I want to see LSU/Okla St just because I want to see that great Okla St offense against that ridiculous LSU defense.
As for the Mich. St./Wisconsin game, I really hate that running into the kicker call. It was the correct one, but I just hate the penalty in general, especially when it's so obvious that the punters totally fake it. I play a number of sports, and I just wouldn't do something like that.
That being said, though, the call was correct according to the rules, so I can't complain about that. I just hate that penalty in general.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

That's how you end a great inaugural Big Ten Championship game... On a personal foul. Well done refs!
Well they didn't call the personal foul, only running into the kicker.
Running into the kicker is such a ticky tacky penalty. Dantonio blew it there, as a coach you gotta play it safe and not go after the block in that situation.

I'll tune in for Ok St v LSU. - We finally get to see LSU's defense against a good offense. I'll say the game ends with a 13-10 score, and I have no clue who wins.
For the same reasons, I'd love to see Alabama v Stanford. - We finally get to see Alabama's defense against a good offense.
Wisky v Oregon should be a great game also.
Should be a great bowl season.

This...I want to see Weeden against a NFL caliber D and that'd be a great chance...best D against best O
After watching the 1st half of yesterday's Oklahoma derby I want NO PART of Landry Jones....he reinforced all the negatives I saw in his game....he's a 1 read QB right now and it's not like he takes off or throws it away when that 1st read is covered....he just threw it there anyway...he started off the game like that on his 1st 3 throws....ALWAYS looking at only 1 guy and throwing it there twice in double coverage and once even in 3-4 man coverage on 3rd down....wow, guy is just an arm with little football understanding right now....raw to the bone....he looks to the sideline a lot pre huddle, looks like he's being told what to do in every detail...I have my doubts he can handle and lead an NFL Offense within the next 2 years....he should really stay another year and work on progressions and mastering and handling the Offense on his own
Weeden was and is much better...but he has his problems too. It'd be a joke if Landry gets drafted before Weeden
Let's pray we don't draft Jones...but I can't see Holmgren liking this guy too much

Lets see what some of the bowl game scores are before you start talking the smack.

Landry Jones was very DA-esque last night. Dude has a cannon but could not make any throws outside of right before halftime when OkSt went soft.
Another reason I don't want to see Alabama play in the title game is that their QB is horrible. I don't care that he faces the SEC every week, he freaking sucks.
Yes, I know Jordan Jefferson is also horrible, also faces the SEC every week, but at least the rest of his team is watchable.

Oregon scored 27 points against LSU's D, West Virginia scored 21.
Arkansas and Alabama scored a collective 23.
However, I'll listen to 'Peen here and wait until the games are played before I take this any further.

Going to be a good Rose Bowl game...Badgers and Ducks...
That's a fun match up and might turn out be one of the better games to watch of the bowl games.
I haven't had the time to scroll threw all of the post, but after yesterdays games ... I' am kinda bummed out about the [projected] Championship match up with Bama vs LSU and I would much prefer to see the LSU vs Okie. St match up.
My hats off to Clemson for showing up big (in a big way) in the ACC Conference Championship.
Honey Badger ... Wow! Kids got game. Probably a nickel back at the next level and return "ACE" like Patrick Peterson, although without the upside that he has on the corner.
Of LSU's 4 headed monster @ RB ... I think that I'm impressed with their #4 freshman Hillyard (sp?) the most. It will be fun to follow his next couple of years.
As far as QB play this week with Luck and Barkley being idle ... Robert Griffin III distinguished himself and should have solidified himself a top 10 selection and possibly top 5 ... He throws the best long ball of any of the above mentioned QB prospects.
Murray didn't get any help ("execution; he is in favor of some") and he really took a good old fashion butt whoop'in from the top defense, but Murray and the Bulldawgs have a bright future and better games to come.

That last return where he didn't score on was one of the sickest plays I have seen in a long time.
It was like he was playing in a different dimension in time and space.
His spark released the Cracken from the monster that is LSU and a 35 point run.

