I see some major personnel changes coming. I don't think that the coaching staff is going to change. They just gave Brown a huge contract. He's not going anywhere.

I'll tell you one thing that really confuses the hell out of me ....... and that is this:

What happened to Tristan Thompson? He was a double double machine ...... until 5 games or so ago.

In the past 5 games he has scored 2, 12, 5, 4. and 2 points. His minutes have dropped from 40 per or so to 25 or so ..... and to me, this is a kid who has earned his minutes on the court, and pulling him to this extent just blows my mind.

What happened to TT is Mike Brown and his staff have undone all the work he put in this summer. It's funny you noticed it to because i was just talking to my brother about it this weekend that TT has regressed big time from what we saw in the beginning. I attribute it to Mike Browns famous square hole round peg system he's got going.

Bynum is just gonna tease us all year.

He had 20 & 10, 5 blocks and 3 assists

Waiters had a GREAT game.

Bynum looked 10x better than he has all season, I think its part confidence his knees aren't going to crumble and part they finally realized when you have a dominant center, the offense needs to go through him, especially one that can shoot and pass like AB. He made Noah his bitch tonight...loved it. I'm still concerned about our second unit rotation..man if we can't get deng from chicago I'd take Hinrich and get rid of Jack. Andy doesn't really have a place it seems and he shouldn't EVER be on the floor with Bynum. That was dumb today by brown and almost cost us the game. But waiters looked good as the 6th man now that he's settled in and seems to accepted that he might not start but he'll get starter minutes

Bynum was a beast tonight.

I dunno how he'll do, but he's already given us far more than a lot of people expected.

Bynum, Waiters, and Tristan all played well tonight. Waiters went 8-10 from the court, and 2-2 from the line. I would still like to see him get to the free throw line more often though. He did have a really good game tonight overall though.

I am still worried about Kyrie throwing up shots from all over the place. He went what .. 7-21 from the court tonight? (33% shooting) Overall we went 37-78 (47%) from the court for , but the rest of the team outside of Irving went 30-57 for almost 53%. Our best player has to do better than that. I think that it's his decision making that has to improve. He has to realize that he cannot do it all, and that hitting an open teammate for a shot is just as good as making the shot himself.

Cavs first two game winning streak of the year!

Really nice win. I hope this thing starts to come together. I know Denver was on a back to back, but in the NBA you take what you can get.

That was a really nice game by the Cavaliers.

Man, Tristan with 17 points and 21 boards! Holy crap! he played his ass off!

Andy had a really nice game. He does one really nice thing, and that's that he hits shots and free throws at the end of games. he can also play defense and grab rebounds. He and Tristan had trouble playing together last year, but that doesn't appear to be the case tonight.

Our bigs .... Andy, Tristan, and Bynum ..... accounted for 49 points and 42 boards. The seem to be getting more comfortable with one another.

Dion only had 5 points, but he had 6 assists as well. Kyrie had a nice game, and he shared the ball at the end.

Man, this was the most impressive game for the Cavaliers so far this year. By far.

I would say Trailblazers, but yes, all Nuggets games would fit too.

Oddly enough, I was watching that Where our slang means show last night and they described where the term "trailblazer" came from. In early America as they explored westward, they'd carve a diamond shaped marks on trees they passed, which were very light compared to the bark. They called these marks blaze's to copy the old Scots-Irish term for the common white spot on a horse's face.

I missed the game, so I'm not sure. Irving sure didn't seem to play well at all.

Dion and Bynum played really well. Thompson looks like he played OK. Irving, Miles, Gee,Varejao, Clark and others seem to have disappeared tonight.

I would watch the replay, but it looks rather depressing.

Waiters has certainly found his stroke lately though. He has been good for 20+ in 4 of his last 5 games.

Kyrie is shooting under 40% now. Just a bad start to the year. Hopefully Bynum keeps producing like he has and Dion adapts to his role as a 6th man.

Varejao is AWFUL defensively now. He's giving up the highest FG % out of every center around the rim. There's zero chance we resign him. Just kind of ironic that he's more efficient on offense but a huge liability on defense.

I get a kick out of people that would take Parker over Wiggins. I hope we pick in the top 3 and teams are stupid enough to do that.

I only watched the first half but I think Mike Brown is not pleased with Kyrie thus far. I mean, when Delladedova gets 26 minutes and he's your third-string PG ( maybe 4th if you want to move Waiters there first) I think there is something going on. And this isn't the first time Delladedova has been getting Kyrie's minutes....he's an effort guy and playing harder than Kyrie.... and that what Mike Brown wants to see. I think Kyrie loafed defensively and has made poor decisions with the ball.

I think there are some bad defensive habits that were left after Bryon Scott left and it is showing. Brown's style is completely different, obviously. This team is struggling with what Mike Brown wants to do defensively, I think it may be exhaustive for them, and it is effecting the offensive side of the ball.

Mike Brown's way hasn't sunk in yet, IMO. And until the players see results, aka WINS, they won't fully be on board with him. And until that happens, Mike Brown will continue to put in players who play harder than others and at the PG position, its been Delladedova over Irving although the talent is obviously no where close.

Waiters should also be starting.....CJ Miles is nothing more than 3pt guy.

