I love when Analysts say something really stupid leading into a video package. And realize it right after they say it. But instead of correction it. Just stare at the screen. What Dan Marino meant: "Tom Brady hasn't won to a Championship in 8 years" What Dan Marino said: "Tom Brady hasn't been to a Championship in 8 years" Tom Brady in the SuperBowl. Last year. Aaaaand he corrects himself coming out of the video package.

If you're NE. Blow them out.
Do not even give anyone a chance to think it could go the other way.
Because then it will.

Thinking the same thing. Baltimore is bunch of resilient cockroaches. Step on their throat and don't give them any hope.

You can bet the NFL hopes he does. I'm sure the NFL would love nothing more than a Harbaugh vs Harbaugh Super Bowl matchup with Ray going out with a ring.

Conspiracy theory alert
I bet Belichick was using Ryan Mallet right there to drive up his stock and force the Browns to give up a higher pick.

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me who wins this game. I can't stand either team. Just very, very, very tired of seeing them both in this position.
I already know who I'm rooting for in SB 47. The SF 49ers. Not because of Jim Harbaugh. Because of the players.

Even though Ray Lewis is retiring. I can't wait till he gets voted to the Pro Bowl next season after being credited with 200 tackles.

And apparently you can hit PRers who've called a fair catch now.
As long as you play for New England.

One more reason why I'll be happy the day the Belichick-Brady Era ends. Pats players in general get away with too much in the ref's eyes.
The only good thing that can come from a Rats win (yeah...) would be that I wouldn't have to hear 24/7 media slurping of Brady and The Hoodie leading up to the SB. Thanks again, BSPN.

I have to say that I don't have the angst against the Rats that many Browns fans do. Once Modell had pretty much nothing to do with the team, I kind of lost a lot of my anger.
Also, a big reason I root against the Bengals and Steelers is because of their fans and I don't run into many Ravens fans.

Can't wait to hear how great Ray Lewis played in this game.
He'll likely get credited for about 37 tackles.
Might as well give him a forces fumble and a pick 6 too.
MVP! MVP!

I sense some jealousy and envy in regards to Ray Lewis.
If he was a Brown, you'd be wearing his jersey.
The Browns defense lacks a player that brings the emotion and passion that Lewis does. Lewis raises everyones performance around him on the defense. He's a tone setter. the Browns don't have a tone setter on defense. They have choirboys.
The Ravens are showing how much of a gap there is between them and the rest of the AFC North. Lombardi and Banner have their work cut out. The good news is that Heckert isn't GM anymore. Cause the way he was building it would be 2017 before they reached .500
Flacco,Rice and Smith aren't going any where anytime soon. Even Benard Pierce looks like a typical great Ozzie value pick. Depth on top of depth.
For the the Browns to catch the Ravens they have to get past the Bengals and Steelers. they haven't toughest road of all AFC North teams.

No Pernell McPhee is coached up to disrupt the passing lane if he can't get to the QB. its called team work. get a batted ball and give your team mates playing behind you a chance to get a INT off a tip.
maybe Taylor and Sheard should be paying attention.

the truth hurts..look at the Ravens and look at the Browns.
and tell me how big that gap is.
how many regimes and coaches have the Ravens gone through since 1996?
If I said the Browns would win the AFC North next year,I'd look like a homer.
Rob Chudzinski has a huge task ahead.
a 1st time HC has to get this team to find a way to get through 3 teams with established QBs and 3 coaches that have experienced the playoffs in the past 2 years.
Hiring Horton and Turner are steps in the right direction

what a story book season for the Ravens.
Art dies. Suggs goes on IR, Lewis misses most of the season but returns for the playoffs. They fire the OC with 4 games left.
go on the road and beat the might Belichek who Art fired when they moved to B-more.
How many teams would have been able to overcome what the Ravens did?
Success attracts hate.

well lets just say, I might put on a Ray Lewis jersey I got at Champs 10 years ago and wear it this week. Huge fan of Ray Lewis. He plays the game how its supposed to be played. I got DVDs of him that I use for teaching methods. Lewis never did any wrong toward me. see I don't believe in harboring bitter feelings and hate for a sports teams or players. waste of emotion
hate gets you no where. Heck I don't even hate Art Modell. My uncle was a detective in the 3rd district. Art was thankful for the extras my uncle did for certain players who always didn't do the smartest things and later on he did investigations for Art behind the scenes. Modell was a very generous guy. He never forgot about those who did things for him.

Pretty obvious that you were a Ravens fan from the beginning. Buzz off to the Smack Shack or go away completely.

So Bribery? Did you just admit your uncle was a corrupt crooked cop? Cause that's what it seems like to me. Only a moron would admit his family was involved in illicit conduct to try and make them look better.

I know a Frog who croaked that he'd consider Weeden a bust if he becomes Joe Flacco...I'd take that kind of "bust"

Yup. These statements are borderline CoachB with an odd mix of browns bashing added in. Once you start adding "behind the scenes detective work" 99% of the time the person is full of it. I'd have no problems with Kendall being removed from the boards.

