Hey guys, we're a week in and 83 picks in... that puts us on pace to finish the draft (254 picks) the day before draft day. Let's keep it up! clwb is on the West Coast so he probably won't be picking for SEA and IND until close to his time limit, so if you pick shortly after his two and don't want to wait around , shoot me a PM with a couple players on it.

Also, I know some of you are planning on dropping out after the third round. If you are, will you please post a note about it here so we can get your team reclaimed? Thanks!

Seattle and New Orleans have agreed to a trade:

Hey,
Seattle is interested in picking up a 2nd 4th rounder (#109). To move up, I'd offer the following

Round 5, Pick 5 (138)
Round 5, Pick 25 (158)
Round 6, Pick 26 (194)

Points wise, it is 79 points, halfway between pick 107 and 108. Let me know if you're interested.

Deal. I need the picks, and that's a fair deal for both of us.
Would you mind announcing the deal? I'm pressed for time at the moment.

OK, we're well over on Chicago's pick. Based on yoshi's exhausted 2nd-round board, I think he'd like a DE or a CB. Any votes?

So far the Cheifs have picked up..

Luke Joeckel
Alex Smith (trade)
Ryan Swope
Tyler Bray
Montee Ball

I think Swope in the slot along with Bowe, Baldwin, and McCluster, and then Jamal Charles teamed up with Montee Ball, the KC Offense is young and in good hands.

Had I been KC the entire time I likely would of tried to trade out of #1, or send Brandon Albert somewhere for a 1st/2nd (still think it'll happen)

I was optimistic Barkley would get to my pick when he started to fall, but am ok with Bray learning and taking over for Smith in 2 years, when the young offense should be going well..

So far the Jets have added

Josh Freeman (trade)
Barkevious Mingo, OLB - LSU
Zach Ertz, TE - Stanford
Shawn Williams, SS - Georgia
Leon McFadden, CB - San Diego State
Stephan Taylor, RB - Stanford
2014 First Round Pick from New England

I did lose Mark Sanchez and Darrelle Revis, though.

Still, I'm happy with my draft.

As this gets into the depth...to get this moving smoothly - you know mess ups are going to start (mess up = picking a guy who was picked already )

Is it possible for a young dawg with time on his hands to list by Position who has been taken??? This way before making the pick I can go to Safeties n simply check a nice short list of who was gone. To confirm our pick is there to make.

As this gets into later rounds - Dawgs are going to be a little lazy to check each round for that player to be available. If we got an easier positional list to check it might move along.

I know my last pick I had to check 2-3 positions to see if the prospect I would want is still available. It took a lot of effort that might not be done for later picks or accurately done for later picks...JMHSuggestion.

I know I know I should do it. Just doing other stuff as I hang on the board.

Traded up to hopefully take Montee Ball, but KC beat me to it, right after I agree on the trade, LOL...but still was worth moving up & taking Gio Bernard Packers still needed help at RB. Ball would have fit in nicely but oh well that how it goes....

I just picked Zeke Motta who has fallen off the face of most draft boards. Due to his speed in shorts.

But he is a perfect example of a FOOTBALL PLAYER who give his all on every play for the team. The Combine has to get some rating system for the Heart beside literally the heart as in heart beats n medical reasons. I mean Football Heart.

Just was always impressed with that kid while playing. 4th round on...I would prefer Football players rather than workout warriors who lack Football skills. You actually can improve speed...Field speed.

Just thinking out loud. Clay...many RBs in any round can succeed on an Offense that has Flow like the Packers do. Kid you got has skill n fits in well with the Packers O

I think he'll go lower than that on draft day (disappeared too often last year). But, I will give him one thing. He is one of the few ND players who absolutely showed up vs. Bama.

KC is offering the 170th (6th round #2) and the 207th (7th round pick #1)

Looking to get back into the 5th round. PM offers.

