I want no part of any organization that has Lombardi in any freaking compacity and I dont care if it is stadium usher or hotdog vender. To hire a piece of crap that has done nothing but badmouth the Browns in every way possible is just to much.

Farmer and Lombardi in the FO. We'd be better off with Abbott and Costello.we'll laugh with them because they're funny,we'll laugh at the other two because they'll be pathetic.

I'm not familiar with Ray Farmer, what has he done to be looked at so poorly from you?
Lombardi I understand. I'm just praying that somehow, someway, he has matured and can actually do a somewhat competent job as a football executive. But I seriously, seriously doubt it.
you had a good run Hank.

My major complaint with Farmer is; he had the misfortune of being mentioned in the same paragraph as Lombardi, and I needed someone to pair with Lombardi or my Abbott and Costello line would not have worked. He's a Rooney rule interview. Lombardi is a d-bag.Watching him on TV makes my skin crawl.Bringing him in to the Browns gives me some serious concerns about the capabilities of the new people.

But of those fired (again, outside of Lovie smith) Shurmur probably was decent,, just a young team.. that stuff takes time to blend together and yeah,, tons of mistakes were made..
You don't actually think Shurmur was decent, right?

I do not see how Lombardi could be a serious candidate for GM if we have lost out on every one of "his" coaching candidates. If those coaches didn't want to sign on the dotted line to work with Lombardi, then why would anyone else?
I sincerely hope that we go in a different direction, because I am extremely unimpressed with any supposed talent evaluation skills that Lombardi would bring to the job. The only Lombardi I want to see in Cleveland is the trophy.

Posted that earlier, but I'm not sure if that's too rumorish or not.
Sounds promising, though.
"Also, via our source: Ray Farmer, who was in the front office with Scott Pioli’s Chiefs, will be interviewed for general manager type slot tomorrow. We reported recently that Michael Lombardi is in the Browns’ fold,"

My remarks are nothing personal. To a degree, you may be right. It's just when you come in with snarky zingers like "Whisenpunt" and talk about how it'll result in "record three and outs", I recommend that your words are taken with a grain of salt instantaneously. If you have links to back up those claims, great. That can take the discussion somewhere. Sophomoric plays on words? Not so much.
Coaches rarely have final say during the NFL draft. Is their input valued and often acted upon? Sure. But I'd hardly call moving and shaking for 5th/6th round flyers at QB the magnum opus of a man who "parlayed his Super Bowl run into final say".
I could be proven wrong, but I'm skeptical Whisenhunt and Grimm were gleeful about having to take another WR at #13 overall. The next tackle was picked ten slots afterwards and there was no franchise QB. That at the least wreaks of limited options.