So Bribery? Did you just admit your uncle was a corrupt crooked cop? Cause that's what it seems like to me. Only a moron would admit his family was involved in illicit conduct to try and make them look better.
That looks like exactly what he just did.. He must be so proud...

I love the mob mentality here and the people who love to jump to conclusions and act like know it alls. my uncle wasn't crooked. He knew of crooked cops, detectives, captains...but not him.
the truth of the matter is, there were a number of Browns players while Modell was owner that found themselves in places and situations that would have been a PR diaster for the Browns.
Art went to great lengths to have certain players followed a times. .and if a player found himself in "hot water" a call was made to my uncle and a lot of aggravation, paperwork and headlines was averted.
It was not uncommon that particular Browns players were in the company of lets say "colorful" people and Art made sure those associations never made the Press or Plain Dealer.
you guys would think different of your "Browns Heros" if you were aware of the things they took part in. But hey some of you know it all any how.

based on what? cause I'm critical of the last 14 years of garbage and inept football.
I have yet to attack or name call anybody.
when the Browns get to .500 then I will have reason to applaud them. until then they will be criticized.

My first thought after this game was the hoodie got outcoached, plain and simple. Blasphemy I know but it was pretty clear to my eye they weren't prepared for what the ravens brought the second half. At half time I was thinking if the Ravens want to win they need to commit to getting Rice going, the Pats interior can be run on but you got to wear them down. Then you get Boldin more involved over the top. Which is exactly what happened. The Pats had to know what was coming.

It's kinda funny that Brady and Belichick have not won anything since they have become this well-oiled scoring machine.
When they had that great defense, and kept things close to the vest, they were winning championships. Now they don't have the closers on defense.
Brady is a legendary player, but guys like Willie McGinest, Mike Vrabel, Bruschi, Seymour were all pretty important, and they've never really been replaced. They have some nice players, but you never have faith that their current guys can close it out.
Still pretty impressive what they can do year in and year out,

That Pats D also took a beating last night. Didn't they lose like 2345789230457802 DBs to injury? :-p
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Remember the Bengals fan named ImpactPlaya who used to make threads pretending to want to discuss football but would thinly veil them with insults and smack about the Browns? I'll give you one guess who Kendall was.

Sounds about right, but didn't he admit he was a bungle fan?

Yes, as Impact he did.
I'm letting you all know so people aren't wasting their time arguing with a troll fan from another team disguising himself as a Browns fan.

I've known since day one. His first topics were boarder line smack. Well I should say I was 99.99999% sure until today, after his comment about buying a Ray Lewis Jersey 10 years ago I was 100% sure. Pretty sad individual if you ask me. Kendall/impact seek help. I mean that seriously. No joke or smack intended.
Just like CoachB, I knew early on something was wrong. I made several comments at B of how a college coach had so much time to waste on a message board. Kendall just wasn't right from the beginning.
Shame, he asked me if I knew the real reason the browns traded Greg Pruitt in a PM and now I won't ever know.
I mean with his Uncles connections it would have been a real scoop.

He's been under a few different usernames if I recall correctly. His consistent posting style gave it away for me. Really going to miss his bashing of Joe Thomas, second guessing of free agent acquisitions, and constant underlying praise for the Bengals.

I guess that explains the chip on the shoulder for Joe Thomas. A lot of Bengal fans that I work with have chips on their shoulders about Whitworth not being considered as good as Thomas. If you watch a few games (especially the Philadelphia one), you will clearly see why he's not in the same class.

The NFL is set up for parity. Players and coaches on playoff/SB teams tend to be highly sought after, which makes it hard to keep a staff together and stay under the cap. As well, the quality of prospects that is available at 30 isn't nearly as high as it as at 6. Same thing 38 vs 62.
Honestly I think the biggest thing that hurt the Patriots is the same thing that allowed the Pats... and many other teams... to have these well oiled scoring machines. That is the emphasis on defensive holding and IIRC, the NFL really started emphasizing that somewhere around 2005. Their secondary hasn't even been close to the same since then, and every time they lose a big playoff game it seems like it's because they get scorched through the air and can't come up with a big stop.
But yeah I agree that they don't have the same core of good to great defensive guys and that has definitely hurt them. I just don't think in that great offense is a hindrance. Take that away and they are an average team at best, and certainly not earning a playoff bye 3 years in a row. Even without the Super Bowl wins, and really they were literally a non-miracle play away each Super Bowl in the '07 and '11 seasons (if us Browns fans can use that logic, so can they) and are at least in contention every season. Also, Belichick has invested pretty heavily in the D but there have been a lot of wasted early round picks over the years. That's another topic though

You mean Ty Law literally pushing Marvin Harrison out of bounds HELPED the Patriots?

to be fair, noone is (pass-blocking - Jake Long is better run-blocking. another funny argument to me as I want my elite LT to be the superious pass-blocker if anything, thank you).
