Those of you that have attended my tailgates with CapitalGG and Columbusdawg prolly know / have met my son SackDawg.
He is currently in his senior year in HS. This year he received his varsity K at Worthington Kilbourne HS 4 year soccer. His grades are good, and he's really turned out to be a nice young man.
He has been doing visits and applying to various colleges around Ohio and I'm pleased to let you guys know that he's been accepted at: Ohio University, University of Cincinnati, Kent State University and Otterbein University.
Thus far, we have received scholarship offers from OU, Kent and today we got Otterbein's offer of 11,000 a year for 4 years totalling 44,000.
I am beyond pleased. The only bad things that have happened this year is Mike Lombardi (possibly Joe Banner)

Congratulations.
Anymore, any time a kid can get a scholarship, and keep his student loans to a minimum, he increases his likelihood of being successful ..... just because he doesn't have a huge anchor hanging around his neck when he graduates.

Thats awesome Saint congrats!! I am a 94' graduate of WKHS as well! I was a sophomore the year it opened. Football and Soccer were both king when I was there. Great school!

That's outstanding! It appears that this is the place to brag, sooo My boy, also a senior, has been a 3 year starter at oline. He was a 300lb trapping guard his junior year, which was very problematic for opposing D ends, and this year he slimmed down to 245 so he could play 5-technique.For his hard work and dedication he was rewarded with an invitation to play in the Ohio North-South All-star game,DIV-DVI. Right now he isn't planning on playing football in college,he has a higher calling,ROTC and a desire for Special Forces.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

Congratulations to you and your son. I'm a year away and I am not looking forward to the scholarship chasing! Does Sackdawg know what he wants to major in?

Brag away, SaintD! My best to you and SackDawg. Hope he works hard and makes his own luck. Sure he will do fine in school, they are all good ones. Wish him nothing but the best of the best for me. Same major as my son plans on.
Check into Mount Union. They have a very good placement rate for grads from what my wife and I have been told.

That's great Saint! Congrats!
I'm a proud alumni of Kent State, so you know I'd lean that way. But, no matter where he goes, a college education is something that can't be taken away from you.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

79, His sister attends Kent. Last weekend, he went to Kent to spend the weekend and "get to know Kent". Well, I guess he had a blast, hung out with her friends, went to the new Panera, went to the ATO party and just had a great time. I wouldn't be surprised if he chose Kent. IMO, the other major player will be OU.
