They also never answered the question about who was feeding rats to the walkers.

Still not answered. That one is going to linger it looks like.

As for Daryl, people like him because he is his own man. He doesn't yearn to be lead, it's a choice. At any point, he can be part of the group or be on his own. Everything he does is his decision. Any man would want to identify with that.

Michon is like the female version of Daryl. They are the two best characters. I don't follow the comic, but I don't think those two characters will get killed off ... maybe ever ... or at least not until the very end of the series ... unless a character is introduced that can fill the void.

I wonder if we are to assume that it was just the Governor who was feeding the rats?

Didn't think of that. Yeah, maybe since he knew about the prison and had been spying for some time.

You would think they would directly tie him to it though. Not sure.

As much as the zombies eat, it makes me wonder if they poop. I know I couldn't eat that much without sitting on the throne for a few days. Plot hole, I suppose.

The biggest plot hole is who is mowing the grass in this world?

That, or where are these women finding the time to pluck their eyebrows?

I always assumed it was the little girl feeding the walkers. At first she was talking like they were still human and IIRC she was naming the walkers.

She has some issues and what she almost did in the last episode before a certain person showed up is more evidence of that. It was her IMO.

A number of plot holes were going through my mind last night (finally caught up with last two episodes).

1. Since they got to the prison, I can't imagine they've traveled more than a 10 mile radius in any direction yet in the last episode they found food sources ... old bar and houses ... that were close enough to the prison to get to on foot. But they or another set of people had not found these places yet.

2. Again with the 10 mile radius thing ... other groups always seem to materialize out of nowhere yet they never just run into each other.

3. When Rick and Glen escaped Atlanta they needed zombie guts and blood to disguise themselves as they walked through a pack of zombies. Michon only needs to put a couple on a leash and she is "disguised".

4. Kind of weird how a bottle filled with formula just appeared out of nowhere last week.

I still love the show, but there are some stretches. At least their hair is getting long.

They got the formula when Glenn went out with Merle and Michonne right?

I have not read the comics, but I've always been confused why they every once in a while would show helicopters flying by. Like they purposely did that to let you know, yet they never really brought in the angle of what our military was doing during this catastrophe (other than the part where the governor killed those national guard guys)

It's a TV show about Zombies and a world where people get shot and healed by a Vet, have their leg sawed off and live in utter filth but still survive.

Let't not pick away at reality. What are the producers supposed to do? OK all you people in this subdivision, we are going to film here in two years so if all of you can do us a favor an not cut your grass for two years so we can have that realistic 30 sec clip as we drive by. K Tkxs.

Glenn and Maggie went out and found it but that is when Merle took them (when he was hunting Michonne).

Michonne saw it happened and heard them talking about the prison and she took the formula there and warned Rick about the Gov & crew.

It was a joke more than anything, but to that point...it's not 1997 anymore. You can CGI almost anything.

You must have missed the part where I said I still love the show.

Actually, depending on my mood, it may be my favorite show of all time.

Nope didn't miss it, I guess I'm missing the part where I said you hated the show?

Look I know you and PDR were just cracking a joke, but when the same joke is cracked multiple times....well my comment was more along the lines of "ok guys, it was funny once but let's not beat a dead horse here". Its not like I was mad or was getting upset with your comments.

I know it was a joke, but it already has one of the highest budgets in Cable Television, I'm sure they could CGI stuff in but why waste the money on something stupid like grass?

or maybe the zombie virus has infected the grass, so it looks alive, but isn't, so it doesn't grow.

FINALLY watched episode 2.

I have no doubt that girl was the rat killer. She was about to go way above & beyond kiling rats.

As much as i like the show, I am so ready for it to be wrapped up. Would love to read that next season is the last. However long it lasts, I gotta keep watching though...

Oops my bad... I thought this was a thread on being a Browns fan...

I have never seen the show... But I hear many people talk about it and love it.. And people love to go to Zombie parties due to this...

When the show first aired I had no tv... So many of the new shows out that are popular... I don't watch because it's hard to start watching when shows are in 2nd and 3rd seasons...

