That's not what I recall. I recal them saying it would be out, then when the day came they said it wasn't the real date and that it would take another like 6 months.

Bungie doesn't miss release dates because Bungie doesn't set release dates until it is *CERTAIN* to hit them.

Did everybody see that Halo 3 is being released on September 25?

I'm ordering Crackdown today probably and will be joining you girls in the Beta next Saturday or so. The test I've been trying to get ready for is next Friday and after that I'll be back to start owning you chumps again.......

FYI...If anyone hasn't yet gotten Crackdown...today only on Amazon it is $39.99 with free shipping and it has the Halo Beta. I just placed my order.

Agreed, I am glad I didn't stay up because I ended up having internet issues.

I finished DL it this morning and played two games, both of which I was outclassed.

Have to get used to the sensitivity again....I am used to Gears of War.

I'm jealous.

Oh well, its my own fault for buying a new snowboard a month ago. I could have bought a 360.

Well, that was something I told myself about 2-years ago. More exercise, more skating/snowboarding, more "doing" and less sitting. I'm 34 and it won't be too long before I can't do those types of things...

This past winter was though, all those hours in the house without a console to play.

I told my wife I wouldn't buy another system until we have a kid (so they can play). Well, we're due in Dec so I guess that means it's a green light (even though it'll be three plus years before the little kid can play).

Ya I am a huge Winter gamer.

Finish the Fight on September 25, 2007

We said Fall 2007, but did you expect Halo 3’s release date to be just two days into the Fall? On September 25, 2007 (just two days after the Autumnal Equinox), players will be able to finish the fight they started in Halo: Combat Evolved and continued in Halo 2. Halo 3 will release in Europe on September 26, 2007. Worldwide dates may vary slightly depending on local rules and conditions.

I must admit, I was very excited about the Halo 3 beta, but thus far I have not been impressed.

I really like the features they have, but it looks like crap as far as graphics go.

It looks basically just like Halo2 with some more features.


They better supe it up for the real game, or, sorry to say I won't buy it.

Now I know Bungie wouldn't do us like that, but IMO Gears of Wars Graphics are by far and away much, much better.

I am still holding out hope that they step up, but the Beta didn't get me horny like I thought it would.

I hate the laser....very dumb. They basically copied the Hammer of Dawn from Gears. IMO

I love the Laser, but that's just me. It's something that I wouldn't expect for Halo 3, but I think it's a good addition.

I'm happy with the graphics, they look good to me. Gears of War set the bar horribly high, I don't know if any game can manage to look that good while playing as it does. I was hoping Halo would retain it's looks, I feel that if it gets too much of a graphical overload, it wouldn't be Halo anymore.

I haven't been crazy over the Beta either, I've just enjoyed the time to play the game for myself.

Don't get me wrong I will buy the game, but your right, Gears set the bar pretty high.