Stupid not being able to trade Comp picks rule! *shakes fist*

I love over achievers...especially after the top 100 prospects are taken. Mostly you are looking at Football Players without the Olympic numbers or None Football Players with good-great Olympic Numbers.

Yeah one on one with Hernandez (Gonzo unfortunately might be in trouble medically) he might not look pretty. But you can take him out in a Nickel/Dime situation.

Alabama game showed that Heart n Intensity he can bring. I saw him turn games around during the season. Big games cause I didn't watch ND for ND but usually games that were going to be competitive. Hopefully Diam can give me some thoughts as he is about as big a ND fan that there is.

Awesome. Great list.

Also, what you can do, if you have a player in mind, CTRL+F and look for that players name on the page.

That's what I've been doing.

I like ChargerDawg's Franklin pick. Gives the Chargers three good options with Mathews, Woodhead, and Franklin. Hopefully Franklin excels and they don't have to resign Mathews this offseason.

so...it's that time again. unfortunately B^3 is late again, so we need to fill-in for the Dolphins.

they have selected:

Xavier Rhodes, CB
Robert Woods, WR
David Bakhtieri, OT
Travis Kelce, TE
Khaseem Green, LB

I think they still need:
DE, DT, S, OL

Any suggestions?

I think I have clearly had the best draft so far:

Dion Jordan, Kyle Long, D.J. Swearinger, and Ryan Nassib through four rounds. I should be working in an NFL front office!

I Disagree... I believe I have had the best draft. I traded picks to get from 5 picks to now 9 picks. I also acquired through the draft; Jamar Taylor CB,Jonathon Jenkins DT, Robert Lester SS, Tharold Simon CB, Vinston Painter OG.... at this point I should be finished with the draft... I still have 4 picks left to fill depth

No wheeling n dealing from me...hard to claim reality on some of the trades we were having done...Everyone wanted to be a player - I thought I was watching 18 year olds at their first House of Prostitution! Note not speaking from experience just my mental impression

Buffalo happy: Ziggy? I'll be shocked if he gets passed 2 Let alone pass #6

A top 3 WR of the draft in the 2nd. Hopkins
One of the most respected QBs Wilson to sit n learn as a 3rd round prospect
A SS that I just loved as a Football Player Go Figure...If I'm a Bill's fan I'm happy (of course I'm not )

Dallas
Bjoern Werner I saw 1 or 2 DE - After the combine all of a sudden this kid drops??? Why? Unless drugs or injury no reason.

Then investments needed for the entire Offense to become better.
RT Watson, C Schwenke n OG Thorton who will be a starter in Real life. These three can grow old together n finally get Dallas over the hump. OL not sexy but when you got the QB n stud WR n stud TE n solid RB...its about the OL

But most dawgs here are pretty well informed so many picks will look good if you ask me.

Dallas I feel much better for cause it was all about the LOS

Buffalo more risk...WR, QB, I liked the D picks in Ziggy n Zeke

When done put this baby in a time capsule n revive it after the 2015 season

Jets are disqualified because they still have Mark Sanchez on the roster. His mere status there takes everything down

The fact that the Sanchez trade occurred irks me a little bit. Realistically there is no way the Jets can dump him without taking a huge cap hit.

Trading Sanchez would incur another $4.3 MM. Josh Freeman has an $8.4 MM salary this year. Jets currently have $12.1 MM in cap space. Freeman would have to sign an extension for this deal to get done, and they'd have to structure it somehow where his cap hit this year would only be around $4 MM for it to work. Have to restructure some others.

Well, no... I take that back. Trading Revis incurs another $4 MM in dead cap. They'd have to have some people (Holmes? Ferguson?) restructure. They could gain $1 MM against the cap cutting Tebow, but yeah the cap implications of these moves make it seem very difficult.

The St. Louis Rams would like to trade back into 4th round if anyone interested in trading out. Still have 5,6 and 7 , if any interested can talk details. P.M me or let me know.

Should have said something. I would have traded pick 112 for your 5,6,and 7th round picks

Not my me.

