I am sure he meant it....but it seems it was more a matter of fact comment then a whiney comment.

I think it's kinda obvious that the whole thing is a case of tabloid journalism. Things were said in one context, then presented in another to create a sensation.

That's exactly what happened. The author was on Rome yesterday and admitted that although Quinn made the statements, he was very complimentary of Tebow and gave him the deserved credit for Denver's success this year.
