I agree HotBYoungTurk that Bryant does show alot of fire when he played here but I dunno about bringing him back with his non leadership in the locker room that it has been rumored he has had.

Im in favor of bringing him back. He would play his butt off if he was signed for a cheap one year deal and had to prove himself.

Seems that he had something to play for in San Fran but burned that bridge.

We gotta face facts. Bryant won't ever grow up. I thought Savage made a mistake when he let him walk. I felt that letting someone of his talent go would be felt on the field. It was. However, I didn't think he'd be dumb enough to do something stOOpid. Yet he did.

I no longer care about Antonio Bryant, no matter how smart nor how good he is, and he is both. Having two unstable WR's as starters is bad business, and we've been in the business of bad far too long.

Bryant coming back here is an idea that makes no sense.

***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy.

He COULD be a playmaker, but he IS a jackass. No thanks. We need chemistry not more problems.

Well there was this really funny commercial that had this WR in it. The guy was named "Leon" and he said some pretty funny stuff like:
" Leon only plays when Leon wants"
" Leon is the only player on the field that matters"..
......etc

Stuff like that. I hope someone posts that back up because it is pretty funny.

There are a bunch on youtube. I have to go to bed soon and it's pretty easy to find. Try Leon and Football on your search or things along those lines.

My favorite is the first one(paraphrased) :
"This is a team game that is why I am going to put the blame for the loss on their shoulders.."

"Don't you think your 4 fumbles contributed to the loss"

Leon" Not if one of those other guys would have jumped on them..again Leon can't do everything."

Vers gave him the nickname. Most people where all over his back for it but it seems the tide has changed somewhat. I can only hope that he gives Vers a reason to change his tune.

As of right now,the tune we have for your listenning pleasure is a little diddy called,"Shut Up & Catch the DAMNED BALL!"

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

First, I do NOT care who wins games for us (excludes known felons; that should thin the herd). But I do not want this kind of guy if the coaches refuse to use them. The skills we buy 'em for aren't showing up regularly on the field. And we haven't been successful at any phase of offense consistently enough (punts being the sole exception — practiced that a-plenty!) to have an "identity." A MAJOR part of this talent bypass operatoion goes to coaches: if we have weapons and fail to use 'em, to call their numbers, Bryant or Moss or Peterson or whomever will not give you all your buck's bang. And when we do call a number and Braylon or whoever has a rash of drops (love those flashy interviews after another loss), I expect performance. No points for getting open, none for separation. Deep threats do not apply if we do not challenge deep with our draw and 4 to 8 yard passing tree routes.
Browns time to get some soon!

I am singing along, pal. Charge 'em one per cent for each drop regardless of weather and circumstance. That way, if all get 100 balls, they determine their own worth; catch over 100, get a bonus! Edwards would have starved last year! LOLetc

Man...........I wish they would bring back those commercials. They were hilarious. In the meantime, I have to settle for watching Edward's impersonation of Leon. It would be funnier if he played for a different team, but you take what you can get.

Well, you may or may not get to see it much longer. I've heard that there were some in the FO that was "fed up" with Edwards' attitude last year. This off season Edwards was told about it. He has since had a "come to Jesus" meeting with his dad. He apologized to Frye, RAC, and Savage and said that he has learned from those mistakes and they would not happen again. This was all behind closed doors, so I hope they are sincere. It doesn't mean he has changed, but at least has claimed to have recognized and dealt with the problem. I hope he does. Oh, and for anyone else that will ask, there is no link. I can't link to personal conversations I've had, sorry. As always, this is personal information I have gotten and you can take it or leave it.

Yeah, I heard that they were disgusted w/his behavior too.

Hopefully, the kid gets his act together. He really does have great talent. He's unbelievably big, strong, and possesses great leaping ability. He is also very dangerous after the catch.

I don't think he'll ever be a great route runner or technician and I don't think he'll ever be a guy who isn't afraid of contact when going over the middle, so he will still have a problem w/drops.

But, I think he can improve in his preparation, commitment, and attitude. The attitude is the key. Having a big ego can be a good thing. For example, if he thinks---I'm great and I can make plays that will help the team win games. As opposed to---I'm great and you guys suck. Why should I bust listen to you or bust my ass when I'm surrounded by chumps?

The key is.......he can turn it around. I'm hoping he does. I'll drop the "Leon" handle if he does, as it was just in fun anyway.

One comment coach,,, if that's the case and you got that from a source within the Browns, it's gotta be a very Highly Placed source,, like Phil, Romeo, Randy and maybe the OC, Chud.. My guess is that if there were any truth to it, it would never leave that inner circle of people..

With that High Profile of a Player that was picked 3rd in the draft, that inner circle is small,. the reason is simple. If they do trade/Cut him, they want to do the spin before it hits the media..

So, if your source isn't one of them, I doubt it's accurate at all!! JMO however

I'll share a little of what I told you in PM. Edwards told my "source" that the FO was angry about what happened, about the meeting with his dad, and the apologies. Again, take it for what you will, but that's how it got out of that "inner circle".

I can back coach up on this one. It doesn't have to come directly from the inner circle. And their unhappiness w/him came way before Chud was even on board. Believe me, I still don't think you guys realize what a distraction and problem Leon was to the team this year. The conversations on him were exactly secretive. Everyone knew what was going on.

one can only hope that someone got through to him. It'd be a shame for him to waste his talent by being an arrogant jerk.

I think its absolutely stupid and confusing for people especially when we have a guy named Leon on the team. But whatever. Say what you will. At least I know what the heck you guys are talking about now.

Confusing? Maybe this will help. Leon had the nickname of Leon before Leon arrived, thus by right of being the first born, maintains the name of Leon, although Leon can be Leon too, or is that Leon II?

I also didnt want Bryant to leave the Browns last year but now seeing what the Browns have to sign other than Bryant. Why not pick up Drew Carter or Samie Parker over this guy if hes that big of a ass. Obviously SanFran didnt want him or they would have kept him longer than a year.

Following a victory over the Seattle Seahawks on November 19, 2006, Bryant was arrested after his Lamborghini was seen speeding faster than 100 mph on Highway 101. He was charged with suspicion of misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence, and resisting arrest. As a result, Bryant was suspended for four games by the NFL. He sat out the final two games of the 2006 season, and was scheduled to sit out the first two games of the 2007 season.

On March 1, 2007, however, Bryant was released by the 49ers. He was due to be paid $1.25 million in the 2007 season, prior to being cut.