I am quite happy that the Ravens signed McClain.

Just to update "our" team ... the Browns have drafted

Tyler Eifert, TE Notre Dame
Eric Reid, FS LSU
Blidi-Wreh Wilson, CB UConn
Brian Winters, OG Kent State
Trevardo Williams, OLB UConn

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I mocked you and proud of it
1. I never claimed this move by Ozzie was an act of genius.
2. You just don't get it

I mocked you Trading a 2014 pick which has absolutely no relevance to a 2013 MOCK DRAFT...for a player who again has no relevance in a Mock Draft...AND ANNOUNCE IT AS PART OF THE MOCK...I had no criticism about the logic of the move if it would happen as a discussion on a WHAT IF Thread. I Mocked the uselessness of a post.

And your reasoning was to eliminate your need for ILB investment in the draft. AGAIN I MOCK YOU for making that statement cause getting a kid who has been failing n get him on the cheap...YOU WILL NOT CHANGE ANY DRAFT PLAN - He's just another kid coming into camp with a possible Reward for little Risk...Its not a OH I GOT MY STARTER...THAT NEED TO DRAFT IS NOT THERE.

Now you got the gall to brag about it. It was irrelevant to a mock..it was beyond PRETEND even for a PRETEND DRAFT. It was in my mind SILLY But to take negotiating time n discussion...man if you don't get the mocking then sorry you put Steeler Nation on less respect. Btw the Browns traded a 2014 3rd round pick for QB Rivers... I mean if we are in some PRETEND MODE. GET IT?

I was monitoring, but thanks for the assist. I definitely was taking Will Davis there as I'm shocked he dropped all the way to 122. I wasn't planning on taking another CB, but I have him much higher than here (maybe i'm just crazy, but he is a big reason that his coach is now at Wisconsin).

Tennessee had a trade with GB which involved a compensatory pick at the end of the 5th. Those aren't supposed to be traded. Can you guys work something out?

I would be happy with that draft. I may not have chosen the exact player you did at CB ( I would have taken Poyer ahead of Wilson) but that's just my opinion. I would consider that a very succesful draft.

OK, yoshi's time is up. Here are Chicago's picks so far. This is the fourth round, so 2 votes gets the pick.

30. CHI (f/ ATL) - 4yikes2yoshi0 - Arthur Brown, OLB, Kansas State
50. Chicago Bears- 4yikes2yoshi0 - Dallas Thomas, OL Tenn
92. CHI (f/ ATL)- 4yikes2yoshi0 - Jordan Reed, TE Miami
20(117) Bears - 4yikes2yoshi0 - Jonathan Bostic, ILB Florida

I could see a defensive tackle, a center, a corner, or a backup/developmental QB.

Or if there's a BPA you think needs to get picked, suggest that.

I second the Landry Jones pick. He, Dysert and Scott are the best QBs available and they need at least a backup QB if not a starter in case Cutler doesn't work out in the new offense and a contract year. They don't have many other glaring weaknesses. And this is good value.

So, last year the second Friday before the draft, we were on pick 148.

The difference is, last year we started 2 weeks earlier!

Overall, doing a great job keeping up, especially some particular posters. Sending your board in really helps move this along. We're clearly going to finish before the draft.

Thanks, guys!

I agree. I appreciate your organization clevesteve. I had never done this until this year, and I am enjoying it. Plus, it really forces me to get to know all of the mid/late round guys. I will enjoy watching the draft so much more now.

Maybe at some point we can recall that thread, if possible and discuss it, I was pretty stoked because, I can't remember exactly but I drafted something like 14 players, (2 teams), and something like 8 of them went in the first two real rounds. (after that NObody). needless pointless bragging,

I see...sorry about that...I dont have computer access as frequent on weekends as I do on weekdays. I should be getting my Home system, desk, etc. soon as I just got my Sandy Insurance check finally. But this draft will be over by then.

