According to NFL.com these are the remaining top talents and their rating. I'm struggling to find a complete list.

http://www.nfl.com/m/draft/2013/tracker/round/3
Williams, Jesse (DT)Alabama85.5
Okafor, Alex (DE)Texas85.2
Patton, Quinton (WR)Louisiana Tech83.8
Wilson, Tyler (QB)Arkansas83.5
Dysert, Zac (QB)Miami (OH)83.5
Jenkins, Brandon (DE)Florida St.82.9
Barkley, Matt (QB)USC82.0
Randle, Joseph (RB)Oklahoma St.80.6
Ellington, Andre (RB)Clemson79.7
Thomas, Chase (OLB)Stanford79.4

Of that list there's really no one at a position of need... Namely a safety.
If you look at best player available then maybe Okafor. The guy was a beast every time I saw him. It would give us insane depth but maybe the chance to trade Sheard (not that I'm advocating that) for a future pick. Helping build the war chest for a move to the top for a QB. (Not that I'm saying Weeden can't be that guy. Not that I'm saying Weeden is that guy...there did I cover everyone as to not start a fight?)
Ideas?

A.) Phillip Thomas
B.) Bacarri Rambo
C.) Earl Wolff

The 4th round is flush with quality safeties

Hard not to see us taking a flier on Wilson, at least I would.

Really like Rambo.

Outside of that...we'll see.

you had a good run Hank.

I'd love any of those three, but would prefer them in that order. I'd also like to grab Marcus Lattimore after getting a safety if he's there at the time. Even being injury prone, he's well worth a 5th round pick. If he can get/stay healthy, he and Richardson would be a great 1-2 punch.

Well, Lombardi really laid out 3 positions in his presser tonight, that he said the team really wanted to concentrate on ....... defensive line, defensive back, and offensive line. He was asked if they thought about a QB in the 3rd, and he said flatly, "No".

Always interesting to see who falls past the 3rd round, especially those who were highly touted coming into the draft. Then again it is mostly hype from journalists.

I'd like to shore up the OL on Saturday and pick up a safety.

Pretty bad list, not grounded in reality. Lot of qbs who will at best be back ups in the NFL.

We probably would have drafted Barkley 4th overall if he had come out last year. Now he is available in the 4th round. Crazy.

Thank God he didn't come out last year. I wanted no part of him then, and I want no part of him this year.

This is exactly why someone should ALWAYS come out if their projected to go high in a professional sports draft. With the money he could have signed for last year, he could have been set for life regardless busting out on the field (assuming they are smart with the money). By staying one extra year and "enjoying life on campus", it cost him millions.

Sure, he could earn it all back with great play, but it's going to be a long tough road for that.

My best of the rest....

QB. Tyler Bray. Best arm talent in the draft.
Ryan Griffin. Just like this kid.

RB/FB. Joseph Randle. Does everything well but nothing spectacular. Has some versatility, can line up as a slot guy.
Kenjon Barner. Could be a Darren Sproles type. Not a every down runner.
Kyle Juszczyk. O.K. blocker, but does catch the ball very well. Good athlete for a FB.
Tommy Bohanon. True FB.
Kyler Reed. SLEEPER. Not sure how you play this guy. He runs very well and catches the ball. Great athlete.

WR/TE. Dion Sims. More athletic then I thought. Solid guy.
Lucas Reed. SLEEPER. Brooks Reed's brother. Very athletic(4.65 40, 37" vert.) and big(6-6, 250) TE.
Kenny Stills. I see him as a poor man's Mike Wallace.
Chris Harper. I see him as a poor man's Anquan Boldin.
Rodney Smith. SLEEPER. Big, tall(6-5 225) WR who can run(4.43 40).
Brice Butler. I admit I don't know much about this kid, but his measurables are off the charts. 6-3 214lbs, 4.37 40, 39" vert.. DARKHORSE.

OL. Garrett Gilkey. Guard or Tackle.
Xavier Nixon. Good tackle.
Rogers Gaines. Really like his game.

