also...
it may seem like the cavs are a one man team, but they're not...
a one man team, like the old jordan pre-championship teams, and the current kobe teams, those guys took a lot of shots
lebron doesn't take a lot of shots, he can score 50 a night if he wanted to, but he realizes that you have to give the ball up, this is something that jordan took years to learn, and lebron knew it right away
they may struggle offensively, but they are not a one man team...
bad on the perimeter? yes.
lacking a point guard? yes.
but lebron gives the ball up, you can't be a one man team giving the ball up.
sorry.

I think the nets are still gonna try to catch washington cause i don't think they want to play miami. chicago might be just right for the picking. but to be honest, noone in the east scares me except detroit. they are good top to bottom. I think you put pollard and AV in the miami series with alot of minutes to be physical with shaq and mourning, a couple of good, clean hard fouls on wade. Thier age will start to catch up on them . I think anyone else in the division can't really match up totally with us and our top 3. and noone has a lebron.

Man, I'm a Cavs fan too, but come on.. be realistic. You can throw you useless stats all you want.. but Miami won the season series 3-1 for a reason.
Also, don't say "No one has a LeBron" when Miami is getting DeWayne Wade back.

Exactly, They put out meaningless stats that show nothing.
As I stated , name one player other than Lebron that can match up with anyone on Miami's team.
Lebron, you stated that the Cavs, don't have a point guard, don't have a primeter game, and we all know they don't have a top rated center. So what does that leave them with ? Any way you spin it , it's a one man team.
As for your stats, would they be the same for Miami if Shaq played the season ? I would love to see the breakdown on D stats since Shaq's return.
Any way , Cleveland will get their chance to prove they are better, remember, playoffs are a time where teams take it to a higher level. Do the Cavs have anyone other than Lebron, that has a higher level, I know the Heat do.
I'll put my money on the Heat.

Miami won 3-1 becuase honestly, we don't have a good coach to gameplan for us, you notice lately who's been directing everything, lebron, coach didn't tell lebron to start posting up, he just did, he's becoming more involved now getting his team ready. They are being more physical. Dwade is a good player yes, but still not even close to a lebron. Dwade is soft and not 100 percent. Like i said in my post. If the cavs get physical with miami on D and run their old butts on O, this is a very easy series. whether or not they do that is another story, but i am not worried really about miami since we are healthy, they really aren', we have home floor, and of course a healthy hungry lebron.

don't have a top rater center..lmao, we're the best rebounding team in the NBA, and Z shoots over 50 percent. he can pull shaq away from the basket, shaq is just a big fattie that stands down there and uses his 750lbs to push off. No real skill in shaq these days. When andy gets in there and gets physical with him he gets aggravated. So you think if we cut Z we wouldn't have anyone looking at him right...thats funny. Sure he has weaknesses, but every center does. But hes one of the best around the basket on the offensive side

One thing working in our favor tonight is that New Jersey can lock up the #6 seed with a win and avoid Chicago in the 1st round of the playoffs. If New Jersey didn't have anything to play for, I don't think we'd have a chance.

yes, we don't have a point guard, or perimeter shooting, and what does that leave us with?
um, can i take "frontcourt" for 500, alex?
the cavs frontcourt is one of the best in the nba... you can rip z and gooden all you want, but those numbers don't lie, they were the highest scoring frontcourt last year, and this year, i don't know the numbers, but they're right there again...
that's the kind of scoring that gets you through the playoffs, that's what got the cavs to the brink of taking down detroit in what would have been a monumental collapse...
defensively, we're better than the heat, not just better, but head and shoulders better...
you can talk about matchups all you want, but in the end, our defense would prevail over any kind of "matchup", not to mention there are quite a few players for miami who ignore playing defense...
how did the pistons matchup in 2004 when they beat the lakers in the finals?
even some of the guys on espn, who couldn't be any more anti-cav, have stated the cavs are a great defensive team, greg anthony thinks they may have the best defense in the east... and with ben wallace out of detroit, i tend to agree...
if the cavs draw miami, cavs in 6
and by the way, the season series means absolutely nothing... chicago went 3-1 against detroit this year, but that doesn't make them the better team...
the cavs went 1-3 against detroit last year, and matched up quite well with them in the playoffs...
miami doesn't have it this year....
hell, last year, i thought we would have beaten miami had we gotten past detroit...

