like to see an OC who also calls the plays.

I agree with most of what you said here. The 1 thing I think I was hoping was that Holgren would see the total mess and set up and become the HC. Once he got Heckert in place I really wanted that to happen. It was a pipe dream and I realise that now so with that being said I now have to evaluate him on his front office work which TBH has been below avg.
He hired who I feel to be a good GM in Heckert He fired a HC who I thought was building an idenity for the team but didnt follow his line of thinking a year after being here. call that a wash in the grand scheme of things He hired (his 2nd most important decision) Shurmur to be the HC and the OC. Major fail in my book. He Drafted Colt McCoy He says to me your either with us or not? Yeah right Ive been a fan of the Browns from the early 70's as far back as I can remember watching games. Im 47 and call myself a Browns fan for my whole life so MH having been here for 2 years now and bashing a table telling me Im either with them or not was a major slap in the face. Seattle fired him as Gm for a reason and Im seeing it now. He is on the verge of epic fail.
To me Him and Shurmur are tied at the hip just like Savage and Crennell were and we all know how that worked out.
/steps off soap box
If you need 3 years to be a winner you got here 2 years to early. Get it done Browns.

Once again ... if the measuring stick is the Browns ... what exactly are you proving?
Let me say this very clearly and concisely - if you finish in the bottom third of your field in nearly every offensive category, then you are not doing 'good' or 'well'.
Daboll's offense is not doing well. It's - by definition - performing below average. One could say poorly.
He is a bad OC who is more than likely going to be fired in a few weeks.
I cannot, for the life of me, understand why you continue to insist that he's doing well. The only reason I can think of is a love of the Mangini regime.

He definitely isn't doing well, but he IS doing better than what we traded him in for... so far.
We thought we had hit bottom with Mo Carthon & his crayon coloring book playbook. Then the Football Gods laughed and sent us Daboll... and we hit bottom, again. Until, that is, we got Pat Shurmur.

i don't think Daboll is some great OC or anything, but...
the one thing Daboll really has going for him is that once he figured out how to use Reggie, the offense has done much better.
first 7 games they averaged 15.28pts/game last 7 games they averaged 25.6pts/game
--------------
so, they are at least progressing as an offense. perhaps the no offseason hurt them or something else (reggie or matt moore, etc), but they are at least getting better as the season goes on.

Daboll vs. Shumur in an OC comparison is like deciding whether you want poison ivy or the flu.
But it's also worth noting that both guys did better than the other when working with other offenses.
I didn't like Daboll and I don't like Shurmur ... but I really don't know that anyone could get much out of what we have in terms of offense.

I have a feeling that he is going to be another in a long line of "bad" OC who will somehow become pretty good elsewhere.

I doubt he gets another shot after Miami.
Three years of poor performance with two different teams? Doesn't look so great on a resume. I imagine he'll get a position coach gig somewhere.

It's easy to say that, but when has he had talent to work with? A little here and a little in Miami,, I just don't expect a coach to make a silk purse our of a sows ear..
Look what happens when you put a soild bunch of talent around a guy that most on here thought was a waste.....I'm speaking of Bruce Ariens..
Right time and right place and right players,, any coach can look like he's capable. Daboll will eventually get another shot.

Or losing Henne helped them.

I've got too much intelligence to get hired by the Cleveland Browns. Putzburgh wanted me to interview, but I turned them down flat.

I'm all in favor of our OC becoming pretty good elsewhere!