Not quite the marquee matchup it was a few years ago ........ but it does have a good storyline ..... which the bowls always like.

Thanks for the info.
That has been speculated for a while, so it isn't a big surprise.
A couple of marquise names who had down years. The Gators will draw and Buck fans travel well, and Florida is a nice 2-3-4 day option at the first of the year. If they hit it right it is golf shirts and shorts. At it's normal worst it is maybe a light windbreaker and jeans.

The more I think about it, the more I am on board with everyone else. This isn't right.
1. Alabama did not play for a conference title
2. Alabama lost to LSU on their home field earlier in the year in a much-hyped game.
3. Oklahoma State went 5-0 against BCS ranked teams, with their only loss in OT on a Friday night game in which they were told just hours beforehand that some other coaches at their school had died in a plane crash.
4. Oklahoma State smashed Oklahoma on national tv in front of the entire country, that statement alone should have swayed voters.
5. Alabama has really only a win over a mediocre Penn State and Arkansas
So what happens if Alabama wins 6-3 on neutral territory? And don't give me that this is a home game for LSU, Alabama will have plenty of fans in that building, on top of the fact that it's most certainly not going to be Death Valley.
Oklahoma State got robbed.

Michigan vs. Va Tech in the Sugar Bowl... ...I wanted Michigan/Boise St... Kirk Herbstreet hates that "traveling well" is more of a consideration than how good a team is... ...I agree.

Boise State got robbed. There's no reason to have Virginia Tech playing in the Sugar Bowl over Boise State. I understand why Michigan is playing, I don't agree, but I understand. Kansas State should being playing in a BCS game not Michigan.

I really hope BSU can get a new QB aftyer this year, I don't want to see them fall off...
I Really hope they have the worst ratings for a NC game in a long time, I assume some people will tune in just to see what's up (I probably will) at certain points in the game. But I think they lost alot of viewers.
It doesn't make sense...
By argument, To become National Champion, LSU has to beat Alabama...
...Well seeing as LSU has already beaten Alabama... They've already fullfilled that obligation, making this game pointless...
All ESPN keeps saying is "These are the best two teams"
LSU is clearly the #1 team. But I havne't seen anything that proves Alabama is worse...
What if OSU was undefeated going into Bedlam, and lost close to Oklahoma? Would that be a BETTER LOSS?
Stupid.

The Rockets will be traveling to D.C. to face Air Force in the Military Bowl on December 28th. Should be an interesting and entertaining game. There's also a decent possibility that I'll be making the trip to RFK to watch the team take on The Falcons.

So who was it that was saying UM wouldn't get a BCS game? Va Tech was a bit of a surprise though. Their schedule was absolutely awful. They got waxed twice by the only good team they played all year (Clemson) and have ZERO wins against the top 25. I don't get it. Michigan certainly got a good matchup though, as I think Virginia Tech is easily the most overrated team in the top 15. Their defensive front is especially average. Clemson ran all over them in two matchups and they have the #45 ranked rushing offense. Michigan comes it at #16. Props to the B1G conference. Set a new record with 10 bowl teams.

I said they didn't deserve one, and they most certainly don't. MSU beat them straight up. It's just as crooked as Alabama making the title game!

They don't "deserve" one? Based on what? Because they lost to MSU in week 6?
A 10 win Michigan team, after a resurgence under a new coach, was obviously very attractive. Whether they "deserve" it is purely an opinion. The BCS rules are get in the top 14 and you're eligible. Michigan did that and they got picked.
Michigan State had a chance to win a B1G Title AND a BCS bowl bid. They lost. It is what it is. The B1G was going to get two teams. MSU wasn't even eligible based on their BCS ranking so the MSU vs. UM thing is moot.
If MSU had been in the top 14 and not gone, then I'd certainly agree that MSU got a raw deal. But they didn't, so I'm not sure why it's even a topic. They controlled their own destiny and didn't get it done.
