He is a terrible passer and decision maker, but a great athlete and nice enough guy. This makes him... a fullback? A wildcat QB?

Fact of the matter is Tebow is getting all the credit for Denver's wins and no blame for their losses. When really John Fox and the defense deserve most of it.

Welcome to the "new" board.

Yeah, it looks like the old one...on purpose, because that "new" board is a POS.

You're a little late in saying what you'd said, as that sentiment has been noted several hundred times here. Still, all the winning didn't quiet the talk that he was getting too much credit for what the running game, schedule, and defense did for the team in terms of wins.

I'd thrown around the term "perfect storm" to describe why Tebow was winning, and it appears that said perfect storm has blown through.

I'll again say that he's doing better as a second year player than I thought he could do. I've said since his Senior year that his ceiling was that of a backup QB, but he's done better than that in a short sample. However, the circumstances which enabled him to "earn" all the praise and credit are gone, and his weaknesses were exposed.

I'm not gonna trash Tebow. I am gonna restate that if the Donks think they are going to the promised land with him at the helm. they are buying into fools gold.

It's gonna be REEEAAAAAAL interesting if the Chiefs with Orton under center beats them (notice how I didn't say if Orton beats them. ).

I'd hate to be a fan of the team that states Tebow is going to be the long-term starter...

I expect this thread to go 8 pages if Denver wins though

Well they stepped up

Unfortunately Tebow is one of the worst passers of the football I've ever seen in my entire life.

6 completions and an INT rarely wins a game.

or run lately. 7 fumbles in 4 games is pretty bad too.

we are all Tebow fans next week though. he has to find a way to beat Pitt (don't see it happening, but crazier things have happened)

Wouldn't it be great if Denver could upset them though?

Well .... until he doesn't.

When he wasn't making mistakes, they could win with him. When he started turning the ball over ..... then neither he, nor the team, were good enough to overcome his mistakes.

It is kinda weird that Orton might have gotten another chance after the past few weeks if the Broncos hadn't given in to his wishes and released him. His problem early in the year was mistakes and turnovers ....... and when Tebow started making mistakes and turnovers ...... he might have been called upon, except that he was gone. Then he almost knocks them out of the playoffs ... but doesn't ...... and he could have collected a playoff check if he had stayed .......

Weird little world turning inside the NFL sometimes.

What I'm about to say has nothing to do with Tebow, and everything to do with the media. Unfortunately for Tebow, he's the lightning rod...

Where are all those talking heads who said everyone else was wrong about Tebow? I sure as Hell am not hearing anything from Skip Bayless right now.

All the media LOVED Tebow...and now it's crickets. The dude bombed and people jumped so fast from that bandwagon that it's rolling down the road without a driver or anyone else on it.

Now that I've spouted off against the media (who I have long standing beef with, hehe) I would like to invite people to re-visit the topic of whether or not the college spread can make it in the NFL. And of course I'm still curious how people feel about whether or not Tebow can be a starter. I sure as Hell haven't changed my stance on this issue. To me, dude just doesn't have an NFL arm. Not in release, not in accuracy, not in spinning it...nothing.

I happen to think that he's so polarizing because of his charisma and his faith that he's potentially toxic to any organization. If you don't have a pro-bowl QB in front of him, there's always going to be that little buzzing in the ear of the team about Tebow, and that's bad for business.

Best thing for the Broncos the team would be to dump him after the season. Too bad for the organization that's now an impossibility.

I still think the college spread can work (if altered) in the NFL. NE implements much of the college spread passing tree for instance.

now, the spread-option, that can work but needs to be a bit tampered down. before this seasonn, I would have been more hesitant, but a team showed that it can be quite successfully integrated into a NFL system. of course, that team was the Carolina Panthers with Cam Newton.

I haven't thought Tebow can be a successful NFL QB because of his deficiencies, but that doesn't mean the system is at fault. The great thing that a guy like Cam (or Tebow if he can re-program his throw) is that on 3rd and short or 4th and short (or goal) it is almost a guaranteed success. And, there are so many more options for how you do things. More options and more responsibilities for the defense can spread them out and make an offense better.

