I don't buy that Pettine is a "Plan B" candidate. His career has followed the trajectory of other assistants that get shots as a HC. I think he was one of the candidates they wanted to interview and the one where they were both on the same page.

Not sure it's been officially reported yet, but Pettine is the guy. Jimmy Donovan is reporting it on Channel 3,,, if he's wrong, then he's gonna have lots of Egg on his face LOL
