Is there a reason OKC played Game 4 the same night other teams were playing Game 3...?

Honestly, I'm hardly a fan of anyone on that team, especially after they added James and Bosh. I liked DWade and the heat back when Shaq was on the team but that was mostly cause I'm a Shaq fan more than anything else.
I'd love to see OKC take it, I think that Kevin Durant is top 3, if not the best in the NBA right now. The Thunder have been playing great basketball too.

Because he's a whiny d-bag, and always has been the biggest drama queen in the league.
His comments post-decision when someone asked him if Lebron tried to get him to come to Cleveland before they decided on Miami are enough alone. Go look them up.
I just don't care about Lebron anymore. I don't hate the guy, I don't root for him. He gave us 7 fun years of exciting basketball. Wade just irritates me. Just a guy I can't stand, and didn't like even when we had Lebron.
You know how some people just hate Kobe? I don't hate Kobe at all. I have always been neutral (although some of his fanboys are laughable) well I feel that way about Wade.

Miami hasn't played that great in this series, outside of game 1. Last 2 games it has actually been pretty damn bad. This is encouraging for the rest of the league.

I honestly don't remember anything up until the night after the decision when all those guys sat down after their wwe-esque entrance (where lebron had his well documented guarantee) when Wade had some things to say about Dan Gilbert.
I don't remember Bosh saying anything about it.
For anyone that didn't hear, someone asked Wade if Lebron tried to recruit him to play for the Cavs during free agency and he said something along the lines of "me and lebron are cool, but he just wasn't going to sell me on that"
It was a knock on the city. It certainly wasn't on the team, because the Cavs used to wipe the Heat up and down the floor when Lebron was a Cavalier. Like he could have just said, you know, Miami is my home, this is the team that drafted me, I just didn't want to leave, but he had to just jam that knife in a little deeper.
Lebron knocked Cleveland down, but I honestly think Wade kicked us when we already were. I hope he tears his ACL in both knees and never plays again. Sorry, I just feel that way about him.

I do remember that, and I remember the morning of the decision, someone saying Bosh would sign with the Cavs.
I don't know if I buy any of it, especially if you believe that these 3 had this planned since 2008.

All across the sports world people are giving massive credit to Carmelo Anthony for stepping up big last night to make sure the Knicks weren't swept.
What I want to know......why does he get a pass for games 1, 2 & 3? And what happens if they get blown out in game 5?
Why is he considered a hero for stopping a sweep? Should he be playing like that every game to get any kind praise?
If you lose a series 1-4 and got destroyed on the 4 loses....no praise is deserved.

Especially in New York since they overreact to everything. He has been nothing short of a giant disappointment for the Knicks. Guy has all the talent in the world to be a great two way player. I've seen him play unbelievably great defense when he wanted to. That's all on him. If you can't play hard for George Karl, chances are you probably aren't going to play hard for anyone else.
I don't really have a problem with the Knicks, I like their jersey and logos, but part of me is chuckling because they tried ripping star players from other teams to try and make themselves better, and it's blown up in their face.

that's always been the tease with Melo.
he scored 41pts on 29 shots with a defense that was trying to stop him. that is ridiculous. but, then he'll have completely inefficient nights too and he doesn't help his teammates get involved.
ah well, at least Miami didn't sweep.

Was happy for Steve Blake getting that huge shot last night. Always thought he was a decent player. No way Kobe makes that pass with that game tied or down 1 though, lol.

Yeah forgot to mention, real happy for Ramon, he's been a great fit there.
I know it's the thing to hate the Lakers, but I'm pulling for them. If they play OKC I dunno who I like better.

I wanna see LAC/Boston just to watch Bill Simmons head explode when Blake dunks on KG. Personally I'd love to see Miami NOT make the Finals. As I think them exiting the playoffs progressively earlier each round would be hilarious... ...especially when they get ousted in the first round by the Cavs in a couple years

Not only that, but I think he got a raw deal in Cleveland. I was as guilty as anyone. I was all about keeping Lebron, and doing whatever it took for him to stay. In hindsight, it probably didn't matter.
Think it worked out for Mike though, he's got a pretty nice gig with a good team, and we've got the perfect coach for a young superstar PG.
I'm still pulling like hell for him, he handled the entire Cavs thing with nothing but class, and I know a few people who ran into him in his time with the Cavs and everyone says the same thing, real nice guy, same guy you see on tv.
I honestly think if the Lakers were to beat the Heat in the Finals, Mike would find a way to give props to Cleveland and maybe jab Lebron a little bit. Once you get to the top of that mountain, you can go ahead and take a shot like that.

I have to disagree, and based on some of the things I've read, Lebron was pretty much shrugging off the things he wanted to do.
I mean if you really think about it, I doubt that Mike just drew up a "Hey Lebron, hold the ball for 23 seconds then jack up a 3 with 2 guys hanging on you" every single time. I mean I bet it probably happened where he said hey just use up clock and get something up, but how often did we see that?
I think the guy can coach, I think his teams seem to be ready for the playoffs.
He's not perfect, he's not Popovich or Phil Jackson, but he's a fine coach. What he was able to do in 2008 with that group is amazing, I think it was more amazing than than 2007 finals run.
I mean the guy did take us to the finals. Everyone talks Lebron but the team defense that year was staggering. They could hold teams in the 60's.

Still took us there. I agree it was weak but Detroit was the better team going into that series.
2008 had that team that was thrown together at the deadline one crappy PJ Brown lucky jumper away from maybe going right back.

please ignore any talk I had above about the Grizzlies. they were a pet team all year, but this inability to score for 10min stretches is killing them and it looks like it'll be enough to get them bounced in the 1st round.

I wouldn't mind OKC, they're a likeable team but as others have said, I'm pulling for LA. Mike Brown got completely thrown under the bus by LeBron and his "boys". It would be hilarious to see him get a ring before LeBron. I hate LA but I'm cheering for that storyline. In reality though, there are 13 remaining teams that I would gladly applaud as champions.....1, not so much.

this is not true. Durant would have been a restricted FA just like LeBron when he signed his contract extension. I truly hope Durant is committed to the Thunder and stays longterm, but it's impossible to read into a contract extension when the Thunder offered him the max and even if other teams could offer him as much, the Thunder would get to keep him anyway.

I don't like Kobe and don't want him to match MJ despite how much MJ punched the Cavs in the gut in the late 80s/early 90s.
I'm okay with it for other factors, but that part would sting.

Yeah I've had too many arguments with a couple buds of mine on Kobe's jock claiming he's the GOAT. It's just irritated me to no end because Kobe's first 3 included the most dominant post player of the decade and the next 2 the most skilled big man in the league and two more seven footers. Jordan was the best post player on his team as the two guard for crying out loud and the league actually allowed hand-checking still. That and their competitive edges just aren't the same. MJ didn't seek a trade then rescind on the idea because the trade would've tipped the scale too evenly....
So that is the only thing that would suck about the Lakers winning. Is it better than Lebron? Slightly. But the Kobe love-fest is only a little less annoying with all the MJ talk to follow...

Yeah, I don't mind Kobe so much ... it's just his beligerant fans that I can't stand. Kobe can't win a title unless he has an All-NBA big man playing with him ... but yeah, he's better than/equal to Jordan, just because of ring count.  The idiot radio guys out here are among the worst. You'd think "ring-count" was the only stat that was kept in the NBA.
