I really don't see many rusty Dodge Rams at all around here. (newer styles)

The body is made of 2 sided galvanized steel. I don't know how much that affects things at the stamping plant.

I see a ton of Chevys and Fords rusting away around here, but maybe that is just because there are more of those running around.

that's because they are already in the scrap yard

You should see the rust on my 1500 (van). 'course, with 225k miles on it, what else would you expect?

Hell, my Dakota was 23 year old when I got rid of it. The only reason I scrapped it was because it was becoming harder to find parts for, and the floorboards were starting to go. I probably could have driven it another 3-4 years if I'd wanted to.

Can't complain about that at all.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Another reason I love living out here, the few times it snows they don't salt the roads. My truck has no rust on it. Twelve years old and the original muffler/exhaust is still clean. I can turn any nut or bolt under my truck with relative ease. No more soaking rusted over nuts with lubricant and having to use a torch to heat them before attempting to turn them... inevitably busting your knuckles.
