Some good conversation here. I'll just grab your take and add my comments.

QB: Weeden, Campbell, Hoyer. All will make the team. The Browns have said that they will keep 3 QBs, and all have all done well this preseason. Sure things: 3

Agreed

RB: Richardson, Definitely on the team. Jackson probably makes the team. Cook might make the team until other teams cuts hit. I wouldn't get too overly comfortable if I was a RB not named Trent. Sure thing: 1

I'd say Jackson is a sure thing. Somebody from the unit is going to make the team, and IMO Jackson is the guy. He is the only guy standing that looks like he could carry the load if required. He isn't as good as TR, but he is all we have.

FB: Ogbonnaya. Done deal. He's here. Smelley could make the team, but again pobably shouldn;t get too comfortable. Sure thing: 1

Agreed. Smelley's chances might be increased if the Browns start to think about Oggie playing more at the tail. Smelley might not be a lock, but I'd say he is pretty solidly in place.

TE: The top 3 will make the team. Cameron, Barnidge, and Davis are all fairly safe for now. Sure things: 3

Pretty much agree. Davis could be on a bit of a bubble. Smelly might flex to this position...our Jack of All Trades guy.

WR: Little, Benjamin, and Bess make the team. Gordon will be on the suspended list, and will not count against the roster. Cooper and Nelson might make it out of camp, but would be foolish to go house shopping or anything like that. I think that we will look hard at the WR position in cuts and possible trades. Sure things: 3 (plus Gordon)

Agreed

OL: Thomas, Greco, Mack, Cousins, and Schwartz will all make the team. Everyone else is a question mark. Pinkston and Lauvao should make the team, but one might be IR'd. The backups didn't cover themselves in glory in the preseason. Gilkey gets a possible because he's huge, and is a drat pick. He could go to the practice squad though. Sure thing: 6 + 1? I still think that Pinkston or Lauvao could wind up on one IR list or the other. I think that we look hard for a Guard in the cuts, or in a trade.

I don't know about the IR stuff, but I'd add Gilkey as a lock. He has played solidly. We aren't letting him go and there is enough positive tape of him that we would lose him if we placed him on the practice squad. I don't even think he would get that far. Some team would grab him on a waiver claim. Gilkey stays.

DL: We have so much quality depth here that it's almost scary. Definitely making the team are Rubin, Taylor, Bryant, Winn, Hughes, and Kitchen. Maybe is A. Bryant. We might still be able to trade a guy like Sanford if a team wants a solid rotation guy and doesn't want to take a chance that they can get him on waivers. Who knows? Sure thing 6. Solid chance: A. Bryant.

I think we will go with 7 D lineman, so Bryant sticks.

LB: This went from a huge question mark to a huge position of strength in a single offseason. Kruger, Sheard, Mingo, Groves, Robertson, DQ, and Fort are all sure things. Carder and Cole may have played their ways on to the team. Sure things: 7, with 2 guys with a strong chance.

Sounds about right to me....I think Carder sticks for his ST play.

DB: Hard to know. Haden, McFadden, Owens, Skrine, Ward, Gipson, and Bademosi are all sure in my eyes. I think that Aubry and Kanneh have solid shots. Sure things: 7 with 2 Solid Chance guys.

Sounds about right to me. I think a few of the parts are interchangable, so it's possible a different name sticks.

The 3 specialists are almost certainly locks at this point unless some superstar P or K hits the market. Lanning, Graham and Yount are all Sure Things. Sure things: 3

Probably so.....maybe Bogotay for Graham. Not sure what his (Bogotay) health status is at this point. If he and Graham are fairly equal, I'd rather keep the younger Bogotay even if he misses a few kicks Graham might make....we are still building for the future, so I could see that swap.

Yea...I think you're pretty close to spot on there.

Staples getting cut makes me hope he makes it to PS, Kaneeh also

Seeing Nelson cut this morning makes me feel as though Gurley may have a spot? or if we'll roll with just Cooper and leave the TEs to be the big red zone targets.

Seeing Cook cut this morning (just something I've heard, not seen a report/story about it) makes me wonder about what we're going to do with the RB spot.

I had a feeling that we were looking at another RB in the final cuts. Cook just never showed any burst, which isn't surprising since he never really showed great burst at YSU. He was a good college RB, but not really a guy with skills that would appear ro translate to the NFL. (and you have no idea how hard it is to say that stuff about a fellow Penguin)

Beanie Wells is still out there but is he healthy? Not suggesting we get him, just asking
