Givens is long gone, 3rd round to the Broncos

Meanwhile, CBs Bolden and Judie got picked...I will post another update when it's around 10 picks left for my back to back comp picks (#204+#205)...also have the early 7th at #211 since the uptrade for Bequette was voided

Sleeper tag on RB C.Gray: http://www.mockingthedraft.com/2012/4/16...m-running-backs

Cyrus Gray, Texas A&M

Cyrus Gray is another running back that is not going to stand out in terms of pure athleticism. However, throughout his career, Gray was a consistent and reliable running back. He always seems to fall forward, and his vision allows him to be a quality option between the tackles. Again, any running back who is going to make a smooth transition to the NFL needs to be able to pass block, and Gray can. He also has solid hands out of the backfield, which could make him a third down back as a rookie.

Interesting. I looked back a couple rounds but didn't go that far. I like Givens but never expected him to go in the 3rd.

I gotta say, I would love to come out of this draft with a pair of RB, and Gray would definitely be one I would target. The more I have read about him the more perfect he seems for the WCO.

The HuddleReport compares him to Fred Jackson, as in...AVG to good at everything, not great at anything but no real weaknesses either

Meanwhile WR D.Jones, RB Poole, CB Prater and small school hype WR/TE Derek Carrier were picked...19 picks left

My Favs right now: DT DaJ. Harris (boom or bust though), DT Daniels, G/C Saulsberry, CB Harris, CB Steed, CB Sensabaugh, CB Fletcher, CB Pellerin, CB Tandy, WR Posey, WR Page, WR K.Martin, T/G Adcock, G/T Miller, OLB Trevathan

Foles is dropping like a rock btw...

the huddlereport sounds about right. the one negative I noticed with him at A&M is that it's pretty easy to tackle him. he does tend to fall forward, but he does so usually with first contact.

i wouldn't mind him with one of our late compensatory picks.

Foles dropping in our draft here, too. We're in the sixth round and he hasn't been taken.

I like Posey and Sensabaugh on your list the best. Martin would make sense since they already had him in for a visit.

I have to admit that I liked what I saw of Foles in the season. I would have him slightly above Osweisler in terms of "now" talent but a little behind him as far as "ceiling"

But, he's an accurate guy with a good arm who isn't afraid to stay in the pocket. Not sure why he's below some of these other guys.

I only watched him one game, but i saw the opposite. i thought he was an able scrambler but left the poscket while Osweiler was able to stay in it by moving up to avoid the rush. I also thought Foles accuracy was only decent... but he was without his best receiver and playing a superior OK St team.

Hmm, interested to know which Osweiler games you watched. I thought AZ-State put in a bunch of roll-outs because early in the year he looked like he was on a delay rollout most of the time - not staying in the pocket (the Mizzou game where he captured my attention).

on Foles, the games I remember are the USC and AZ-State games. the main problem I have trying to evaluate him is that AZ ran a "frame" spread offense. that is, the WRs ran to spots and stopped most of the time to create a frame for the QB. Foles job was to throw the ball to be there when they turned around, but that is very different than hitting them on a stride.

Az. St. v. Oregon from this year.

Gerell Robinson is terrible. I think he dropped three passes that hit him in the chest that game. i think i pasted my rundown of that game in my thread I made a couple months ago about rewatching some games from this season focusing on specific prospects.

