You could call it "Good Monday" as far as I"m concerned - doesn't change the fact of what is honored, and what is celebrated.
Not to throw, God forbid, "religion" into the mix, but for those asking questions about the 3 days thing, and dying on friday, and rising less than 3 days later....and all that stuff.........................has it ever occurred to you that in todays world, we plan celebrations around weekends? We really do.........I'm not one that really needs to know the exact date and time of death.....nor do I need to know the precise moment Jesus arose from the dead........what I need to know is it happened. I do not care if he died on a Tuesday, or any day, for that matter, and I don't care what day he arose on either.......What matters is that it happened, according to my beliefs.
Now, as for the "Easter" holiday, yeah, regardless of what truly happened, it is, as of now, celebrated at the current time. Big deal. My daughter has a birthday in July, yet they celebrate her "unbirthday" during the school year. Is that reason enough to think my daughter wasn't born? I mean, if the celebration at school is not on the precise date of her birth, does that mean she wasn't born?
Happy Easter to all, and remember, Jesus died for you, me, him and her..... Believe and faith are one thing, and those that believe also have faith. In my opinon.
