I think those years in the Big 12 have given you a bit of a bias. They're on the same level of the American Conference at this point.

The opposite. I hated the Big 12 when we were in it. It was constantly ovverrated year in and year out. Neither conference (10 or 12) is anything to write home about this year,

That is all neither here nor there. Neither OSU or Baylor is getting past Bama and FSU if everyone wins out.

outstanding post. Agree with you 100 percent.
I had typed half a response and then noticed the length and simply canceled it. I wasn't in the mood of writing a novel so late at night and I was getting tired.

Been thinking more about the ongoing criticism of Ohio State's schedule. I suspect that after this weekend we'll hear that Ohio State only won by 30 against a terrible Indiana team, while Florida State and Alabama trounced perennial powers---Idaho and Chattanooga. I was also looking at Florida States "much tougher" schedule. They played these elite teams: Pitt Nevada Bethune--Cookman Boston College Maryland Wake Forest Syracuse Wow, murderer's row. Alabama has had the tougher schedule, but they have played: Colorado St. Georgia St. Tennessee Arkansas Kentucky Chattanooga Interesting.

Bama will always get the benefit of the doubt playing the SEC, especially the SEC West where you have to go through LSU, TAMU ect.

Looking forward to witnessing history Buckeye fans? Indiana has an AWFUL defense. We should easily score on them.

If we win 500-0, it still won't be enough for the critics.
I hate having to see OSU dismantle and destroy a team just to have the talking heads consider the Buckeyes having "played well enough".
I really hate seeing teams having to run up the score on inferior teams just to "impress" the voters.
I would love to see a championship playoff series made up of the conference champions, and maybe a couple of wild card teams to balance things out.

I'm not worried about Baylor after tonight
- Baylor hasn't beaten a ranked team on the road since '89? - Baylor has not won in Stillwater since '39.

If you were giving us facts about Oklahoma State schemes or players being bad match ups for Baylor that would be one thing. But, past Baylor teams have absolutely nothing to do with the 2013 Baylor team.

Baylor may pass Ohio State for a week or so. But, the Big 12 does not have a conference championship game and as long as Ohio State beats Michigan State they will finish ahead of Baylor in the BCS. Michigan State will be top 10 when the game in Indy is played and that will be more than enough to go back ahead of Baylor in the BCS.
With a win tonight Baylor's strength of schedule will move ahead of Ohio State. Then if Ohio State beats Michigan State their stregth of schedule will either move ahead of Baylor. Ohio State is also ahead of Baylor in both the Harris and Coaches poll.
The only way the Micigan State win it won't be enough is if Baylor crushes Ok State and moves ahead of Ohio State in the Harris and/or coaches poll. I do not think that would happen if OSU was undefeated.

Oklahoma could lose to KSU today, they are currently up 3 in the 4th..
If that were to happen, it could knock OU out of the top 25 giving Baylor no top 25 wins right now, and if they beat OkSt, OkSt falls back from 10.
If you ask me, Wisconsin is a better team than Oklahoma State, but I'm not sure if the voters will see it the same way.
But yeah, Ohio State should jump back over Baylor with a win over MSU 2 weeks from today.

Devin Gardner would be the 4th best QB on Ohio State, but he would be the second best clipboard holder.

Georgia Southern has rushed for 429 yards AT Florida at a 7.9 ypc pace. That includes a -21 yard rush that I have to assume was a punt attempt gone awry.
The Georgia Southern kicker has missed 2/4 XPs!

Wow. Florida lost at home to Georgia Southern who didn't even complete a pass, missed two extra points, and botched a punt attempt. Amazing.

Wow, what a letdown for Indiana. Holding penalties are just so hard to overcome. They'rejust below a turnover.

Agreed. Anything worse than a 5 yard penalty can destroy a drive.

Gardner has struggled but no way is Cardale Jones even close. Guiton looked good so that's debatable.
Michigan's offensive line is bad. Really bad. The middle of their line is very young and inexperienced. As a result, they can't run the ball at all. Everything falls on Gardner, which leads to a lot of mistakes.

Derek Carr with a monster game.
Carr's first throw for a TD was great back shoulder. He had a nice post for 48 that didn't look like he put anything on the ball and boom.

Yeah I'm already hearing top ten for him. Maybe that's the guy we target to trade up to grab?

Baylor's getting worked. Much like the Ducks got taken to the woodshed. If you can't play physical, only fast, you get beat when you get punched in the mouth.

Mariotta, Manziel, Petty all played way out of Heisman convo. Winston's to lose if voters look past current legal issues.
Bama v Auburn looms large now for you Buckeye fans.

Well ....... Should .... But I bet that a lot of voters probably won't, and we'll probably hear about how their 42-14 win over a 4-7 Indiana team is completely unimpressive. I mean, after all, look at how FSU destroyed the mighty Idaho Vandals.