Going to church soon I'll try to leave you 3 picks - it'd be nice if that Taken List can be updated.

The Bears desperately need offensive line help. They can't take enough linemen. Also, they will be looking for LBs in my opinion.

GSA,
Nice pick of DeVonte Holloman, LB, South Carolina; just seems like a Ravens linebacker. I can see him playing right away, maybe not the starter, but a lot of playing time.

whoops. I screwed up yesterday. It's detroit OTC, not chicago.

Here are their picks so far:

5. DET - 4yikes2yoshi0 - Lane Johnson, OT Oklahoma
36. Detroit - 4yikes2yoshio - Larry Warford OG, Kentucky
65. Detroit Lions- 4yikes2yoshi0 - DJ Hayden, CB Houston
35(132) Lions (Comp) - 4yikes2yoshi0 - Devin Taylor, DE South Carolina
4(137) Lions - 4yikes2yoshi0 - Chris Harper, WR Kansas St

I suggest another DE. Maybe Brandon Bass?

Sounds good to me. Any D-lineman or Dback

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Times up for the Giants. Here are their pick so far:

19. NYG* - THROW LONG Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
49. New York Giants- THROW LONG - Alex Okafor, DE TX
81. New York Giants - THROW LONG - Bacarri Rambo, FS Georgia
19(116) Giants - THROW LONG Jamie Collins OLB, Southern Miss
19(152) Giants - THROW LONG, Nick Kasa, TE Colorado

IMO, they still need a MLB. Either Jonathan Stewart from TxA&M or Vince Williams from FSU would make sense. Bruce Taylor from Va Tech another option.

Drafttek has Jonathan Stewart ranked highest so he would seem to make sense. i don't know how reliable their rankings are.

I could see RT or CB as well but I think MLB is a solid choice. I'm ok with Stewart, though I do know that Steve Beauharnais from Rutgers had a visit with them.

Its more than 3 hours for Oakland, so I'll make a suggestion.

I believe they've only had 2 picks so far.
3. OAK - anarchy2day - Sharrif Floyd, DT Florida
66. Oakland Raiders - anarchy2day - Corey Lemonier, DE Auburn

I know they can use OL (RT and both Guards) help, so I'll suggest either the highest rated OT or OG from CBS:
Garrett Gilkey, OT, Chadron State
Jeff Baca, OG, UCLA

Bills pick by way of Seattle to Vikings...I'm like hey who traded my pick away...then realized Oh that was the real teams...lol

Clevesteve n others - great job. Could have done without all the trading but still very interesting. Thanks I had fun.

My son is very happy with the Cowboy draft. He wishes it would go that way...1st pick DE the rest went to OL n RB - you sign a QB for 50mil + guarantee - got to get an OL to protect him.

Buffalo...The only REAL NY TEAM...man sorry but they are worse off then we are. I think truly they are going for a Sand Bag season to get an amazing QB next year.

Said it back in November when I first saw him...The next great QB Bridgewater.

So I did them a disservice taking Wilson. Who I think is a great investment for us 3rd or 4th round!

JMHO Who will be Mr. Irrelevant? K? Lalich QB?

If you're talking as part of this mock draft, neither of those. I know who I have slated for it and I'm guessing he's not on many draft boards. I'll put up a Browns t-shirt for anyone who would guess it - with the caveat that people can only guess one player...

Funny that you say that, I was going to ask for Garrett Gilkey.

I've been away for a while at a social engagement that my wife promised me to attend (and we had to pay for) so I was at the event and unable to check in.

The Jets finished this draft with

Lost : Mark Sanchez, Darrelle Revis

Added :

Josh Freeman (T)
Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU (1)
Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford (2)
Shawn Williams, SS, Georgia (3)
Leon McFadden, CB, San Diego State (3)
Stephan Taylor, RB, Stanford (4)
Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma (5)
Ryan Jensen, OG, Colorado State-Pueblo (6)
Adam Replogle, DE, Indiana (7)
+2014 First Round pick from New England

I would think Jets fans would be EXTREMELY happy if they were able to actually pull something like this off.