LMAO, the Cavs are the higest scoring frontcourt in the Nba this year and last, I have no proof of this , but if I throw enough against the wall it might stick.
defensively, we're better than the heat, not just better, but head and shoulders better...
The cavs are exactly 2.67 points per game better than the Heat defensivly, Head and shoulders, I don't think so. Should I remind you of the head to head record this year ?
you can talk about matchups all you want, but in the end, our defense would prevail over any kind of "matchup", not to mention there are quite a few players for miami who ignore playing defense...
Matchups is what the NBA is all about, you should know this since you stated you KNEW B-ball. If the Cavs matched up so well why did they lose three ?
how did the pistons matchup in 2004 when they beat the lakers in the finals? Actually , quite well, The Lakers had a selfish Koby and Shaq, nothing more, The Pistons utilized each member of their team , playing as a team. I actually picked the Pistons in 5 games that year.
.
even some of the guys on espn, who couldn't be any more anti-cav, have stated the cavs are a great defensive team, greg anthony thinks they may have the best defense in the east... and with ben wallace out of detroit, i tend to agree...
.And this must make it gospel.

the cavs went 1-3 against detroit last year, and matched up quite well with them in the playoffs..
And lost to them in the playoffs.
miami doesn't have it this year...
This was said last year also.
hell, last year, i thought we would have beaten miami had we gotten past detroit...
Hell I thought we would be champions if we got past Dallas, oh wait a minute we did. That makes us defending NBA champs, you know what they say, to be the man you have to beat the man. Cleveland hasn't been able to do that yet have they ?
Good Luck.

71-70 NJ start of the 4th. C'mon guys! I hate Vince Carter, but I'm pulling for him now... how much does he want to get a shot at Toronto in the playoffs?
74-73 NJ just under 11:00 to go...

could this night have gone any better for the cavs?
chicago chokes one away, the wizards prevail on the road...
i'm not guaranteeing a trip to the eastern conference finals, but their chance is great...
a few things to ponder...
if the cavs can make it to the ecf, you can hope for:
chicago upsetting detroit, giving us home court throughout the east...
or...
chicago giving detroit one hell of a series, wearing them out, much like we did last year, and playing a detroit team that is tired... remember, they play a short rotation all year, and are not built for playing long series, after long series...
i think chicago beats miami, although that will probably be a hard fought series, so chicago may not have enough to give detroit a real run...
i think the espn guys jumped the gun on new jersey, they made it seem like it's in the bag that new jersey beats toronto... those guys have overlooked the raptors all year, i think they have what it takes to beat new jersey, although they've gotta play better defensively, chris bosh is an absolute force, and new jersey won't have much of an answer for him...
the cavs finish the season on a high note, winning 4 straight, everyone is healthy, and larry hughes is knocking down shots, the cavs season took a huge turn today....

yea if coach brown can't get us to the eastern conference finals he should be fired on the spot. I'm serious as hell too. there is no excuse whatsoever not to beat a depleted wizards squad and the winner of the raptors/nets. I think the raptors win in 7 based on home court and the nets having no answer for bosh. the raptors are similar to the wizards of last saeson. they could score, but I think our experience, and overall depth should be able to beat them in 6. but that series should be more entertatining than playing the boring nets. we would kill their frontline.
I have the heat beating the bulls in 7, and the pistons taking care of the heat in 6.
It's going to be detroit vs cavs in the finals.
now the western conference series will be sick.
spurs vs nuggets mavs vs warriors jazz vs rockets suns vs lakers
I think the mavs will smoke the warriors in 4. Spurs over nuggets in 6, Rrockets over Jazz in 7, and Suns over Lakers in 5.
that leaves the mavs vs rockets and Lakers vs Spurs
Mavs over rockets in 6, and suns over spurs in 7.
Suns get revenge over mavs in a classic 7 game series.
Suns vs Cavs in the finals.
Suns over cavs in 5.
Suns world champions. nash mvp.

IMO
I'm not a fan of Brown. Mainly b/c offensively---he's a complete idiot.
If you watch our plays coming out of the Time-Out. The plays that he has drawn up during the time-out. They often result in turn-overs, bad shots, or shot clock violations. This to me is a sure sign of his offensive play-calling ineptitude.
He may be a great defensive strategist, but you have to score points to win games.

I really like our chances to make it to the conference finals and perhaps the Championship game. We should beat the Wizards and the Nets/Raptors winner as well. Great night for Cleveland Basketball and the Cavs second 50 win season in a row.
"I only had a couple of weeks to train, but I'm glad it happened because it gave me a chance to be a Browns player," Bell said.

After seeing the Bulls go down, I'm thinking there REALLY is a Santa Claus or David Stern & the NBA really wanted to see Lebron & the Cavs have an easier path to get to the NBA Conference Finals.
