They sure play like it.
I'm glad they listen to him.
When he's done they probably all have a good chuckle.

Agreed. We badly need depth and talent for the right side. But I am still not %100 sure if it is the blocking scheme or not. We run zone blocking correct? I like to see maulers on both sides of the ball in the trenches. I think that is where games are won or lost.

you'd think 3rd and 21. might as well throw it downfield and hope a WR will come down with it, the INT isn't gonna matter anyway. i mean, those 3 yards must have been crucial!!

yea we run zone blocking. even still, we don't win the battle at the LOS at all. so even if we went man, i doubt the outcome would be different.
and you're absolutely right, we need maulers, we need mean nasty guys who don't give 2 craps. right now our Guards play like they are part of the lolipop guild.

We're not in the 3rd and 21 if Joe Thomas doesn't get a claw on Barkevious Mingo.

Why punt on 4th down from the 33? It's the last game of the year, you have nothing to lose and if it goes into the end zone, you net 13 freaking yards. GO FOR IT!

Well at least we at no point have ever lead this game to lose in an embarrassing fashion. This is just expected fold up the tents fashion. Seen enough today. Maybe they pull this out in surprising fashion? As much as I want to see that. It is very doubtful.

No QB, WE2, WR3, RB, (though Baker shows some promise, we haven't had a run game except what we have manufactured this year) and so on makes it difficult to win.
Sorry, but talent plays a part, and we lack talent, especially on offense. We have 4 Pro Bowlers ..... and almost nothing else.
Of these players, how many would play on a regular basis in Pitt, Balt, or Cincy?
Lauvao, Greco, Little, Campbell, Bess, Barnidge, Weeden, Cooper, Gilkey?
I don't think that any of them would, yet we rely upon them as starters or key backups.
Bess was a major disappointment. Little hasn't done anything to progress. Campbell and Weeden both have struggled.(to be kind) Campbell has been especially disappointing, in that he has shown mental weakness when things get tough. Our Guard play has been awful.
When this pre-season started, the Browns were seen as the worst team in the NFL. That's about where we turned out, however we have developed some players to a Pro Bowl level. One thing we have not been able to do is manufacture a competent QB. That isn't on the head coach, r any of the coaches. Campbell looks competent at times, but then crumbles under pressure. That also is not on the coaches.
I am not saying that Chud has been perfect ... because he hasn't been. However, he is a 1st year head coach in a talent challenged team. That's a tough spot to be in. He is learning as he goes along. I think that he has done a solid job in difficult times.
Whatever. I almost don't even care anymore. I have had the fan in me abused so many times that it is almost impossible for me to care when we make stupid decision after stupid decision, and repeat the mistakes of the past over and over again. We earn our fan torment by following a team that does the same stupid stuff over and over and over again.
I am really sick of it.

Pittsburgh needs to win and have a 4 way, 5 team, 8-8 tie. They are a blessed team though, so it wouldn;t surprise me to see it all break their way. However, they made their own breaks too. They won when they had to.

I don't know but last game of the season, I send Campbell home at half and start weeds the second half and just let him play backyard football with gordon and just throw downfield. Campbell is worse than mccoy at checkdowns, at least mcccoys checkdowns were accurate

One AFCN team will win the Super Bowl this year ..... probably Cincinnati just to continue the Cleveland sports fan torture.

That's my thought...don't rely on miracles, just do what you need to do, and if you get lucky as a result, well then you did what you were supposed to do. Our players are mentally weak. They have no determination or resolve. They expect luck, instead of dictating the outcome with effort. Thats the biggest difference between us and them

Kansas City is resting their starters.
Houston is winning and Washigton is losing. That's huge if we want a shot at Teddy.

I should add that at this point, Pittsburgh is winning, and Baltimore and Miami are losing. If that holds up, it would make the Steelers, Ravens, Dolphins, and Jets all 8-8. They would then need the Chargers to lose their game this afternoon against the Chiefs. (who, luckily, would be resting everyone and playing for absolutely nothing as they are locked into the 5th spot) If the Chargers then win tonight, they would be the 6th seed. If they lose, and the rest of the day plays out as above, then the Steelers would be in. Oh ... now Buster Skrine is out too.

It's simple- if Houston wins and Washington loses they have the same record.
Due to strength of schedule, Washington will pick first. However, that pick belongs to St. Louis. They have Sam Bradford and would be 100x more likely than Houston to trade Teddy.

How lucky has St Louis been ... especially if that scenario comes true? They got a haul for RG3, and they could get another haul for Teddy. Geesh.

Eli got crushed because of his o-line. Not sure if that's a bad thing or not If Houston wins, we win-win either way with that game. If Washington wins Cleveland jumps them in draft order.
