Hope everyone had a nice Christmas.

Glad mine's almost over. In-laws here until tomorrow. I love them dearly, but only in small doses.

Gifts that stand out for me: CASH! Because the actual "gifts" were not things I would EVER pick for myself. A big, bulky sweater, in blue - I DON'T wear blue, it looks bad on me. Ugly slippers - I don't wear slippers anyway. Cheap jewelry - I love jewelry and I'll even buy cheap. But the cheap I buy looks like it costs a lot more than it did. This was just cheap & cheap looking. Though, the silver chain has promise...even if I don't wear silver.

The best gift I got was watching my munchkin open her gifts. It was MAGIC watching her. Especially when she opened the one and only gift she asked for - Rock Star Mickey. PRICELESS!!!

In laws are like fish in the refrigerator: they are fine for a day or two, but after that it starts to stink.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Agreed! And now mine, instead of moving up here like they should, are talking about visiting us for one week each month after April. Holy CRAP! NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! I said as much to my husband and said that if they're going to come up that often, they have to get they're own place to stay. I still have to work, the munchkin will still have to go to school, and I can't have them under foot when I work at home. And, as my f-i-l is nearly deaf as a post, at the very least, the tv will be so loud I can't work.

Like I said, I love 'em, just in small doses. I think 'peen has an apt analogy.
