Got back into Wrestling games, so I busted out WWE 12. Does anyone have 2k14? Wondering if 2k did a good job with it?
I do want it just for the 30 years of WrestleMania mode.

I played the beta of ESO over the weekend. It was fun and the graphics looked good.

I have it, overall its pretty similar to the previous entries (12 & 13).
While 2K may have taken over, Yukes is still the team behind the game and it hasn't changed much, you really can't tell aside from the 2K logo being slapped on.
The Wrestlemania mode which is what I mainly bought it for. I really enjoyed last years Attitude Era mode and this Wrestlemania mode was set up the same. I personally had a lot of fun with it.

Seems like 2k14 has more wrestlers too. 12 had all the current guys but just a few of the classic guys.

Yeah, having the Road to Wrestlemania story they have all the guys included in that. The create a wrestler/arena is improved as well. you can get pretty much any old school arena you want and they look pretty sweet.

I sold my PS3 (with two Sony controllers, Ghsot Recon Future Solider, Socom Navy Seals, GTA V and Hitman Absolution) for $175. Was listed on Craigslist and in three days, was sold. I'd recommend using Craigslist when the day comes you want to sell and upgrade to newer gen console!
Can't say I've ever sold a console. Not my Nintendo, Genesis, PS2, Xbox, Xbox360 or Dreamcast. Or either of my Gameboys. They usually end up in boxes all dusty, and then thrown away. May be I'd consider it, but I dunno. I don't really like the idea of Craigslist, just makes me nervous. I'd consider eBay, but the shipping is expensive and by the time I'm selling that PS3 it'll make it hard to sell. I'll probably just buy a PS4 and keep my PS3. Same with that Wii that I never use....... And I imagine my Xbox360 will eventually break as it is put through the stresses of life on a tugboat. When that happens I'll be transporting the PS3 back and forth, and that'll probably go the same way.......... The Atlantic Ocean gets rough out there for everyone and everything, lol
I've sold a lot of consoles on eBay. The shipping is a wash if you consider the buyer is paying for it. Sure, it's wrapped up in the total price, but it's really their fee, not yours.
As for the actual act of shipping, most of these systems aren't too heavy and won't be too pricey to deliver. And don't forget to get the insurance (though it's probably a pain to prove to the shipper they broke it. And even if you could prove that, wouldn't they just counter with your poor packing job?).
As for Craigslist, I don't trust meeting people in public with cash. I suppose the guy on the other ends knows my address through eBay because of shipping labels, but there's something weird about meeting a guy in X location with product Y to exchange $$$.
I'm still playing COD BLOPS2 for quick gaming fixes. If I have more time, I'll play Uncharted. I'm looking forward to buying the EA World Cup game (assuming they release one).

Not true, Ebay charges you auction fees on the final auction selling price of your item, and a certain % off the shipping price you charged, so technically now the shipping price is literally a fee to you (a selling fee), and the end-buyer. It's just a way for Ebay to get more money as they saw people were charging high shipping rates and letting their auction price be low, so they implemented it on the shipping to offset that and to make people enter fair shipping costs.
Ebay has become a total joke, I will no longer sell anything on there due to the the fees. By the time Ebay taxes ya, PayPal taxes ya - you don't really get much money at the end of the day for your items that are actually 'worth' money. I only buy on Ebay now.

I started back on my road to the show for mlb TS 13. I'm a pitcher for the Marlins, got up in my second year. Funny thing is, the Marlins did not make the post season in 2014 (we're still bad) so I of course simulated the 2014 playoffs. Guess who won it all? The Tribe, haha.

I was at first but I found out that it's basically a 2hr demo for $40. The real Metal Gear Solid V is Phantom Pain and it doesn't have a release date yet. Ground Zeroes is the first of a sub series of Prequels leading into Phantom Pain.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain might not come out until December 2015

I was wondering why the price for the upcoming MGS was cheaper than usual. Maybe I won't be waiting on gameday as I already paid 60 bucks for a Tomb Raider game with extremely short gameplay duration. Thanks for the heads up bro. I'm not into blowing money for an evening's worth of gaming.

NP, I'm a big MG fan myself and this is just Kojima ripping fans off. I'll wait till it's a free game on PS+ next year before Phantom Pain comes out. I'm not paying $40 for a 2hr game. No way.

I fully expect in about a year it to be free for PS+ members. I'll wait for that or until the price is Sub $20 if it doesn't happen before Phantom Pain.
Ground Zeroes is supposed to be the first a a few prequels. If that is three prequels, each 2hr game plays for $40, then in the end the early buyers will shell out $120 for 6 hours of game play and then another $60 for Phantom Pain which should be a full game.
Kojima is just using his name and Metal Gears popularity to rip fans off. I'm not buying. MGS4 was about 4 hours of game play and 5 hours of cut scenes. I had some hope for MGS5-Ground Zeroes until I saw the reviews saying they beat it in 2 hours.
By contrast The Last of Us-Left Behind DLC is about 2 - 2.5 hours of game play and it is selling for $15 or it is free if you bought the $20 season pass.

Yeah I never finished 4, because of the ridiculous amounts of cut scenes. SOL had a lot of cut scenes but I loved the storyline so much that I didn't mind.
I never finished 3 because I found it unbelievably difficult right off the bat.
Nothing beats Metal Gear Solid if you ask me. Storyline, gameplay, it was the complete package. I would love to see a reissue where they make it with next-gen graphics and gameplay...

