I have this sneaking feeling that Carr will be our guy, and we will take him at 4.
I have no idea why, just a feeling.
My sneaking feeling is that Carr may be their #1 QB target but they may see if he falls to them at #26. They will have a back-up plan if he's gone by then.
Personally, I don't think that they have any lock on a QB in the first round at all. They're doing their due diligence because they know that they will draft one (maybe even two) QBs in the draft and want to get a proper place for them to be slotted.
They may already have good slotting for players at other positions and feel that they want to get a better view of the QBs for themselves. And it serves another useful purpose. It keeps people guessing as to what their intentions are.

Cause its the most likely pick to have many run around in suicide mode here...lol
All I know is if that is the guy we are targeting...we might try a small drop back - not after the Vikings. JM might be our guy all along. I think we scouted him more than any other team. Teddy...I still say he goes #1.
People don't drop...from NFL boards - they drop from incorrect MOCK DRAFTS as they get more clues from NFL GMs??? But most Boards are done...pretty much locked in on who is the #1 QB on their board. Prodays, private workouts are Crossing the T's and dotting the I's on their decisions.
Plan B is BQ plan B was Weeden - we wanted RG3 badly. I was surprised we didn't stay put and take Tannehill. I remember the Watson and take a QB at 26 guys were saying take Blackmon and Weeden in the 2nd round (36???) or 22
No More plan B's for the most important position. Fixate on a guy you WANT and then go get them. Just like Wolf did with Favre. As he said you don't mess around you go get him as they were just in the initial negotiation stages of trade talk and the Falcons said 1st round and they immediately said. DONE!
If its Carr as long as it turns out the correct deicision...I don't care. I don't care to be right. Its the toughest position to evaluate for the Experts. As for the board Experts there is around 5 QB being taken and everyone has a detractor. The only one I wish to be correct is Farmer. What I do know he spent a lot of time during the season scouting the QBs...nobody has seen them more in the entire NFL probably so I got to go by his choice... hope the guy will come away in a couple of years known as "THE GENIUS"

So having two stud WRs is more important than having a stud QB?

In Pete Prisco (CBS sports.com) latest mock he has the Browns taking Watkins at four and then getting Bridgewater at 26.
If that were to happen first you would have to peel me off the ceiling. Then somehow, someway I would have to win the lottery and have a private box at the stadium and then go to all the away games.
Watkins is a ticking bomb. He is a big time threat from anyplace he gets the ball. He has all you want. Great hands, explosive out of cuts, fast, and when he gets the ball he is like a running back.
Of course I have been pimping Bridgewater since last year at this time.
The Browns are really getting better. There moves in free agency were on target. This draft could make a huge impact. If they can get (C+ to B- )work out of the quarterback position they can win this year.
Win this year means 9 or more wins. A winning season and who knows what happens from there.
They will play good defense.
The offense now has weapons:
Josh Gordon, Nate Burleson, Jordan Cameron, Ben Tate, Andrew Hawkins,(drafted receiver)
McQuistan will help the OL.
But the biggest move is getting out from under the dark cloud of Weeden. Having Hoyer and whoever, is better than having Weeden and Campbell.
Finally there really is light at the end of the long dark tunnel.

Correction. Prisco changed his Mock but Daniel Jeremiah has it the way Prisco had it with the Browns getting Watkins and Bridgewater.
Coming away with the best QB and the best wideout in the first round would be to too much.

Then why would we draft Watkins and Bridgewater?

Deductive Reasoning My dear Watson:
In deductive reasoning, a conclusion is reached reductively by applying general rules that hold over the entirety of a closed domain of discourse, narrowing the range under consideration until only the conclusion is left. In inductive reasoning, the conclusion is reached by generalizing or extrapolating from initial information. As a result, induction can be used even in an open domain, one where there is epistemic uncertainty. Note, however, that the inductive reasoning mentioned here is not the same as induction used in mathematical proofs – mathematical induction is actually a form of deductive reasoning.
