some of you amaze me.....you really do....saying we will find a starting corner back in the 3rd or 4th round????????? starter for what??? special teams?!?!

Are you going to challenge us to find a starting CB taken in the 3 round or later in the past 10 years?

Or do you want to do the research before having to eat your words?

Up to you.

YES PLEASE DO...go ahead and show me how many 3rd rounders have been pro bowl caliber cb's from the past 10 years......please do buddy.......and then do me one more favor.....also make me a list of how many 3rd round corners in the past 10 years are nothing more then special teams or nickle backs at best...or even out of football.....wanna bet which list is longer????

Horton has said from the begining that he wants to attack. You don't attack with CB's you attack with pass rushers. Name an elite corner for Pittsburgh or Baltimore. They don't have them. Good pick

Did Horton say this before or after Zona picked Pererson?

I don't need to show you a ton, though I can keep going. It's possible to find a Pro Bowl corner in the 3rd round and beyond. And if it's possible to find a Pro Bowler, you can find servicable starters too. Stop already.

Okay, fine....one more. And Brent Grimes to the list of CBs that weren't drafted in the first two rounds that eventually went to the Pro Bowl and is starting right now.

Yes they will take Jarvis and he will be every bit as good as Mingo from a production standpoint.

I'm not sure what to think of our pick.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I do have a feeling that the Steelers will go with Jarvis Jones.

Come on man, we can't give him too many examples of starting 3rd round or later CBs. It would calm him down and provide hope for our pick tomorrow night. It's fun having the guy freak out about how worthless rounds 3 through 7 are.

I wanted to include Tim Jennings, but he was a 2nd rounder (pick 62). That's like light years away from the 3rd round.

Jarvis Jones to the Steelers.

I said all along that he is the prototypical Steelers OLB.

Not to instigate, but I believe all the Pro Bowl corners for the NFC last season (except for Tillman, who was drafted in the 2nd round) were selected in the later rounds....

What a load of crock. You've been bashing the new guys since day one. More of the same manufactured BS by you.

Why do we need a Pro Bowler as our number 2 corner?

Seriously, you are saying we need a Pro Bowler as our number 2 freaking corner? Get freaking real or get freaking lost!

I do think that the Steelers will line up Jones opposite Woodley on 3rd down and tell him to go get the QB.

I actually think that this is how we will use Mingo at first as well.

The real truth is we don't need a probowler as our #2 CB. I've mentioned it before, what team has 2 top 10 CB's that they drafted? No one wants to be paying both of those guys their 2nd contract at the same time. One of them will go.

A good, solid starter as our #2 is what we need and if one cared to, I'm sure one could find dozens upon dozens of proven, quality starters at that position taken in the 3rd and beyond.

slick just had his heart set on the unrealistic wish to have Joe an Dee both. It would be badass, but it's a lot like wishing for a Corvette for Christmas.

A lot of negativity towards our draft on this board, and I understand that, given the built-in hatred for the new FO....but what really strikes me in the draft thus far is how many teams are drafting guys at positions where they created the need themselves.

KC, the Jets, SF, Detroit, etc all drafted guys at positions where they created their own need by letting a guy go.

And our fans are complaining.

Dang Vers, you beat me to the point. But he ain't gonna listen no matter who or how many make perfect sense. None of it makes sense to him. He is, after all, the only fan or FO member who's noticed we need a CB opposite Joe. Gotta give him that.

i guess in 3 years we will see... I'm going record as saying that i think our pick is a head scratcher... I am concerned about the quality we have already vs how we would have progressed with a quality player drafted at other positions.

It's out of my hands now... I hope it works out and he gets 100 sacks in his career.

Guys, I wanted Milliner too. I am somewhat disappointed. I also was hoping for a trade down. That disappoints me a bit.

But, I am damn glad we took Mingo over guys like Jones. I also think he has far fewer questions than guys like Ansah.

Again, I am not thrilled w/the pick, but I sure as heck ain't disappointed. Anyone who goes off and rips the FO on this pick is obviously just a hater who was going to rip them no matter what.

Man, the run on OL is incredible.

It would not surprise me to see the Browns try to trade back into the 2nd round to maybe get a CB or TE.

I'm not a hater but man heyward or milliner at CB would have made a lot more sense. just don't see the need to even draft a OLB in the first place.

I almost think Horten placed certain demands on the team in reguards to FA and the draft to sign with us. The guy better stick around 3-4 years after the team has given him everything he could possibly want.

Hell Cooper or warmack would have made more sense than this pick.