But, there are only so many guys that can withstand the punishment (Cam and Tebow are pretty special athletes).

I was just wondering what would happen if Tebow were on the market. I think this kid would be great in the Cleveland market.

I have a few reason why.

1. He's a gamer.
2. He's a baller.
3. He's a play maker
4. He's a shot caller

I honestly think this kid could change Cleveland with Blackmon and Bowe.

Oh brother...

Yeah...Let's bring in a QB that can't hit even 50% of his throws...To replace one who can't hit even 55%...

Brilliant...

So was Anderson.

I wonder how he better fits the Cleveland Market than any other.

I previously said, "I don't know but if he were the draft pick of the Browns it would be a positive, and he could be syccessful"

Now I feel he would be a worse pick up than then.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Tim Tebow? Really? First of all, he's NOT available, and if you were going to go into a ridiculous hypothetic at least you could have said Brady or someone at the top level of his position.

I wish I could remember who it was who had the sig: "Some people post just to hear themselves type", but it immediately came to mind when I read this post.

greg...NO...

Pull yourself back to reality and stop the dreaming, fantasizing, hoping, wishing...Tebow is not a Brown, won't be a Brown and won't lead the Browns anywhere....got it?

Tebow has yet to prove himself as the Broncos QB...he is a "project QB"...nothing more.

No. He has been made into much that he is not. All the respect in this world and part of that to come for TBo the man, but not for this team. Every pass is a "Hail, Mary" affair. We deserve and need better. Already proven we don't have enough horses to carry a marginal QB and play calling IMO.

Tebow is not a QB. He's a RB that throws the ball. I do see him as becoming the new prototype of QBs that teams will look for, if he had accuracy and could throw a ball without wobble.

Yes, he's a leader. Yes, he's a fine athelete. Yes, he does have the capability of bringing a team back in the 4th. But, if you look at the games he's played in, he's one of the main reasons the team has to make a comeback at the end of the game.

No.

You can't plan or depend on improbable miracles to sustain you through the season.

Between RAC and Belichick shutting him down the whole copy cat league knows how to defend him. Unless Elway can impart some QB'ing wisdom into him I see his days are numbered. Like I said, you can't count on improbable miracles.

I have a question for you that is much like the one you are asking: If your aunt had balls would she be your uncle?

I laugh in your general direction.

Give it 12 months....he WILL be available. His skill set isn't wide enough. Once enough film is out there on how to stop him, he'll be Derek Anderson (1 trick pony that can't do anything). Of course, there's always the possibility that he can learn to pass better.......but something tells me he would have already done that the past two seasons.

Blackmon and Bowe would change Cleveland with McCoy as much, if not more, than they would with Tebow.

I have to laugh a little. 2 years ago, it was, Tebow will not be drafted in the 1st, in fact, it was said he'd be drafted no higher than the 3rd by some folks.

Then it was, well, he got drafted but that's because the Broncos are fools.

Then he got into a couple of games and didn't stink it up but wasn't a world beater either

Then he gets put into the game mid season and takes them on a nice streak of wins.

Then he gets in the playoffs, played injured and the D didn't hold up so the Broncos got beat bad..

Now, it's, he'll be available in 12 months..

I wonder if this kid will prove that to be folly also.

Tell ya what, I just don't want to count this kid out. something about him makes me wanna support and defend him. and I'm sure I'll get beat on for feeling that way.

So, to the question, if he were available, would I want him here?

I honestly don't think so. and the reason is pretty simple, so far, he's not shown to be accurate and if we are to continue with the WCO in one form or the other, that doesn't sound like a recipe for success for him.

But to count this kid out,, whew,, Not sure I'd ever go there.

I haven't said anything in this thread is quite a while, and made no comments on this new one that was merged.

Actually that last one by candy was good for a chuckle. Especially when he threw in Skip Bayless (who btw wants to have Tim's baby).
