Man, that really doesn't make sense at all. Philly got Noel and a 2014 "lightly protected" pick for Holiday and a 2nd rounder? I don't get that trade at all.

I didn't understand one word the kid said. Nevertheless, I can't judge this pick. I can admit I didn't expect either pick at all, and I probably still would have gone Porter at #1 and then one of the Centers later.

I'm usually one to sit and wait, and not really judge a draft right away ... but we went into the draft with a #1 and #19 pick, plus a need for a true center and SF ... and we walk away with a logjam at PF, and still no true center or SF.

I'm usually wrong about these drafts I can admit, but Porter or Oladipo just made more sense at #1 if they were going the forward route.
They didn't have to take Noel to please me but this pick leaves me disappointed to the extreme.

Oladipo is a shooting guard as he is 6'4.
Grant just went with who he thought was the most talented. When you're drafting first you have to go for broke, and not look at a need. It may blow up in his face, but it was the right thing to do if you ask me.

you really think he would've helped his draft stock by going back to school? Thomas is a system guy, and needs to go to a contender. I think he could be instant offense off the bench, but he is slow with not much athleticism to make him a lottery pick. San Antonio would be a perfect fit for his game. Miami too.

As noted, Oladipo is only 6'4". He'll never be a full time small forward.
I also don't like his shooting. I think that Bennett is a better shooter.

I watched a video on Karasev on the PD site and was really impressed with his shot. A real pure lefty. Hopefully Irving will be able to find him for open shots.
He can also pass. Pretty intriguing guy.
