I'm sorry,what where you asking about again?

bcbrownie...I asked the question after reading your comment...

"You guys need to get out more.
The media here is nothing compared to that in the big cities.Besides,after this long line of crappy coaches,players and FO types,maybe the experts in the media,or any where for that matter,could have done a better job."

bcbrownie, those who believe that the media are better at running the Browns than Holmgren, need to stop listening to the media dudes who talk like they know it all.

Most of the media talkingheads will tell Browns fans, they know how to build the Browns into a winners...but I wonder how many listeners know anything about the qualifications of the people they "follow"?

You say you don't listen to KNR...good...because the two dudes I spoke about above...I looked up who they are and what their qualifications were...

Here is what I found...

T.J. Zuppe, 27 yrs old...no record of playing college football at Mount Union.
Education
.....Mount Union College ...2002 – 2007
.....Ohio Center For Broadcasting ...2007 – 2008
Employment...ESPN 850 WKNR and 1540 KNR2
......January 2008 – Present (4 years)
......Reporter / Producer of "Munch In the Morning"
......On-Air Host / Reporter

Matt Fontana, 22, graduated Brunswick HS in 2007.
Education
......Baldwin Wallace, 2007 to 2011
......Did play football at BW
........2007...Matt Fontana Fr. TE 6-2 205 Brunswick
........2008...Matt Fontana So. TE 6-2 210 Brunswick
........2009...not on roster
........2010...not on roster
Employment...ESPN 850 WKNR and 1540 KNR2...approx 1yr

This is an example of the "qualifications" of the WKNR talking heads, who know it all and have no problem telling the thousands of listeners, they know how to run the Browns better than Holmgren.

KNR also screens their callers, so if someone disagrees with the opinions of their shock jocks, it is doubtful listeners will ever hear those opinions.

Even Bruce Drennan on his STO TV program, says some outlandish things concerning the Browns and how he would do things if he were running the franchise. 99% of the time, his comments go unchallenged by the listeners.

The newspapers in Cleveland are a bit more responsible than the radio/tv media but at times, when the Browns are losing and the writers become unhappy, they can write some questionable stories.

I sure don't blame Shurmur and Holmgren for giving short, blunt answers to the media that savages them with print or spoken word, then expects the Browns front office and coaches to be nice and respectful of the media.

The Cleveland media needs to understand, they are responsible for the words they write or speak. If they are going to be disrespectful to Holmgren, Heckert and Shurmur, the media should expect to be treated any different than they treat the Browns front office, coaches and players.

Who cares?

Really.

Don't listen if you don't like them.

The team has brought a lot of stuff on themselves by the way they handles situations this year. Of course the media chased a story that seemed to be there. That's their job. Big deal who the reporters are. Everyone started out somewhere, and as far as I know there is no minimum job requirement to be a radio sports jock.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

So this is a "shoot the messenger thread" because You don't like the message.
Humbug.
You are either For us or against us.....{how DARE you CRITICIZE}
"don't come to me for PLAYOFF tickets{ a real laugher}

The JOB of the press, unless you are Pravda or Fox news is to attempt to honestly assess what you see. Now with talk Radio things can degenerate quickly into personal invective{like on this board where the PERSON and not his views are challenged}

There was a day when the papers were stronger and there was MORE autonomy of the press. Guys like Pete Franklin tore the browns a new one one when they performed badly. This coach and front office SHOULD BE TOUCHY. Reality has deemed they have EARNED all the cabbages thrown their way.

Think about it.
1) Hiring Shurmer praise or a cabbage( Cabbage)
2)decision to let some solid coaches go, especially the special teams coach{cabbage)
3) decision to stand pat in free agency letting razor thin talent at oline, wr, OLB, secondary stand pat{cabbage)
4) wasting a choice at FB ,letting a solid blocking FB walk and replacing him with a mediocre version{cabbage}
5) watching weekly as the HC makes mind numbing stupid play calling and decides not ot hire an OC and stubbornly refuses to make game day adjustments{cabbages, many many cabbages}
6)watching the team play sloppy every week and seeing absolutely NO offensive progression as the season wore on{ many many cabbages
7) putting your concussed QB back in a game , saying he was "properly evaluated, days later hearing Holmgren say no one on the staff knew or even Checked mcCoy, avoid the QBs angry father{ many cabbages}
8)watch in disbelief as the team blows a score at the half vs the ravens and listen as the HC PRETENDS to take responsibility while throwing Wallace under the bus( well he crawled under it himself) another multi Cabbage moment.

Blame the press.
want to get better press. try making smarter decisions.
want to pretend reality with a press conference version of the Kings new Clothes and you deserve every snicker you hear.
want to turn those snickers to gaffaws
tell the press you will hold back playoff tickets from the worst team in the NFL.
