How do you know what people's careers are?
I actually know the careers of several people on here. And none of them work in the NFL.
Of the ones I do not know I'm sure that most of those guys, that know exactly every wrong move the Browns have ever made, would not hesitate to let us ALL know that they had some tenuous connection to the NFL.
Anyway, if it makes you feel better to moan and groan and take cover because the sky is falling by all means, be my guest.
Let me tell you what I do. I'm a Marine in charge of an MV-22 avionics work center. Every year I get new guys who don't know their heads from their rears and turn them into a highly functional unit of maintainers that perform well under the pressure of a high operational flight tempo in theater where peoples lives are in their hands.
If I managed my Marines like this team manages their players, people would surely die.

Good for you. But shouting, "Beer Man" really doesn't count as being employed by the NFL does it?

Yes, that's an apt comparison....a life and death situation and football. Get a grip people....it was ONE freakin' game.

He's got a better NFL job than that....and it involves cheerleaders!

I got your point.
I just didn't think it was a very good one.

I'd love to know what it is that you do besides call all of us "whiners" and clearly states how we have no reason to complain without supplying that light that only you see at the end of this tunnel. All you've done the past 2 days is call other posters names and not add anything to the discussions.

But after one game everything everyone is saying is pure frustration and conjecture.
No, Weeden looked horrible.... like, record-setting horrible.... those are facts, from those facts comes frustration, from that frustration comes conjecture...
Which all come from a total lack of patience and some disfunctional innability to let things play out for a little while first.

It's pre-mature and people act like someone stole their birthday.
Well, Philly offered us a week 1 gift.. and Weeden is the reason we didn't get to keep it... so I suppose it is very much like that. Except I have a birthday once a year, the Browns win an opener much less frequently than that.
Well pile right on DC. Everyone knows we can all judge the long term by week 1.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Well I'm not him but there is as much chance that there's light at the end of the tunnel as there is a train wreck at the end of it. So no, it's not just him.
Andrew luck was forced to throw a lot Sunday as well. Everyone knows he was far more prepared in the pro style O than any QB in this draft by a country mile. Yet Luck threw 3 picks and one TD in garbage time. And a fantastic QB rating of 52.9.
Do you think that really reflects Lucks future in the NFL? I sure don't. And if it's "not fair" to say that about Luck after one game, then how is it fair to judge Weeden that way?
We have a lot of rookies on the field. We have a lot of growing and maturing to do on the O side of the ball. Nobody knows how this unit will turn out by this seasons end. Nobody knows how much progress they will make.
Tossing a coin is no less scientific than the possibilities either way. So there could be light and there could be a train wreck. Only time will tell us that. Not a bunch of rants based on one game.

Well, I guess I don't see the reason to push the panic button after ONE game. A game that was a ONE point loss to what is, by all accounts, a Super Bowl contending team.
Obviously, you do. Apparently, you enjoy living in a state of angst like that. I don't.
What I am trying to add to what you so laughingly call "the discussion" (seems much closer to a series of illogical rants to me) is a sense of calm and reality. I realize that most of these guys can't be reasoned with regarding the Browns. That's the way it's always been around here. It's just much worse this year for some reason.
As far as calling people names I believe you have me confused with someone else. I have defined the people that have been posting non-stop calling for heads to roll as whiners. Seems entirely appropriate to me.
I also never said that no one has a reason to complain. But at least make it an intelligent complaint. Not, "FIRE THEM ALL" which is the essence of at least 75% of the posts since 4pm Sunday. Get a Grip, people.
Lastly, telling me that you do your job so much better than the FO may be true. I have no way to verify that and it's a subjective evaluation at best. A piece of self serving fluff at it's worst.
Good enough explanation for you or would you like a bit more?

That all these guys know so much more than anyone in the FO or coaching staff.
Yet not one of them works in any capacity with an NFL team. Some team should take advantage of all this abundant knowledge.....
Good point. Effective 10 am today, the MB will be shut down because none of us have ever really been an NFL GM or head coach so our opinions are pointless. None of us have ever been President or a Senator so our opinions on politics are pointless. None of us are Bill Gates so our opinions on technology are pointless.
The site will be reopened as a repository for videos of press conferences, post game interviews, and political speeches where we can all come to bask in the knowledge of those who know so much and have brought us to such a lofty place with our football team and our nation. There will be no place for comments so dissenting opinions need not bother showing up.
Have a nice day.

To add to that, can we just stop treating the game of football as if it is some kind of complicated calculus that you need some sort of special knowledge to understand? You don't have to be a 30-year NFL scout to tell when a QB has a lousy game or the OL couldn't get any movement against the opposing front seven. It isn't really that complicated. Gawd that gets annoying after a while.

Are you seriously telling me that you couldn't see Pinky trying to play with his pelvis tilted 34 degrees instead of the 39 degrees required to get maximum push? If our coaches didn't suck they would fix that and the running game is off to the races.

Idiot... It was 36 degrees. Next time, freeze your DVR and measure it like I did.

haha well the beer guys aren't actually employees of the NFL... I actually do work for a NFL team as part of 'game day entertainment' working with their mascot...
I did sell beer for the Browns when I lived in cleveland the first couple of years when they came back