Pick # 175 Vikings (from Browns) - Brett Roy, DT, Nevada
Pick # 176 Jaguars - Aaron Henry, FS, Wisconsin
Pick # 177 Cardinals (from Redskins) - Taylor Thompson, TE, SMU
Pick # 178 Bills - Coryell Judie, CB, Texas A&M
Pick # 179 Saints (from Dolphins) - Christian Thompson, S, uSC
Pick # 180 Panthers - Omar Bolden, CB, Az State
Pick # 181 Seahawks - Dwight Jones, WR, UNC
Pick # 182 Chiefs - Tauren Poole, RB, Tennessee
Pick # 183 Chargers - Derek Carrier, TE/WR, Beloit
Pick # 184 Bears - Shaun Prater, CB, Iowa
Pick # 185 Cardinals - Ryan Steed, CB, Furman
Pick # 186 Cowboys - Adrien Robinson, TE, Cincinnati
Pick # 187 Jets (from Eagles via Colts) - Dale Moss, WR, South Dakota State
Pick # 188 Broncos (from Jets) - Garth Gerhart, C, Az State
Pick # 189 Raiders - Janzen Jackson, S, McNeese State
Pick # 190 Titans - Sean Richardson, S, Vanderbilt
Pick # 191 Bengals - Olivier Vernon, DE, Miami
Pick # Lions ### forfeit ###
Pick # 192 Falcons - James Hanna, TE, Oklahoma
Pick # 193 Steelers - Levy Adcock, OT, OK State
Pick # 194 Eagles (from Broncos) - Kelcie McCray, S, Arkansas State
Pick # 195 Texans - Adrian Hamilton, OLB, Prairie View A&M

8 picks left, my picks will be up sometime today

How would you rank: G/T Miller, C/G Saulsberry, OT Compton, WR Posey, WR Page, WR Fuller, WR K.Martin, WR J.White, WR Maze, DT DaJ. Harris, DT Daniels, CB Harris, CB Sensabaugh, CB Fletcher, CB Pellerin, CB Tandy, OLB Trevathan

I want 3 of those with picks 204, 205 and 211

Did I forget anyone? Other high ranked guys (cbs/draftscout):

148 TE Deangelo Peterson
157 QB B.J. Coleman
162 TE Rhett Ellison
171 FB/TE Evan Rodriguez
177 RB Dan Herron
178 DT Tydreke Powell
181 DE Jacquies Smith
183 TE Chase Ford
187 QB Nick Foles
189 OG Rishaw Johnson

I like Rodriguez and Herron out of that group but just don't see any roster space for them....we currently have "virtually" 7 OL (Thomas, Pinky, Mack, Lauvao, Cousins, Greco + Martin from my mock), so another OL is needed.....I don't see any OL that could play C if Mack was unavailable? That would push up Saulsberry...I like both DTs this late....Harris is your classic boom or bust underachiever from a big school, Daniels an undersized overchiever 1 gap disruptor...Harris has more upside

Raving review for Mike Harris, the FSU CB...Ashley Ambrose comp

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1244521/mike-harris

As for WR...I'd like to get one with RET ability, so Martin, Maze, White and Page have a leg up

WR Posey
CB Sensabaugh
WR Maze

No love for CB Harris? Seems to be a better tackler than Sensabaugh...I like both and Tandy for inside play...I might punt them all since I already have Claiborne and we have Skrine/Patterson to play inside, so drafting a no5 CB is luxury...even in the late 6th...otoh all it take is 1 injury from your top 4 CBs and your no5 is active and on the field on gamedays...

OT Compton is already picked btw...my bad...WR Maze and DT DaJ Harris gone too now...

Only game where I watched him (v. clemson) he was beat up and down the field:

1ST QUARTER:
- #1 burned deep on skinny post
2ND QUARTER:
- #1 burned by Clemson #1 on 9-route
- #1 beat on deep comeback, bad effort

Actually, Lauvoa played some Center in TC as a rookie, and IIRC, Greco can also play Center.

I believe that Greco has played almost every position on the line while in college. He was mostly a RT then LT late in his college career. He's from Youngstown, so he should get a shot somewhere ....... and he just might get a shot at that RT spot. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.

I appreciate your, and everybody else's, input...I double check stuff because of it and I have Sensabaugh higher now because of you and reading up on him...but I also like a couple of other CBs, so I will wait it out for CB (inot even sure if I pick any as there are still other "roster openings" like OL, WR, DE) and finally address the Front 7...I will pick OLB Trevathan and DT Daniels

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2012/profiles/danny-trevathan?id=2532961

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1692684/mike-daniels

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2012/profiles/mike-daniels?id=2532826

We are beyond 200 and I still don't go BPA...but I don't like any other OLB and DT after those 2, so..

