Ok. So I stopped at "Just..Win.." Had I kept reading I probably would of gotten it
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

I don't have an issue with the Nike costumes. Just pick one. When did black become one of the school's colors? Or chrome? Or that awful day-glow yellow green? I'm not sure they've worn the same costume twice in a season. Decide on school colors. Stick with them.

Do you have some inner yearning to be a wardrobe consultant?
I saw a special about that on E.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

how about we change the name, uniforms, get a logo, etc.. I'm all for it, the browns have sucked forever, I hope haslem changes everything.
Instead of the Cleveland Browns, how about the Cleveland Oranges. Then we can keep the colors and all.
Maybe add an orange peel paint scheme to the helmets.

Why stay with orange? Black jerseys sell well. The Cards and Falcons have gone to black. Let's follow suite. And plain orange? Who decided on that out dated color anyway? I say we go with a day glo color like the Seahawks have now adopted. A bright 80's glow orange anyone? Why stop with just two colors? Let's add a few others like the Ducks have. (yellow, green, day glo versions of both, black, white, chrome...) We should also shake up the patterning. Stripes are so boring. We could be the first team with polka dots. But instead of dots... Paw prints!! The Buckeyes should make changes too. Scarlet and Grey? How 1850's is that? Chrome and bright red. Maybe flames cuz they're cool. Add some black. That'll sell some jerseys. Matter of fact all colleges should toss tradition to the side. Every school president should spill a box of 64 crayons. Which ever roll off the table are the new school colors. That'll be awesome! Every couple of years they could do it over so that they can make new jerseys for the next generation to wear. End sarcastic rant.
I'll never budge folks. Never. Sorry but I'll go into the ground bleeding orange, brown, scarlet, and gray. Let those without tradition make a mess of their uniforms but leave ours alone.

why not go Iowa Hawkeyes visiting locker room on the league?
pink jerseys with hearts all over it. maybe add some delicate shades of purple (perrywinkle?). lull the opponent to sleep. and, I keep hearing that men actually don't mind wearing pink shirts, so it supposedly won't hurt our marketing efforts and should help with the ladies.
change the pants to skirts while we are at it as well and put ruffles over the pads on the legs underneath it.

Right.. because that's almost the exact same thing as having a few cheerleaders and sprucing up the striping patterns on the uniforms.
I was going to suggest changing up some of the standard music that is played at the stadium but God knows that if we did that, surely the ground would open up, swallowing the stadium, the team, our old trophies and all of our tradition with it.
And what the heck is the deal with that jumbo tron giant television thing at the end of the stadium? That surely wasn't there when we were winning championships.. get it the hell out and put back up the light bulb scoreboard that gives you the score, the time and a little football shaped thing made out of lightbulbs so we know who has the ball... THAT'S ALL WE NEED BECAUSE WE ARE THE CLEVELAND BROWNS DAMN IT!!!!!!!!
And oh by the way, for those going to the next home game, I fully expect to see you in a button down shirt with tie, an overcoat and a derby hat... this whole notion of wearing sweatshirts, jerseys and baseball hats to the games IS RUINING EVERYTHING!!!

as long as it's a brown jacket with orange tie, I would LOVE to bring this tradition back to the game.
of course, when Mike Nolan tried to on the sidelines, the NFL vetoed it.

Ok, first off, nobody ever suggested (or at least I never suggested) changing our colors... but I have to ask, Why is it different? That seems like kind of an arbitrary place to draw the line. Music changes, fashion changes, technology changes, food changes, beer changes, stadiums change, rules change, facemask designs change, coaches shirts and jackets change, sideline hats change, endzone and midfield logos change, the pads on the goal posts change... but the font we use for our numbers must never change or all tradition is lost.

