lol Back to back sacks for OSU's defense. I am sensing another high scoring offensive game for the Bucs, and a shut out lol..

I'm posting here because I just heard that Illinois has lost 19 straight B 1 G games. Illinois has always played Ohio State tough and not respected them, OSU has 21+ straight wins, these streaks can't continue. I think Ohio State and Illinois play in a couple weeks, I look for Illinois to get the win. I've watched Ohio State games for lots of years, only because I live in this town, and every time Ohio State is over confident they lose in a stupid way. Illinois is the kind of game for Ohio State to lose, so it will probably happen. Just watch the first part of the Ohio State vs Northwestern game, and then look at how Northwestern played in their next 4 games, and it is not that preposterous. That is, of course, unless one of those streaks ends before they play.
LOL.

Tough I didn't disagree with may over his pick of FSU over OSU if both undefeated... They have a tougher schedule IMO... But glad Lou went off when may said bama or FSU would wipe the floor with them...

Braxton needs to make the higher % play. He gets to pass happy and wants to prove too much instead of playing his game at times.

As far as resumes go, I don't want to hear about FSU's overblown W versus Miami.
Garbage.
If you're going to rag Ohio State for their schedule, it may be time to start looking at FSU's.

The end of that Auburn game was one of the most incredible moments I've seen in sports ... literally
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Good news is that Auburn has a bye week before Bama. It's gonna take a monumental effort 4 quarters to beat Bama.

It's funny, I was just looking at this.
FSU beat Clemson, and who else?
The rest of their schedule is a joke. Next week they play Idaho. Scary. Florida is next. Not terribly impressive. They will face a decent, but not great team in their Conference Championship.
I dunno. I do worry about another aspect. Go kill teams. That's all you can do, I guess. I kinda hate that aspect of "sportsmanship" in college football. Winning isn't enough. If you play an inferior team, you better dismantle them and send them home in pieces. Don't just win ..... you better destroy these inferior teams, because it's not good enough to win by 30 and pull your starters.

FSU's only good win is a road W over Clemson. Other than that, they have beaten nobody.
Clemson isn't a top ten team if you ask me. They really don't have any good wins outside of Georgia, who won't see the top 25 again after today.
I just think Ohio State takes way too much from critics while some of these other schools are skating.
I would still rank OSU 3rd behind FSU, but it's not by this wide margin that everyone thinks.
I think OSU's win over Wisconsin looks good as each week passes. That is a really solid football team. They should be in the top 15.
It just seems like these talking heads and critics have it already set in their heads that FSU is just far and away better than Ohio State.

A lot of football to be played. Michigan State will be a top 10 teams come dec 7th. Just have to hope bama loses to auburn or south carolina/mizzou in the championship. Hopefully baylor loses to oklahoma state, and that will take care of them.

Stanford lost to USC today, which ends any talk of them challenging for a top spot.
We'll see what happens by the end of the season. I have a feeling that there is still a big upset yet to come.

I think people were mesmerized by Stanford's win over Oregon. I said leading up to the game that Oregon would struggle.
Stanford has beef up front, and took away Oregon's run game. The Ducks' scheme is designed to succeed with the run/option, and for them, Stanford is the only team with size and good coaching in the P12 conference to match up. (I don't know why they wouldn't tailor the offense a little more around Mariota, since he has the tools to make good passes)
I don't think last week was the result of Stanford being this juggernaut and Oregon being chopped liver. It was a bad matchup, and as you saw tonight, Stanford isn't a top 5 team.

Ohio State and Baylor will both get a boost in the computer rankings after the Stanford Loss.
Ohio State was behind Stanford in 4 of the 6 computer rankings. Baylor was behind Stanford in 5 of the 6 polls.
Ohio State and Baylor still has alot of room to possibly move up further in the next few weeks. Ohio State is behind Oregon in 1 poll. Baylor is behind Oregon and Auburn in 2 polls and Missouri in 1 poll.
Ohio State is ahead of Baylor in both the Harris and USA Today coaches poll. They need to win with style points the next 3 games because Baylor has more room to move up in the computer and if they can beat Oklahoma State they should get the computer ranking bump they need.
In all of the computer rankings Alabama and Florida State are 1,2. That is why the media says if they win out they will meet each other in the BCS Championship game. Unless 1 of those teams lose there does not seem to be any avenue Ohio State or Baylor has to move ahead of them.
Bottom line is Baylor benifited even more from the Stanford loss than Ohio State. Next week Buckeye fans need to root for Oklahoma State to win or atleast keep the game very close. If Baylor blows OK St. out and gets voted ahead in either the Harris or USA poll or both they will move ahead in the BCS. Then the Buckeyes will need to have an impressive performance against Mich State in Big Ten title game to move the polls back into their favor if Florida St or Alabama slips up.
Still alot of games left for all to be settled on the field.