DL. William Gholston. Not really a sack guy, but what he does well is stack and shed.
Nicholas Williams. Big guy(6-5, 304) who can run(4.84 40).

LB. Jonathan Stewart. Late round guy who can run(4.55 at his pro-day).
Brandon Hepburn. Another late round guy who can run(4.54 at his pro-day).
Chase Thomas. Not as athletic as I thought, but very instinctive and I could see him fitting in at ILB because of that. Could be a good blitzer from in there.
Stevan Means. UDFA guy who I really like as a fit to what were going to do on defense.

CB. Terry Hawthorne. Like his size and speed.
Jordan Poyer. Thought this guy would slip a little but not this far.
Sanders Commings. Poor man's Peterson.

S. Josh Evans. Solid guy.
Earl Wolff. This guy isn't very tall but is so athletic I could see him playing a hybrid corner/safety role. I think he can cover the slot as well.

I am very surprised that Jones is still available. He is versatile, having played all 3 OL positions. If both he and Barkley where still on the board, I would be very pleased to have either. In fact, I would like to see us move up to ensure that we get one of the two. Someone else to consider would be the TE Dion Sims (good blocker, questionable hands)...

Kinda surprised Nassib wasn't on that list? He didn't get drafted yesterday did he? Did I miss it?

Worth mentioning they brought in Don Jones for an evaluation. I'd be surprised if they had him ahead of the safeties available though.

Anyone have a list of remaining guys they brought in for private workouts?

Good post great info...I think Kenny Stills can be this year's Chris Givens...I like Rodney Smith as a late gem...When I watched Bohanan at Wake...I saw him catch and run and for a FB he reminded me of Wes Weller...as I was in shock of how good agility he has for a FB....tho he compares nothing to Welker...blocks well too...never thought Poyer would be still around at this point...Gholston is ideal for a 3-4...but we might have too many there already...hope Baltimore or Pittsburgh doesn't nab him...I like a lot of the backs too Randle and the Barn Owl (barner) some teams will get very lucky

That's a pretty sweeping statement. Of course none of them grade out as first or second rounders or they'd be gone. But they all have potential.

Was just with you

That said, I don't want any part of Jefferson, he's an alibi-player like S.Williams who I was pumped going to the Bengals. Rah-rah players with little to no game imho. Whoever plays TE for us should own him.

Jessie Williams NT Alabama is a very intriging pick. Not at a position of huge need but I can see him fitting that BPA tag. A NT tackle with 5 tech ability. He even lined up as full back for Alabama in goalline situations.

I also expect the Browns to draft an Offenise guard sometime today. Starting guards are often found in the late rounds. That would be a value pick for the late rounds.

I hop on a plane heading to Columbus in a couple hours. I'll miss the rest of the draft. Can't wait to log on later and see what's happened! Also can't wait to see my family. It's been three years. Too long.

Would like to get Rambo or Evans, Bohannon, and a beast of a guard to wedge between Thomas & Mack.

I don't know... Neither may be there in the 5th, I'd go with Evans in the 4th, but if Evans is off the board, I'd take the guard.

Trade was ok, just wished the Steelers would have continued to make bad picks.

S.Thomas will learn and take over for Pola, only downside to his play are injuries and I just can't wish him that, not even as a Steeler.

We have no control over who they pick, but it puts us in a decent position next year if we need to barter some picks to go at a guy or two we really want in the first three rounds. Besides, I don't mind that the regime is taking a year to get to know the roster before they go out and grab a bunch of late round guys just for the sake of it.

I agree Cal. You bring in new guys, chances are they stick and others go before you really have a feel for their ability.

It makes a lot of sense to me.

Some people are crying like those 4th and 5th rounders were going to step in and be rookies of the year.

I like the fact we are building a bank of picks for next season. At that point Chud and company will know who can play for them and who can't. Simply adding number to the roster makes their job harder, and you don't ~ant to cut newly drafted players.

Good move by the team IMO.

If you look at the picks we have next year, we have the ammo to plug any need with a new stud. We'll be in a much better position to assess what we need after next season. Stockpiling those picks was an excellent move.