Terrell Brown, OL, Ole Miss

Mr. Irrelevant tripling the intrigue as the tallest (6'10") and heaviest (388lbs) player in the draft?

I don't know, Kruger (and his brother... listen to his presser) fancies himself an OLB. Dawkins at 6'2" under 300 I think is a bit small as a 3-4 end.

How about the Discus Thrower Okoye? He's 6'5" 304. It's the 7th round. Why not?

Well the Browns' draft is now complete:

Tyler Eifert, TE Notre Dame
Eric Reid, FS LSU
Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB UConn
Brian Winters, OG Kent State
Trevardo Williams, OLB UConn
Brandon McGee, CB Miami
Andre Ellington, RB Clemson
Aaron Mellette, WR Elon
Zac Dysert, QB Miami (OH)
Kyle Juszczyk, FB Harvard
Eric Herman, OG Ohio
Keith Pough, LB Howard

I wouldn't be terribly upset with this draft. I tried to fill needs while also keeping near the BPA. Now watch us not draft ONE of these guys haha

CBS says Sam Brenner, OG Utah (#235) then Josh Kline, OG Kent State (#245). First OC is Dalton Freeman from Clemson at prospect #267. Have been using CBS to mark guys off, so I don't have any other frame of reference at this point.

They signed David Akers. I think they need OLB more than PK. Just my opinion.

Lerentee McCray, OLB, Florida

Though to move it forward, I'm ok with PK.

Titans draft (if someone is doing the wrapup at the end, this will make it easier if we each do our own team and post it here):

10: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
40: Kevin Minter, LB, LSU
70: Jordan Poyer, CB, OrState
97: Stedman Bailey, WR, WVU
122: Will Davis, CB, Utah State
142: Chris Faulk, OL, LSU
159: Christine Michael, RB, Tx A&M
193: Sean Renfree, QB, Duke
202: Chris Gragg, TE, Ark
216: PJ Lonergan, OL, LSU
232: Joe Kruger, DE, Utah
248: Jakar Hamilton, S, SC State

12 rookies is alot for one team to carry. But, the Titans certainly need the upgrade in depth and a draft like this one might do the trick.

My focus was obviously on fixing their broken defense. I hope that Star and Minter could help out that horrid rush defense and Poyer could actually cover a slot WR for them. After that, their team is in such rough shape right now that I just tried to get value depth everywhere. QB3, TE2, RB3, etc. Though I could see Lonergan and Faulk competing for starting places on their interior OL.

First, thanks clevesteve for this, it was fun yet again.

Second, after the draft is over, I'll do a comparison of how everyone did versus the actual. I'm not sure exactly how I'll do it yet - points for being right pick, right round, actual vs mock position, etc...

Patriots Draft

1(9) Tavon Austin - Patriots trade with Jets for dynamic threat for Tom Brady
2(59) Tyrann Mathieu - Patriots get dynamic slot man and return man
7(226) Levine Toilolo - Huge TE Target, give some Gronk insurance
7(235) Quinton Dial - Underachieving Alabama 5T guy who has the requisite athleticism

lost the 2014 first round pick as well as 2013 third rounder in trade for Austin.

Overall I'm ok with this. Brady would be lethal with Austin and it would open up the middle of the field for his TEs and Amendola. Honey Badger was not known to have been hit with more than 10 positive tests at the time of the pick so I'm not as happy with that one now.

Only 5 picks overall going in and only 4 players chosen. It's a team poised for another championship. Do what you can to get back to the SuperBowl while Brady is still there and healthy.

it's probably way too much work, but I have seen some places do it where they add up people's points based on the draft value chart. if you pick someone lower than their actual pick, you get the value point difference added to your score. if you pick someone higher in the draft than the actual pick, then you have the value point difference subtracted from your score.

