Yes we have 13 picks, but not all 13 picks are created equal... I should have clarified, if we give up anything from the 4th round or above... then I'll be really upset.
I still don't see the need to trade up even if it costs us a 5th round pick, which it would cost more than that because if we trade up at all it's because we fear we are in a competition, and we aren't going to win a "move up" competition with one 5th round pick.

i think for this too hapen, the browns would have to select Kalil- and then deal him. I'm not sure the rams would buy into us taking him, and they might be content to have blackmon or claiborne fall to them.
Would the browns drop to #10???? The bills want the left tackle as well.
The talk around MN today is the swap between Tampa and the Vikes... its got alot of people talking for what its worth.

Trade #4 for #10, #41 and a late round pick.
If the Minnesota/Tampa Bay trade happens, Buffalo might do this to move up ahead of Minnesota for Kalil.

floyd could definitely go to JAX, MIA, or CAR in that scenario... too risky if you want one of the top 2 WRs. If you're OK with Dre Kirkpatrick or Cordy Glenn first, then you can do it, but I wouldn't count on Floyd being there.

I don't know who we would take at ten (Gilmore, Floyd, Kuechly) but if the guy we really want is gone we should trade down and get the extra second round pick. Especially if the plan is to trade back into the first and get Weeden.

We all know that Michael Jordan can pick em!
Honestly I kind of agree with him. I think he has elite moves but does not have elite speed.
I worry about taking a RB this high that I'm not sure can go the distance with regularity.
Btw...would you rather have SJAX and Blackmon or just Richardson?

It's amazing how unlikeable Brown has made himself. Every time he's opens his mouth, I want to beat my head in to the wall (and I'm a Browns fan). I can't imagine how little every other fan base cares about him as well. Richardson is ordinary? Whatever you say Mr. Brown.

I try hard not to talk bad about him for one reason: the work he has done with getting kids out of gangs. For that I really respect him. But really, after that, he's hard to listen to anymore.

Jim Brown has no stake in this debate and he has no reason to say anything but what he truly feels.
It's his opinion, however unpopular that opinion is on this message board if his doesn't meet with your approval, then you can disagree, but he has nothing to gain or lose with this debate.
I do know this much about Jim Brown and that is he has very high standards for the RB position, but his opinion is no more idiotic then yours or mine.
LT was another back he wasn't so high on, but that had more to do with his style, then abilities.
He has offered praise of AP, so he does still offer the good and the bad in his opinions.

Scary to think how badly he had wanted to continue to be an "advisor" to Lerner and the Browns.
His rich history as a player is a boon to the organization. Most of his words and actions ever since have been a horrific embarrassment.

I cannot help but grin at the timing of all this: Jim Brown pipes up saying that Trent Richardson isn't special, followed virtually immediately by the Browns trading up to take...Trent Richardson.
On a very juvenile, petty level, this great irony was as satisfying as anything I've experienced as a Browns fan in the last decade.

When I pointed out this morning that if the Browns wanted Trent Richardson, they had to give something up to get him because Tampa Bay was looking to move up and had a chance of getting Richardson fairly cheap, if we were not bidding too, I was hoping it would not be too expensive.
We did not spend our top picks in the 2nd 3rd or 4th round to complete the deal so I would say we got off as cheap as we could have.
