I also believe this is how the order will go if all teams finish undefeated. Alabama and Oregon meet up if they hold their ground.

That would suck if we wind up #1 in the AP, and are ineligible for the National Championship.

Braxton Miller has accounted for 27 TDs on the season. OSU record is 31, shared by Troy Smith and Bobby Hoying.

Braxton ranks 22nd nationally in total offense with 291.9 yards per game. Previous OSU season record is 270.6 ypg by Joe Germaine in 1998.

We are witnessing potentially the greatest QB we've EVER had.

that is true for now. but Oregon "can" catchup on those computer rankings depending on how things play out. but KSU likely will not jump Oregon in the human polls.

Pac12 Championship (likely vs. UCLA{7-2} or USC{6-3})

Oregon has got to be rooting for UCLA to win-out to the PAC12 championship game so that they can provide the biggest computer boost. If USC loses to ND but manages to back their way in (or if AzState manages to sneak into the game), then it'll hurt Oregon's overall boost.

Either way though, they are getting a boost from now until the end.

Doesn't having a Conf title game give them enough boost?

another oddity. the ACC Coastal already has UNC inelgible. Miami may decide to put themselves on a championship/bowl ban as well.

that sets up my favorite possibility of all possibilities for a championship game.

VaTech sits in the drivers seat despite being 2-3 as they beat both Duke and GaTech. Should they falter (FSU, BC, UVa), Duke would be a nice story. However, it is possible for GaTech to go 5-7 and claim the Coastal Division. Imagine the Orange Bowl's faces if a 6-7 GaTech team is forced upon them

Here's how:

UNC is ineligible for the ACC champ game.
Miami declares themselves ineligible as pending NCAA sanctions are coming.

GaTech (4-5/3-3) beats Duke, but loses to UNC and Georgia to finish 5-7/4-4.
Duke (6-4/3-3) loses to GaTech (Miami game doesn't even matter).
...............Duke w/ Miami win: 7-5/4-4
...............Duke w/ Miami loss: 6-6/3-5
VaTech (4-5/2-3) loses to FSU and either BC or UVa to finish 5-7/3-5

I might love LSU football more than any non-LSU fan.

Everything about that school fascinates me. And listening to Scott Van Pelt talk about the atmosphere Saturday has me all pumped up lol.

I will experience that stadium next year. If Florida @ LSU is a night game, I'm there!

Everyone has their plans for what they are gonna do if they win the lottery, and I think some people go way too far with it, like it's gonna happen, lol.

But If I won, I'd travel around the country during football season like gameday does, checking out a different school's tailgate and stadium atmosphere every week. That would be an absolute blast.

LSU is definitely high on my list.

Probably my top 5 of places I want to see a college game

1. Ohio Stadium - I know, but I have never been inside the stadium for a game.

2. Autzen Stadium - I have grown to love Oregon's game. I'm not gonna buy a bunch of jerseys or anything, but I always try and catch them if I can. I always tell people if the Penn State thing happened at OSU, I'd flush my loyalty down the crapper. I'd probably be an Oregon fan.

3. Neyland Stadium - Dunno why but I have always wanted to check out a Tennessee game

4. LSU - Gotta be a night game, like Bryan says.

5. Probably a massive tie between Lane Stadium, UT Kyle Field, Morgantown, and Memorial Nebraska Stadium.

that's a fun list idea to get going on here. my top5:


1. Army v. Navy (at the Linc. the game should always be in Philly). I'd love to somehow get involved in the full week of activities though I know that's not really allowed.

2. Michigan v. ND (South Bend) - what better game to watch in South Bend than one I can unabashedly cheer against the visitors. I guess I'd have to wait to get them on the schedule again if I didn't do it soon.

3. Ohio State v. Michigan (Ann Arbor) - Nothing would be more fun than going into their stadium and cheering with a group of fellow Buckeye fans and having us destroy that team up North. The youtubes of fans singing 'don't give a damn' in Ann Arbor a few years back just looked great.

4. OU v. UTx - Red River Shootout. Haven't been yet though I want to once my kids are a little older. State fair on the outside, 1/2 Burnt Orange + 1/2 Crimson on the inside. Sounds like a good time.

5. The Grove (Ole Miss). Something has to be said for a tailgate that's better than the games themselves. Being a Browns fan, I have a recent affinity towards the idea. I guess I'd like it to be an Egg Bowl game vs. Miss State if I actually went into the stadium.



favorite so far: Tx A&M. A few years back when they stunk and vs. a terrible Colorado team, but everything from the Midnight Yell to the Chicken afterwards is a blast.

TAMU is def a fun experience - I made two games last year and will be going to the Mizzou game this year.... some crazy traditions but a lot of fun and really nice fans.

Now we're #25 in the BCS. Here's to hoping we reach #16 or higher for a chance at a BCS bowl.

Petrino apparently interested in Kentucky. I honestly have no idea why as there will be better jobs open this offseason (Top, even you know that is true).

It would be a huge hire for Kentucky though.

Well, Kentucky has never had any scruples when it comes to hiring sleaze-bags in the past.

I talked to my guy at Kentucky.

Petrino would be interested in the job.

Kentucky is not interested in Petrino.

There's reasons for it, that I cannot say. But unless the boosters come in and demand Petrino the way they did Calipari, Petrino is not an option. (And I don't see the boosters demanding Petrino)

Dykes is more obvious because of his Kentucky ties, but I figured I should also mention my favorite coach (not mentioned nearly enough):

Chad Morris - all he has done is have extremely high-powered offenses everywhere he has gone. Only 43, he won a state HS title for Lake Travis, TX. Then was OC for Tulsa's best offensive year, and now is the OC at Clemson.

David Cutcliffe is choice #1
Kirby Smart is choice #2


After that, I'm not sure.

I have heard Dykes mentioned, but I'm not sure he's a real option.

For the record, I wanted Cutcliffe when we decided to give the job to Joker.

He's building at Duke, in a MUCH weaker conference. Not sure he'll leave.

we've talked about Cutcliffe before. I think your chance to hire him was the last time around.

at this point, I think he's proven enough that he can wait out a better job than Kentucky. not sure he'd see that as a huge step-up from what he has at Duke. yes, you can get better athletes, but you also have to compete with Florida/Georgia every year.

I think Cutcliffe deserves the Auburn job, but still think Petrino gets it. I'd love to see a top-level program throw him the keys though and see what he could really do at that level.

I want Petrino.