Falcons draft:

1. Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington - biggest need filled with an elite talent.
2. Tank Carradine, DE, FSU - great compliment for Osi, awesome value.
4. Jelani Jenkins, OLB, Florida - great OLB to go with Weatherspoon.
5. Kevin Reddick, ILB, UNC - rounds off the LB core and front 7 really well.
6. Edmund Kugbila, OL, Valdosta State - SAT scores kept him out of elite schools.
7. Emmett Cleary, OT, Boston College - need tackle depth with Clabo gone and Lamar Holmes promoted to starter.
7. T.J. Barnes, DT, Georgia Tech - quality defensive line depth is always welcome.
7. Sanders Commings, CB, UGA - quality defensive back depth is always welcome, especially against the Saints.
7. Jason Weaver, OT, Southern Mississippi - Lamar Holmes' former teammate, more offensive tackle depth.

Lost a 2014 4th round pick (small price to pay to ensure Desmond Trufant)

A Super Bowl contending team fills all of its major needs with quality talent.

good idea, though there's a bit of an unfair advantage to the first round. I mean KC is pretty much guaranteed 1300 points, because I see no way Joeckel drops below #5... and a team like Seattle without a first rounder would be hard pressed to make up that many points.

I'll play with it, should be pretty simple in Excel, 2 or 3 formulas.

I was thinking of a sliding scale, but something more like
25 points if you got it right,
15 if you were one off on the good side, -1 if off on the bad side
10 if you were 2 off on the good side, -2 if off on the bad side
9 if you were 3 off on the good side, -3 if off on the bad side
and so on with a max of maybe -32 for more than around off on the bad side.

Just thinking out loud.

Ravens draft:

1. Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff - It's hard to find a franchise left tackle and Flacco needs protection. This guy has the tools and appears to be a gem.
2. Shamarko Thomas, SS, Syracuse - A Bob Sanders clone. Needed a replacement for Bernard Pollard. Will make a great partner for Michael Huff.
3. Markus Wheaton, WR, Oregon State - great value and will round off the receiver core well with Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones.
4. Brandon Williams, NT, Missouri Southern - Terrence Cody has been a disappointment and this is just great value.
4. Gerald Hodges, LB, Penn State - lot of question marks at ILB for Ravens. This converted safety will make a great compliment for the two McClains.
5. DeVonte Holloman, LB, South Carolina - another converted safety. Might be better than Hodges. Suddenly ILB is a team strength again.
5. Braxston Cave, C, Notre Dame - Gino Gradkowski needs some competition and the position needs some depth.
6. Michael Buchanan, OLB, Illinois - never can have too many pass rushers. This is solid value.
6. Mike Gillislee, RB, Florida - pure luxury pick. Will add depth and versatility to the offensive backfield and special teams.
6. Ryan Otten, TE, San Jose State - another luxury pick. Adds some nice depth in addition to Pitta and Dickson.
7. Rogers Gaines, OT, Tennessee State - athletic left tackle type. Good project and depth.
7. Nickell Roby, CB, USC - cornerback depth is always welcome.

Defense gets younger, faster, and likely better than it was last year. The offensive line gets some depth and has some talented young replacements for the lost veterans. Boldin will be missed, but Wheaton will add an explosive weapon for Flacco. Overall, the Ravens are poised to defend their crown and, as per usual, have as good a chance as anybody to win it all.

The unfair advantage is the other way in my method. KC would get zero points for getting Joeckel correct, negative for each slot he drops. The difference that is.

But if you put in the effort do it the way you like best

San Francisco 49ers Draft

I know everyone has their way of doing things. I know some thought maybe it was better to move up higher in the first round since the Niners had so many picks for this draft. With as much talent as they have and also so many picks, my initial thought would be to try to work a trade for a 1st rounder for next year and just fill the team with depth with the remaining picks this year.

My thought was to get trade some of the picks and move up to get another high quality pick instead of just one.
actually i really liked the picks made, I think there is a ton of potential, but also a few question marks on health status on a couple. The only I would've liked to of added was some Linebacker help or maybe picked a TE earlier in the draft.