I haven't been impressed with irving at all this year..to me he's been more a liability than an asset. I trade him for ellis straight up

Why is Paul George the faivorite to win MVP over Lebron? I know we all hate him but look at there numbers. Points, assists, rebounds are pretty similar, but Indiana has the better record. That's a very fair argument.

However, Lebron is doing it shooting 59%. That's top 13 in the league. That's including centers and power forwards. As a matter of fact he's shootings he highest % among non PFs and Cs.

Because people want something different. I think it's unfair and stupid.

Everyone wants to disregard him in the Jordan v Lebron debate, but then stuff like this happens, where they are looking for reasons to do it.

I mean whatever, I'm not going to cry for the dude, but that kind of stuff is hilarious. He's the best player in the game by far. There is no close second anymore.

same thing happened to MJ. he missed out on a bunch of MVP awards because people wanted someone to challenge him.

Yeah, the NBA is really about the bottom line though, and MJ did his damage in the playoffs. Lebron is doing his right now.

It's a fun argument, but I think it's premature when Lebron isn't even 30 years old yet. Jordan won his 3rd title at age 30.

Jordan's best move was being able to adapt while his body aged. Getting stronger, and playing in the post a little more. Young legs get older. Lebron may actually have his legs last a little bit longer than MJ's did, but there will come a time where he will have to adapt.

I think the argument is a little dumb, because they are different players, with different games.

yes, agreed they are different players, but they are very likely to be the 2 players compared as the best 2 ever to play the game in the not too distant future and sport writers cannot start the debate early enough.

regardless, this season is getting interesting. 3-1 in the last four games beating the Bulls, Nuggets and Clippers? who the heck saw that coming?

it's looking like Bynum+Irving+Thompson might be enough for a playoff spot in the East. of course, the East is terrible, but, hey, it's a start. hopefully, we continue to build from here.

Maybe they are buying into Coach Brown a little now?

I was not a big fan of the hire, but the guy also isn't the worst coach on the planet either.

Who said he was the favorite? I've seen Durant, LeBron, George, Love, Chris Paul all discussed as being on the short list at this point...

and the East is so bad that we are 3.5 games out of the 3seed. so, despite an absolute terrible start to the year, the season basically hasn't started yet because we are right in the thick of everything.

I think the absolute biggest difference is that Bynum is actually in playing shape enough and trusts his knees enough now to make a real difference. Philly fans have got to be throwing things at this point.

yeah i said this much a few weeks ago, you can tell bynum gaining confidence as the season goes...he's been a beast the last 2 weeks...We might just end up having the best front court in the NBA when all is said and done...just for thought, but say lebron did come back, bynum, kyrie and lebron together would be pretty amazing to watch.

Bynum causes problems for other teams just being out there. He's tall and wide and doesn't get punked under the hoop.

He should have been in the D league this whole time...this is on grant and his trying to justify the pick. Send fatty down to Dleague and let him get 25-30 minutes a game. Thats how he's going to get back in to game shape...

back into? i don't think he's ever been in NBA game shape.

completely agree that he should be sent down with a trainer and drilled mercilessly while getting a ton of playing time. he might not be Adonis when he comes back but he'd be better for sure.

Kwame Brown, widely known as the worst #1 overall ever, averaged 4.5 ppg in his rookie season. AB is under 2 ppg. Unreal. I'm done with him. You could have found a guy at the bottom of the 2nd better than this guy. Amazing.

Given that he was out of shape because of his shoulder, and has asthma and sleep apnea, I'll cut him just a bit of slack.

I am willing to wait more than just one month+ before I bury the guy.

There has to be something seriously wrong with him that we don't know about. I've seen some d league scrubs play better than him. Hasheem freaking Thabeet did more. There has to be more to his shoulder injury than what we've been told. The dude was NEVER this bad in college.

What bothers me is his weight. I just hope he didn't just decide to mail it in after getting paid #1 pick money. Gerrard Warrens fat azz at least did SOMETHING with the Pats.

At least it seems Brown has got his rotations in order. Pleasantly surprised how well Bynum has played of late. Those first 15 games was a mess. At least it seems like we're on the right track.

It definitely seems like the team is getting itself in order. This squad is too young and too talented to be as horrible as they were. I think the contrast between Scott and Brown was a bit of a rude awakening to this group.

And the Knicks are just awful. Sometimes I feel bad for Melo because he's never been on anything more than a slightly above average team, but then I remember that he's been a part of the problem wherever he was.

There was that one playoff series where they gave the Lakers (when they were the LAKERS) a great series and Melo really committed himself to defending the entire series.

Yea they played them in 09 when we played the magic for the east. They could've easily beat them, a lot of those games came down to a basket. He is definitely leaving the knicks. Just a horrible roster. You take out Chandler, and Shumpert none of those guys plays defense. Plus they have too many selfish players. Even Ferry gave James a better supporting cast than what's in new york. We tried to play defense.

I just don't know if he can win as "the guy." You can say this for everyone, but he'd be truly unstoppable if he played with Lebron. Lebron wouldn't have to worry about scoring and could just focus on everything else, which makes him impossible to stop. He'd get Melo incredible looks too.