Not trying to be an ass or anything but you can rent the DVD's, Netflix has quite a few shows, the on-demand feature on a lot of cable boxes, would allow you to catch up before watching season 2 or 3.

Several lame episodes recently. Gotta wonder if the show is running out of gas.

Maybe they need to hurry up and write an acceptable end-game before the plug gets pulled on the show all-together.

They definitely have a structure of what they want to accomplish in any given season I'm sure. Keep in mind, the comic book is still running, is way ahead of where the show is, and has no end in sight as far as I know.

The way I view this past episode is they're developing the blonde girl (how telling is it that I don't remember her name) so they can either kill her or someone else off and have it be a meaningful death. Up until now, she's barely said anything. Set up episodes are always necessary, though I think they could have accomplished last nights episode in 1/4 or 1/2 of the time.

I've enjoyed this half of the season so far, not sure what you guys/gals were expecting but I think the filming direction has been refreshing.

The show has several years left in it's legs and they are already making another show that will take place in the same "universe" but will be a different location with different characters which is set to be released in 2015. So it won't be a spin off since that typically means they take an existing character and start a show with them.

As YTBR (typing out your entire handle just seems like too much work man ) mentioned I'm sure these are set-up episodes, but I've been exceedingly bored by the house episode with Rick and this past episode with the girl. Even though I know they are set-up episodes, the sense I get from them are that of just wandering, lost people who don't have any direction or development.

Speaking directly, it feels very flat right now. I hope the writers found some inspiration and were able to kick it up a notch.

I'm patiently awaiting some sort of intersection between all of these fringe episodes to culminate into an epic season ending.

But honestly, I'm ready for some sort of finality to it. Either find a cure or everyone die already.

Just clicking OT

The thing with Daryl and Beth kind of had me thinking. First I thought when they got drunk that they were going to end up having sex. Then I started wondering how old Beths character is. I thought she was like 16 or so. Ok having sex with a 16 yo isnt right, but do the rules kind of go out the window in a apocalypse? There was a time when a woman was married and had kids by 16. Would A and E dare to do something like that with the backlash it could cause?

I also thought we were going to find out that Daryl was a recovering alcoholic and he was going to struggle with that now that he was drinking

I was expecting more progression in the story, and less filler episodes focusing on just 2 characters so they can save on the budget.

It feels like all the episodes from the second half could've been one. Why are the writers focusing on character development in the middle of the season? Any dramatic tension built up from the midseason finale is long gone.

I agree there. I do think it's in an effort to kill someone major off. You're either making Beth a major character to kill her off, or kill off one of the other big characters. The introduction of the new Army dude as well leads me to believe at least one major character will be gone by season's end.

The only two characters on this show that are untouchable are Rick and Carl. Rick is certainly the central character to the show, love him or hate him. I could still see Carl being killed off at some point though.

Considering the situation of all the main characters being split up, I've considered the new season pretty good.

However, I thought the last one was the worst of the whole series so far. Worse than any episode from the "farm" season that I feel gets way too much hate.

I just think Daryl has been a very overrated character and the actor's portrayal of him has been borderline sub-par. Just never convinces me he's a real southern, white trashy guy, always trying to conceal that heart of gold.

And the girl flat-out can't act.

I've already said it in this thread: WRAP 'ER UP!

I'm finally catching up on Season 3, which I thought I already saw, but didn't. Have all episodes of season 4 recorded that have been aired, but haven't watched any until I'm caught up with season 3.

Just wanted to say I love the human head aquarium 'the general' had in season 3, before it got knocked over. Classic gore! That setup would look great in my apartment.

I like that they take the time to kind of reset the storyline after a major event. And although it's slow, I find it interesting and believe they are working for a climatic finish.

I thought the farm season was awesome. Never heard that it got much hate.

And have to disagree on Daryl. Easily one of the top 2 or 3 characters. Have no idea where they are going with him now, though. Last 3 episodes should be good.
