Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Weeden.

I'm not sure what your problem is.
Final question -- do you have to have to have a mobile QB to run the Pistol?
(From your comments I can't tell).

I don't have any problems; just opportunities for solutions. Let it go, man...

I'm just not sure why you are so reluctant to admit you were wrong.

Great post. This is the information I'm looking for. Naturally, I'm wondering if these short yardage plays can be done with the QB in the Pistol, but I understand we haven't seen enough of it yet to say for sure. But we could speculate. If the dive play is going to the FB, I can see how this might be a problem if the QB is lined up next to the FB. Perhaps it would take away from his momentum? You would know better than me. But if the ball is going to the TB, I don't see any immediate reason why the Pistol formation would hamper the effectiveness of the play. The TB still gets the ball with momentum, only it's in his hands much quicker. I don't know -- just typing as I think, which is probably a bad thing.

Who wants to talk about QBs?
Come on .... we never have any QB debates here in Cleveland.

The odd thing in this case is it actually exists in a QB thread!
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Hong Kong Phooey. I have no idea why that popped into my head ..... but the theme song just started playing ......