Anybody getting the new Castlevania? It came out today and I'll probably pick it up on Friday. The demo has been available for about a week, but I haven't gotten a chance to try it.

I downloaded and played it Saturday. It's fun. Most Castlevania stuff is awesome so I wasn't surprised.

The final cut scene is over an hour long. I remember beating the game a little past midnight and I had to work the next morning. Yeah, by time I got into bed it was about 1:30am.

I am playing Stryder on xbox one. So far its fun, its a button masher that feels like castlevania and metroid. I read that it can beat it in 8 hours or less, which I think is good value for $15 game.

Yeah, MGS4 was pretty bad with cut-scenes. I still enjoyed the game though, as after you initially watched the 5 hour movie, you could skip through it all in a replay. If you go for the badges, it can get quite challenging. Especially the hardest-mode/no-kills/no-deaths/no-cheats badge.
I'm just getting into Skyrim. Sure, I'm probably 5 years late to the party here, but with small kids around, I only have a 2-hour window late at night when I can really play it. My friend got a beta pass for 2 for the new Elder Scrolls Online game that's coming out soon. I'll have to see how that goes.

This is a good thread. I'm a huge fan of the Xbox 360 and have 25 games or so. I absolutely love Bioshock, Mass Effect and the Batman games. I'm currently juggling Batman: Arkham Origins as well as Bioshock 2 again.
I also actually just bought a Nintendo 3DS XL which is a pretty legit little gaming system. Playing through Luigis Mansion which is pretty fun.

Ha, thanks. I'm always interested to hear what games people are currently into, whether that be new or older games.
I'm still playing RTTS in the show. I held off on GTA 5 for awhile during the holidays and never got back into it, I may throw that in this weekend.

I got NAPCAR '14 and have played a few races, it's pretty decent. There are far fewer glitches and bugs from the previous years, though there are still some there.
I was planning on getting Castlevania tomorrow, but have decided against it after watching reviews and playing the demo. I'm going to go with Thief instead.

Currently, I'm playing Crysis 2. It's ok, but I'm having trouble really getting into the campaign.
I just finished DragonAge 2. I was sorta enjoying it while I was playing it, but not enough to make up for the incredibly obnoxious characters. What does it say when you want to punch all but 2 of your team of buddies in the face all the time? The ending was terrible. The story, overall, was pointless and very short. Also, how are you supposed to level up your character when the story is so short? Ugh... Bioware, you are so much better than that.
After Crisis 2, I have the latest (for 360) Halo queued up and ready to go. That should be fun, and should make up for Crysis. After that, I'll be looking to get my hands on Red Dead Redemption, which should also make up for DA2.

I am a big Bioware and DA:O fan and I was pretty underwhelmed by DA2 also. I think part 3 is supposed to be lean more towards Origins, thank god.

Honestly, I'm really tempted to go back and start a new playthrough of Mass Effect (all three). None of these games are really doing anything for me.

That is something I regret not doing is AT LEAST playing the game (ME 2 and ME 3) with a different character. I used Soldier in both cause I like run-n-gun but wow. I am a BIG Mass Effect fan and cannot wait to play Mass Effect 4 which last I heard, BioWare announced it was in a playable state. This next gen game is surely one I will be preordering.
...
I will start Warframe today. It was free to download on the PS+ membership so I snagged it up for a rainy day. Although it's technically a snowy day, I got nothing else to play so Warframe it is!

I can't stand how these developers and publishers can't let a series die and deliver something new. Halo, Mass Effect, and Assassin's Creed were all supposed to be wrapped up. Yet, Halo 4 arrived after Halo 3, the newest Assassin's Creed came out after the series was said to be completed, and now a new Mass Effect is being made. I'm sure you can throw Gears of War on that list, there will be another on the next gen consoles.
I'm craving something new from video games. Unfortunately, no companies want to take a risk and they keep releasing the same game with a different cover. I'm contemplating getting rid of my PS3 and Xbox 360 and just sticking with my PS2 because of it.

Bioware closed the Mass Effect story in the third game. The next game will use the same universe, but all new characters and story. I'm fine with this, as that storyline is all tapped out.

They never said they would stop Assassins Creed series, least to my knowledge. They just start new stories with new characters (Ezio, Altair, Captain Kenway and Connor). I have no problems with this structure, however, that's just me. I for one hope that Mass Effect and AC series continues forever as it's few series I feel comfortable with buying/preordering on release day.

Very challenging game. I've also very recently started playing through it.
As far as Mass Effect goes I had to say that ME 2 was my favorite simply cause of the depth and all the characters you're able to encounter and add to your party. Loved the final suicide mission.
I'm very much looking forward to Mass Effect 4.

Mass Effect 2 was yÞn because of the improvement in gameplay. I'm an "RPG-light" kinda guy, and ME1 was a little too heavy with the RPG gameplay.
That said, ME1 is still my favorite. The story in that game was absolutely incredible. The twist near the middle of the game (Virmire) almost made me crap my pants. ME3's story was close, but that was mostly because the characters were so well fleshed out at that point. ME2's story was relatively flat, the surprises just weren't surprising.

This thread has made me start a new campaign to replay ME. I always felt bad for not being able to save Jack at the end of ME2.