Hate away

I can't argue with those picks. I would personally have taken an OLB earlier but at this point both those guys seem worth a shot. Daniels, 3 sacks against Purdue and 2 sacks against Oklahoma is nice from the DT position.

Both have a good shot at going undrafted but I like those overachieving Ewok types (as long as they don't start at QB for us and get overdrafted )....not sure if Trevathan is more than a reserve/ST or better than Maiava but I don't like to invest 1 of our Top 3 round picks on OLB as most there have significant shortcomings, I hope he is the next Wesley Woodyard (another undersized, productive Kentucky LB, he went undrafted too)....there just isn't that "complete" OLB and philosophically speaking I dont think OLBs in a 4-3 are all that important...good tackler, occasional blitzing ability and ok in short coverage does the trick for me...Heckert seems to agree as he hasn't picked a LB yet and Philly never selected them high

Anyway, if L.David or Wagner somehow should fall to 69 I would think hard about it...the mid round guys were "meh" for the most part...like Demario Davis, but he was gone before I could seriously think about it

For the weakside I like:
David, Wagner, Zach Brown in the 2nd (or 3rd of course if one were to fall somehow)
Mychal Kendricks in the 3rd
Demario Davis in the 4th
Travis Lewis in the late 5th

On the strongside I like:
Kyle Wilbur or Nigel Bradham in the 4th
Audie Cole in the 5th
Tank Carder in the 6th

Forgot Lewis, like him too...not sure why he's dropping on all those boards, but must be character/medical because his tape is Top 60-100 worthy...he went 96th in our mock, so he fell in that big void of picks between Sanu and Gray

Lamar Holmes... I was watching the C-USA championship and the announcers were saying he was a guy who'd "be playing on sundays" but I just didn't see it. Didn't move around well at all.

Picked WR/RET K.Martin with my 1st 7th...feel like I could regret having passed on Page to do so...after doing more in depth research on Posey I remembered why I didn't like him to begin with.....big school underachievers just don't make it in this league...his upside is Massaquoi imho

Right after my selection my G/C sleeper Gino Gradkowski (the QB's little brother) has been selected, so that leaves Saulsberry as last C/G option left...maybe LSU's Blackwell....looking to add 1xOL, CB or DE with my last 2 picks

7th round

Pick # 208 Colts - Nick Jean-Baptiste, DT, Baylor
Pick # 209 Rams - Nick Schwieger, RB, Dartmouth
Pick # 210 Vikings - Brandon Lindsey, OLB, Pitt
Pick # 211 Browns - Keshawn Martin, WR, Michigan State
Pick # 212 Bucs - Gino Gradkowski, OG/C, Delaware

so with that list I bet you're hoping for Saulsberry and Alexander, right?

What about Lennon Creer or Antwon Bailey? Bailey was the only guy that looked draftable to me in the NFLPA game. That includes that scrub OG Brandyn Washington.

Saulsberry, Tandy, Frederick, Sensabaugh, Alexander, Law and Fugger are my favs for the last picks....I just want to hear "Fugger sacks BigBen" once from an announcer, lol...also works with Law....really like Alexander but his heart condition could keep him out of the league and out of the top 6 rounds for sure, if not the entire draft

not sure there's any more room for a RB on the roster and I think they will both make it to the UDFA pool....the hardcores among us do around 20+ rounds of UDFAs too btw and I'm 1 of them

My last 2 picks were CB Tandy and DE Alexander...Saulsberry was picked by the 49ers (again stealing 1 of my targets, did it 3 times in this mock: Bequette, DaJ Harris and Saulsberry)....only 2 picks left and DEs Law and Fugger were picked after me....looks like Posey, Sensabaugh and Fletcher go undrafted in this mock along with a boatload of WR

Will post entire mock when it's over...see my sig for the entire Browns mock, pretty happy overall