Things are out of whack.
Ohio State has won 22 straight games. Yet, all they get is grief. I would like punch Mark May in his big mouth.
Look, I don't think our defense is that great. I don't think we have played that tough of a schedule. However, it is so hard to win that many games in a row. It deserves praise, not bashing.
Furthermore, Florida State struggled against freaking Boston College. They have only played one real good team. Alabama didn't light up Mississippi State--who has been roughed up by a few teams---yet no one is talking style points w/them.
I don't know if we have the best team in the nation. I think Alabama and Florida State are probably better. Our defense is weak. However, I really don't think you can hold Ohio State's offense down. They are really, really good. Our line is perhaps the best in the country and we have play makers all over the field. We are scoring around 50 to 60 points a game recently. I find it hard to believe that we would be out of any game, never mind being wiped all over the field.

The shame of it is that we are in the last year of the BCS nonsense. Imagine a New Years Day with Ala vs Baylor (1 vs 4) and FSU vs OSU (2 vs 3) with a true national championship game on the following Friday. TV ratings would be through the roof for both the semi's and the final.

JC with a few random thoughts from yesterday's games ...
* Braxton Miller is an awesome athlete, but I don't think he's a pro prospect. He just leaves too many plays on the field, like yesterday when he hit the defender in the back with a pass to an open Philly Brown (I think it was Brown). If he just puts some air under that throw its probably a touchdown. I also question his toughness. Nobody likes to get hit, but he looks like he plays scared. JMO.
* Michigan QB Gardner appears to have all the tools - size, speed, good arm - but he stinks on ice. In one stretch of plays I saw him nearly throw 4 picks in a row. Too bad for Northwestern their DBs have stone hands.
* I had been thinking that since we won't have a shot at Bridgewater or Mariota, that I might want to take a flyer on AJ McCarron in the 2nd round. But after watching some of his game yesterday, I came away with a "meh" feeling. He looked pretty ordinary; another Alabama game manager. I might be wrong about that since I didn't watch the whole game (Mrs Dave wanted to watch Dexter).
* Caught some of the Georgia-Auburn game, including the ridiculous ending. Just like in the Cinci-Ravens game, another DB goes for the pick instead of spiking it like a volleyball - so dumb. Aaron Murray looks like a gutsy QB with a decent arm whose size leads to comparisons to Drew Brees - or is it Colt McCoy? I'll leave that to the experts.

Yeah, I don't think many see him as a big time prospect. I think his body type is similar to RG3, and we all know how he's holding up in the NFL right now.
He's an excellent college QB and will probably get a look in the NFL.
He's gotten so much better under Meyer. He's not leaving after this season, so I expect one hell of a QB playing at OSU next year.
Think about all the QB's leaving this year. He could be alone at the top in any Heisman race.
As far as Mark May goes, he hates Ohio State, so anything he says is null and void.
He shouldn't be an analyst. He's not doing his job. ESPN does college football fans a disservice by having horrible coverage outside of Gameday.

Baylor has passed Ohio State in the AP poll. Furtunetely, for the Buckeyes the AP poll does not factor in the BCS. But, if the Harris or coaches poll follow suit then Baylor could be 3rd in the BCS tonight. Then with games against Oklahoma State and Texas ahead of the Bears they could possibly solidify the number 3 slot with wins. They have the most room for improvement in the computer rankings.
The Buckeyes need Michigan State and Wisconsin to continue to win then look very impressive in the remaining games including a dominate performance against the Spartans in the title game to get ahead of the Bears if Bama or Florida State slip.

Baylor is such a joke. So far they've had an easier schedule than OSU. They'll most likely finish the season playing only 2 ranked teams while OSU will most likely finish with playing 3 ranked teams.

BCS stays the same 1-3, with Baylor moving up to 4. They are .001 behind Ohio State.
If FSU or Bama loses, and OSU and Baylor take care of business, you are going to have a big mess on your hands. Very similar to 2004 with Auburn, Oklahoma, and USC.
I think Ohio State is the better team. Yes, I am an Ohio State fan, but I truly believe on a neutral field, Ohio State would be favored.
I expect Baylor to surpass Ohio State next week with any kind of win at Oklahoma State. Ohio State gains nothing by beating a horrible Indiana team.
However, I would expect Ohio State to jump right back over should they beat MSU in a few weeks (assuming MSU stays 1-loss)
But really, how can you decide between the two? They are so close. The line for the game would favor Ohio State but by far less than a TD. They both have roughly played an equal schedule.
What if there is a dead heat in the BCS after the conference championship games are finished? I'm not even sure how that works.
Thank God this is the last year for this. Although with this new committee you are opening a whole new can of worms. I said it before, I think this new playoff system should keep the current BCS formula, but just make it the top 4, instead of having politicians and AD's make these decisions.
I don't get that. Oliver Luck is on the committee. He's a fine man, but he's the AD at West Va. What if the mountaineers are one of those teams on the fringe. He picks them and he's a homer even if they deserve it. If he doesn't pick them, he's only doing it to not look like a homer all while they burn down his house in Morgantown.

Ohio State scores 60 and wins by 25 and it's called a mundane and uninspiring performance. Alabama scores 20 and wins by 14 and not one negative word is uttered by the national media. Miss. St. is the same team that S. Carolina destroyed a couple of weeks ago and other teams have beaten up.
Double standards.
