I thought I heard on local sports radio, here in Jersey, that the Jets might be interested in bringing Edwards back at some point.
Ha,, now that I think about it, I remember hearing that as well. Thanks

Agreed. I'd always advocated Richardson because while I viewed it as a possibility, I never once believed Hillis was coming back. He's the safest guy in this draft not named Tannehill. RB's are no longer over-valued in the league because of how easy it is to find one and the devaluation of the position, but if we have no other options, the combination of our need and his ability are a perfect match.
And for Mourg, we still have ammunition with the #22 pick to go get Tannehill (though I think he shouldn't go in the 1st.)
If you think he is the safest why wouldn't you take him in the first?

Why do you hate Mourg? You must if you want me to talk about my opinion of Tannehill.
He has all the tools and has the added dimension of being able to run amazing well for guy his size, but he's woefully lacking in experience, has shoddy mechanics, and didn't produce great numbers in an offense that should produce eye-popping numbers.
I'm not gonna dive into all the things wrong, because that would be done in order to show why I don't feel he's a 1st rounder. I feel he's a 2nd rounder, and to be honest, if you're a 2nd rounder QB prospect, you have some real talent. The bagging would give the impression that I hate the kid as a prospect, and that simply isn't true. So the short answer is that I think he's a big reach as a 1st round guy, and that he's best served spending a couple of years on the bench. Those kinds of players aren't 1st rounders, but Tannehill IS going to go in the 1st round. He's the guy that a team reaches for because the best prospects are already gone so the team gets sweaty and desperate. I don't wanna be the team that gets sweaty and desperate. That makes me unhappy. When I'm unhappy, I wanna go to happy hour. When I'm at happy hour, I don't wanna make the mistake of going to a Turkish bath house, meet Charlie Sheen, and re-enact scenes from Platoon. Please don't make me meet Charlie Sheen.

Per roto:
In addition to the Patriots and Jets, free agent SS LaRon Landry is scheduled to visit the Lions and a fourth "mystery" team.
FWIW, we were the "mystery" team with Rucker

Landry is all hit and no cover. We'd be completely backwards, in that our SS would bigger than our starting MLB, and our starting MLB would be a better cover guy than our SS.
Besides the fact I think he'd be a very poor fit here, I can't see H&H going after a guy like him.

We'd be pretty much just waiting for his body to shatter like porcelain in the steroid commercial. Lumbering HGH in the secondary isn't exactly what we should be looking for.

Tolbert is overrated. He's never carried a full load, he's fat, and he has a very physical style. I think he will wear down quickly if someone signs him and gives him 25+ carries a game.

Crennel apparently is interested in another one of his former first-round picks in Cleveland.
Quarterback Brady Quinn will visit the Chiefs, according to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com.
Crennel and the Browns drafted Quinn after trading back into round one five years ago. Quinn later was traded to the Broncos, and he has played only sporadically during his NFL career.
In Kansas City, Quinn would likely compete with Ricky Stanzi for the second position on the depth chart behind Matt Cassel.

I know that Quinn will know Daboll's system and how Romeo operates as a head coach. I guess that could make a pretty good backup.

Hell yeah he'd be a pretty good backup. He's had four seasons worth of practice holding that clipboard...

The ham sandwich now has some cheese... Chiefs sign Brady Quinn Posted by Michael David Smith on March 17, 2012, 7:22 PM EDT AP Brady Quinn is going to Kansas City. The Chiefs announced the signing of Quinn, a free agent quarterback who spent the last two seasons with the Broncos. In Kansas City he’ll back up Matt Cassel. Quinn entered the NFL as a first-round draft pick of the Browns in 2007, when Romeo Crennel was Cleveland’s head coach. This move reunites Quinn and Crennel, who’s now the head coach of the Chiefs. Although some analysts thought Quinn was poised for NFL stardom when he was at Notre Dame, things have not panned out for him professionally. In three years in Cleveland he started just 12 games and never distinguished himself, and in two years in Denver he never even got on the field for a regular-season game. The 27-year-old Quinn has a career stat line of 184-for-353 for 1,902 yards, with 10 touchdowns, nine interceptions and a passer rating of 66.8. web page

Scott Pioli was once thought of as the genius behind the Patriots. Now he has rebuilt the browns in Kansas City. He sure shot that genius theory all to hell.

I think that Daboll gets a bad rap. His offense designs and play calls are fine. (Cue the one poster I know will log in and immediately come running saying how "awful" he is)
Maybe Romeo has learned how to manage the big picture. Who knows? That was really his downfall here ..... not being able to handle the bigger picture. He was also victim to DA not really being the guy they thought he was, and Quinn flopping. Then add in having to start Dorsey, and Gradkowski ...... and who is going to win with those guys?

Well...Romeo's teams never seemed prepared at the start of games...as if they thought the game started at 2:00 instead of 1:00
KC should keep their clocks on EDT in hopes they can reverse the trend

Hate on Tebow all you want,, plenty of reasons if you want to. But, bottom line, they win with him on the field..
Now, having said that, if they thought he was all that and a bag of chips,, they wouldn't have looked at Manning.... so,, its FWIW kinda thing
