Thats what I think alot of us know to be true. You can find a good/elite QB where every your slotted when they come along and normally the next best thing is fools gold and trading up for that fools gold will kill you. We will be picking top 10 next year count on it. There will be more QBs coming out. Hasselbeck(sp?) was drafted !st round #1? Farve was first round #1 etc People have posted it very few first round #1 picks at QB have done anything more then all the other QBs drafted after them in the first round.
At number 4 we will have a choice between Luck or RG3 or who ever we feel helps the team. At 24 we will get a Phil Taylor type player. At 36 we will get a greg little type player. Next year we will have another joe haden type player and another top 50 player. Or we could have none of the above and RG3(which we may get anyway by standing pat) or Luck.
If you need 3 years to be a winner you got here 2 years to early. Get it done Browns.

i did it last year. you can search for it. it was current starting QBs, but the same gist. i might go and look at this one too but i'll have to have quite a bit of free time at some point to do it.
and you obviously don't understand ratios and statistics if you think there being a ton more QBs drafted in rounds 2 - UDFA make them to have better odds of being successful.

Which of course proves drafting 1st round QBs is dumb... We should trade for every 6th round pick and draft every QB available...
...Then after the draft, we'll stop at Aldi's, and grab a few Cashiers, and maybe a Stockboy to be safe...
Then we'll have our Super Bowl winning QB...
Nobody that I know of ever said it was dumb to draft a 1st round QB
But what I'm saying is, the risk of trading a bunch of picks to move up to grab one is very high.
It's not drafting a QB high that bothers me. all you are expending is your pick..that's it. But if you have to use the two 1st round pick we have this year and maybe a 1 or more from next, that just seems way to risky. You can put your team way behind..
On top of that, even if we go up to get Luck (for instance) and we have to use our two 1sts this year and our 1st from next year (and probably something else) and he works out.. how we gonna get guys around him without a 1st round pick for 2 years?