*Traded picks 2nd (#61), 3rd (#74), 6th (#175) to Carolina for a 1st rounder (#29)

1st
29. FS Jonathan Cyprien, Florida International - Very physical safety, good ball skills safety
31. DE Margus Hunt, SMU - Very strong, quick DE...projects to be a boom or bust candidate. Would have him learn and rotate in for Justin Smith his rookie season.

2nd
34. WR Keenan Allen, Cal - coming off a PCL injury this past season, experienced route runner, great hands would work in the slot with Crabtree and Boldin on the outsides.

3rd
93. RB Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina - one of my favorite picks, One of the top Rb's in college when healthy. Very strong, powerful...picked him b/c looks like a Frank Gore clone. Just like Frank knee issues in college. Marcus could keep strengthening the knee this year while Gore starts then take over the reins next year.

4th
128. OT Reid Fragel, Ohio State - Former TE, last year was his first year playing OT and played very well for OSU. Very athletic and still learning the position.
131. DE William Gholston, Michigan State - great athletic ability and strength, needs to learn more pass rush techniques

5th
157. QB Matt Scott, Arizona - great value in my opinion, 3rd string QB sitting and learning the offense. Very mobile and good arm.

6th
180. SS Cody Davis, Texas Tech - great in the box tackling safety, led the Big 12 in avg solo tackles last year. Not much ball hawking skills...probably slated for special teams

7th
237. CB Travis Howard, Ohio State - good ball skills, needs to be way more consistent
246. K Dustin Hopkins, FSU - top kicker in the draft, it's the 7th round, might as well draft him and bring him in to challenge Phil.
252. TE Luke Wilson, Rice

Aah, for some reason I was thinking you meant subtract actual from mock in the draft value chart, which now that I think about it makes no sense.

I'll blame on a 75 hour week last week.

Minnesota Vikings 2013 Mock Draft

My draft for the Minnesota Vikings filled each of their pressing needs, without over reaching, as most players were rated at or above the slot selected.
23 (1). DT Sylvester Williams, North Carolina - Kevin Williams needs some help on the interor D-line and Sly can collapse the pocket.
28 (1). MLB Alec Ogletree, Georgia - Olgetree fits the Derrick Brooks role, in this defensive scheme. He will roam with his sideline to sideline speed.
52 (2). WR Terrence Williams, Baylor - This big receiver and large catch radius is also a downfield threat to put opposite Jennings that will increase Ponder's completion percantage and big play ability. Williams will also keep the safeties honest to allow AP to get deeper into the secondary.
64 (3). CB B.W. Webb, William & Mary - This elite athlete has the skills to be a true shutdown corner, especially with the Vikings pass rush.
83 (3). CB Robert Alford, S.E. Louisiana - The secondary continues to be fortified, with this solid #2 or #3 corner.
125 (4). DE/LB Brandon Jenkins, Fla. State - Talented pass rusher will be in the rotation, with Robison, this year and possibly replacing Robison, next year.
161 (5). SS Earl Wolff, N.C. State - Another athletic player to pair with Harrison Smith.
169 (6). OG Earl Watford, James Madison - Already having two very good tackles, Watford immediately improves the weakest link of this offensive line.
214 (7). DT Bennie Logan, L.S.U. - Vikings snatch up this big man to stuff the middle and rotate with and keep clean, the Williams boys. Great value, this late.

Drastic improvement defensively, adding two corners that may be #1 and #2, by end of year, certainly #2 and #3. Safety Earl Wolff should step right in, as a starter. Two defensive tackles to rotate with Kevin Williams, keeping him fresher and more productive. A playmaking sideline to sideline MLB and a pass rushing, rotational defensive end.
Offensively adding a big play receiver that can also move the chains and a solid starting guard. Both will also, help AP and enhance Ponder's developement.