Change the font. I don't care. But once we start down that road what's to stop us from ending up looking like the vomit spill that is the Maryland football uniforms? Don't fix what isn't broken. That's all I'm saying. I still listen to Bing and Nat sing Christmas carols. Why? Because it's comfortable. It's part of my youth. A thread in the fabric of Christmas tradition. The Browns feed that same part of me. Knowing every year that when the boys come through that tunnel it'll be the same is comforting to me. I like that. Maybe I'm of the old guard. Maybe the short attention span youth of today don't hold the same reverence. Or maybe we bow at their whims instead of teaching them about our past. Your right. The earth won't swallow the stadium if we hire strippers to dance on the sidelines. Or even if we were to change the team colors. Just count me as one that would miss the old uni's, and still think its weird that a few bimbos are prancing about hundreds of feet away on the sidelines apparently riling up a few desperate horny old men.

Not when they play like $#*+. Bring back the winning part of our tradition. The name on the back of the jerseys can change. Just keep the jerseys and win.

What's wrong with change? A man bought this team and spendt a billion dollars. I didn't see that anyone on the board was suggesting the cheeleaders.
That was done and presented to us this way. It wasn't something we requested. I guess it boils down to...... "Do we have the right to stop someone who bought this franchise from making decisions on what he wants to change?"
I say we don't. We may not suggest or want certain changes, but in the end it is his decision as the owner as what changes are to be made and it is our decisions as fans as to whether we wish to follow and support this team when and if certain changes are instituted.
I want to see my team win. I'd say if Haslam can make that happen, I'd accept a lot more changes than I may otherwise.
But you have taken the idea of some cheerleaders and taken it far beyond that and it's kinda silly really....

The leagues uniform rules.... you can't, by rule, have a bunch of different unis in the NFL. You have a white and a dark and throwback.. that's it. But what's to prevent it? Common sense... every team, every single one including the Browns have tweaked the uniforms down through the years and most have had major changes at one point or another...

Exactly. it's a thread in a big piece of fabric... but since they sang those memorable songs, thousands of other artists have written and sung Christmas songs, some original some classic remakes and not a single one of them ruined Christmas.

Actually, one of the greatest ever is a classic Bing being joined by a young upstart named David Bowie. Classics become classics because someone, at some point, tried something new.

The Packers uniforms have been the same since the 50s

Exactly. Following 15 years of not making the playoffs, they changed the uniforms in 1959 and went on to win 4 championships in the 60s... dude y'all keep making my case for me.
It is really kind of funny (and interesting) looking this stuff up... The Packers hired Vince Lombardi, who most think of the consummate old school throwback.. his very name is the embodiment of the word "tradition"... he was hired in 1959 and the first thing he did was change the uniforms and two years later he put a logo on the helmet.
So Vince Lombardi can embrace change but it's too good for Pat Shurmur?

I've always thought they could "upgrade" the uniforms quite a bit, and still not really go overboard. Make the helmet a metallic, reflective orange color to give it a modern "industrial" look. You could make the stripe one of those faded three-stripe looks like the titans or broncos have. The jerseys could incorporate a single stripe look, like most modern jerseys seem to have and a sleeker font. Maybe like a brown version of Tampa Bay's new jersey. (http://nfl.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/p13543257dt.jpg)
There ... you maintain the "classic" colors, no logo and general theme, yet get a modern looking upgrade.
Your "throwback" would be the standard Browns jersey you see now ... the secondary throwback, could be the "all-white" look that they sported in the 1940's. White helmets and all.

The Terps went to bowl games in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010. Then their uniform designer lost a bet with the devil and they missed a bowl game in 2011 and are 2-2 this year.

The uniform effect takes 2-5 years before it works. Marylands top 2 RBs are a freshman and a sophomore, their top 2 WRs are a freshman and a sophomore, and their QB is true freshman... and they just gave the #8 team in the country all they could handle on the road... I think they will be fine in a year or 2.

People will probably bring up a team like the Steelers and say, "See, they have stuck with the same traditional uniform and they do ok." To which I say.. "Not so fast my friend."
The Steelers had 1 playoff season in 36 years before switching to the black helmets and jerseys that we all know today... 5 years later they started on their run to win 6 super bowls...
they also started funneling their gambling operation money into doctors who were state-of-the-art in steroids into their training facilities.
That's true...the Steelers were the only ones taking steroids back in the day
