I'd also consider a lottery for the bottom 8 teams each season.

In the draft this year teams 3-7 are determined by strength of schedule alone, that is ridiculous. Also we lost to the jaguars and are drafting behind them

I was sitting behind that goalpost, and we went nuts cheering after the kick, because it clearly missed ........ then the Refs raised their arms and called it good. I will never buy that the FG try that cost us a Super Bowl was good. Never.

(and I know that we still would have had to drive the field for a score to win)

Worst part is that I was there with friends, but I had met these 2 really cute girls while camping out for tickets, and they gave me their money so I could buy their tickets so we could sit together. (which was kinda crazy, because they really didn't even know me, and I could have run off with their money if I had been a jerk) Anyway, with a win, who knows what kind of celebration we would have had ......... but instead ...... I wasn't even in the mood to get drunk at that point. Talk about killing the mood.

I'm not calling you a liar, because I've never known you to be. But I can't believe you weren't in the mood to get drunk at that point. Everybody else was.

Best "I almost got laid" story ever.

Believe me, I was too depressed and mad to do much of anything at that point.

What changes, if any, would you make to the NFL if you were named Comish for just one day?

I heard Mark Cuban say the NFL can't mess with Friday or Saturday because of antitrust laws. Only 2 Saturday games this year, a doubleheader on Dec 20th.

First motion passed would be I'm commish till I decide to retire as commish. Draft Day would be rotated different city each year till all team locations represented then start rotation over,NY gets 1 year in plan not 2 for each team-Giant,Jets. Draft and Dog combo would be $2.25 total and free one half for one home game each team each season. Pi--burb's Super bowl victories would be eliminated and players from those teams in HOF would also be eliminated to to roid useage. All players from AAFC year would have their stats included into their NFL stats. Dawg Pound would have no restrictions of conduct placed on Pound members during game and only Browns fans permitted to have seat there. Cameras on uprights to be used on field goal attempts. Salary structure, favorable to players and owners, would be instiuted therefore elimimnating the agents from salary game. The yellow Cry towel of Pi--burp would be banned from all games and for sale and any Pi--burp related merchandise and attire would only be permitted to be worn or displayed in that city and sold in that city or Hades. And most important My rules can not be overruled or vetoed.

First, I would institute a weight limit for all players. 299lbs is the limit. Hit 300 and you sit. Weigh ins will be twice a week during the season and playoffs. Once on Wednesday and once the day of the game. Adjustments for non Sunday games of course.... I'd space them out so players would have to maintain that weight all season. Instead of cutting a lot of weight to squeak in under the limit only to balloon up after weigh-in. Not only would this lessen injuries by impact, but carrying so much weight is unhealthy for anyone. 340+ is CRAZY and HARD on the human body.

Second, every player will be forced to wear every pad available within the rules. They are all part of the uniform and as such will be worn by each and every player, including the kicker and punter. ALL players will wear a bright chartreuse mouth piece that hangs from the face mask. If a play starts and a ref notices a players mouth piece hanging, it's a 15 yard penalty. If a ref notices a WR isn't wearing thigh pads or hip pads or even the tail bone pad, that player will be ejected from the game.

Third, Super Bowls will be rotated to every NFL city, regardless of weather. If AFC and NFC Championship games can be decided in extreme weather then so can SB's. Finally, Cleveland will host a Super Bowl.

Fourth, HGH testing will commence immediately and will continue year round. Bulking up during the off season then stopping in time for camp testing will be out.
In exchange for this, the NFL would stop testing for weed. Grass is legal in 2 States with more States likely to follow suit in the near future. I believe it's legal by prescription in 19 States and the District of Columbia. Considering the beatings these guys take, I imagine every player in the league would qualify for a script. And it would certainly be healthier than popping Perc's and Vicodin. Any DUI's or other incidents involving weed though would be cause for discipline just like alcohol.

Finally, as my last act I would place a moratorium on any new rule changes for a five year period. Changing the very nature of football every year is stupid and will eventually kill the game we all love. I think every five years the rules should be looked at followed by another five years of leaving the game alone....

Peace

knowing the Browns luck, we'd go 0-16 and draft 8th. No thanks man. If we are the worst team we earn the first pick. As a Browns fan that's been our only hope since the return. And I don't want to trust to a lottery after a pathetic season.

I was thinking about this just the other day.

I don't care how nice of a guy Jeff Fischer is, I don't like seeing him be the face on T.V. to tell everyone all of the changes coming in the new NFL season.

And that's a problem I have with Roger Gooddell as commissioner and the " competition committee". I think it may have gone unnoticed, that previous commissioners, weren't trying to orchestrate morality through rule changes in America's most popular sport.

Hey Why don't you just LEAVE IT ALONE! For one year just don't change anything! Whatever happened to just continuing with a good thing. What about " If it Ain't Broke Don't Fix It!

Ya! They have made enough Changes the last 7 years, that maybe it would be better for us fans, if we could just get used to the "expletive" messed up game they have given us, for a couple seasons before they "expletive" mess it up some more!!!!!!!
3 x Boo.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
